We ordered takeout at the Beaverton location having never tried this restaurant. Surprise delicious food, one Enchilada meal with chicken fed my hubs and me. Corn tortilla was really fresh, chicken had real flavor, red sauce was not spicy just great flavor. The beans were smooth not fatty, good rice. Everything was excellent! The decor, the staff, especially the food. One of my benchmarks for any Mexican restaurant is if the refried beans are flavorful. These were probably the best I've had in decades! Opening chips and salsa also came with spicy bean dip. The carne asada nachos were light and plenty of toppings. We ordered the Taco Tuesday ($5 off) surf & turf tacos and the bacon wrapped shrimp was cooked to perfection. My Cadillac margarita was delicious and the guava margarita ordered by my friend was also quite tasty. I believe they were voted best Mexican restaurant in Portland at some point, and I would heartily agree. read more

We used to come here on regular basis but now it's once every couple months due to price increased. Food is good. My fav are carne asada plate and birria bowl. What a fun and cute spot! We ordered a side of guac to start and mannn was this fresh! The free chips and salsa came with this amazinggg bean dip. We honestly loved the bean dip. Then I ordered the Titos tacos and it was loaded with beef and beans and guac! Ri ordered the Mole Enchiladas and wowww the portions are HUGE! The rice and beans plus the cheese was so flavorful and tasty. Overall the price was relatively inexpensive based on the huge portions they gave us. My wife and I have stopped by a couple of times now and I'm very confident in my review. Here are the greatest hits: * Service: Both times we had excellent service. The servers were friendly and attentive! * Table-side Guacamole is an A+. I know it's gimmicky but this a must! * The Chips & Salsa is another A+. First, their tortilla chips are quite good. They have the right crisp and the corn taste isn't overpowering like they tend to be at other restaurants. Second, they provide both a mild and a spicy salsa on the side AND this delicious bean dip which, in my opinion, is the star of the show! * If I'm being honest, I wasn't a fan of their Tacos al Carbon, but I will say that the skirt steak within was really delicious. It was nice and tender and flavorful. The beans & rice were delicious, too. I think next time, I'll bypass the tacos, and just get the skirt steak by itself with the beans and rice. Unfortunately, this place doesn't serve Coca-Cola products. So instead, I went with Sierra Mist (which is totally fine because for some reason, non-colas like Sierra Mist, 7Up or Sprite are really good with Mexican food). Anyway, that's my review. A friend suggested Si Senor as a meeting place for lunch. Service was excellent, and we each had an easy time finding what we wanted on the menu. Chips and salsa hit just the right notes - the salsa had enough kick to be interesting, without being painful. They came with a warm bowl of refried beans as well, a perfect accompaniment. My only quibble, and it is a minor one, is that lunch combos appear to have chicken, shredded beef, and ground beef as the only options. Other items, like cochinita or pastor would be nice to have, but I'm certain that the economics of including them in a lunch special would be impractical. I've been to this restaurant probably 75 times since 2006 but never again, for two strawberry lemonades and a Pepsi I was charged $29. Horrible server took 25 minutes to take our order and had to ask multiple times for water refills. Just got takeout tonight for the family. We ordered four kids enchiladas meals. Two small and two grande. We also got a side of guac. Usually the food is amazing but once we got it home, we realized that it was way too salty. The kids took two bites and refused to eat anymore. We ended up making sandwiches for dinner. It's a shame because we just spent $60 on all the food and it went right into the garbage. It's a bummer one of our favorite places was disappointing tonight. Si Senor is a local restaurant to us, and we've become big fans over the short time we've lived in the area. We decided to try it for Cinco De Mayo (honestly our first mistake, we'll acknowledge that one). The wait was two hours inside, but they said they could seat us outside immediately. They took us to a back patio with no cover and literally two tables on it, both empty. We proceeded to spend the next 2.5 hours there, waiting over an 1 hour for our food after ordering. On top of that, one of our party ordered, then realized the item wasn't gluten free after being told it was by the waiter, quickly chased down the server and changed the order, but it wasn't picked up by the kitchen. The rain started literally the same minute our food arrived. I went on a mission to find a table under cover, and they ended up finding two tables inside that they could push together for us. The gluten free friend's order then came out wrong, and she had to wait another 20 minutes for the corrected food. All in all, they did their absolute best to help us on an insane night, and because of that I will still recommend them! But know before you go on a holiday (and Friday night no less) that it will be crazy, and it's the nature of the beast. The food was great though, as always! My family and I really enjoy SiSeñor, tonight my son and I stopped by. We had been stuck at home after the snow and could not wait to get out of the house. they have moved their menu from a QR code to a very large menu now to a double sided board with their top choices, you can then scan the QR code if you wish to review the entire menu. My son ordered a street burrito, it's like a flatten tortilla served on a small wood block. He had an asada burrito and mention that it was very tasty. I had a combo plate with three soft tacos, Carnitas , Asada and an Al Pastor taco with rice and beans. The tacos had plenty of meat and were garnished with cilantro and onions. The beans, salsa and rice are very authentic. I was surprised when I asked for another salsa that they charged for it, but I guess with inflation some things carry an additional charge. It's not an inexpensive dinner but occasionally it's worth the cost. The wait staff are always friendly and come around regulary to check on you. It's a very family friendly place. read more

Looked for a place to get Mexican food with my daughter and her toddler. This place was great for kids and adults - colorful and busy. Kept our one year old entertained. We were greeted and seated quickly and felt welcomed. The menu is extensive with a lot of choices. We settled for fajitas, tacos and the lamb shank. All our meals were delicious and delivered promptly. Our toddler enjoyed his quesadilla. The waiter checked on us often. The only complaint I have is that it is quite expensive! Have been here a few times and every time I've had a great time with friends, family and coworkers. I believe the near the end of every month they have a Mariachi band come and play music and take requests (make sure to bring cash) and the food is delicious compared to other Mexican restaurants. Staff is always friendly, if you go during happy hour there's a different drink menu that is definitely nice. I ordered some $15 drink I forgot the name but it was HUGE. Plenty of parking but the closer spots get all taken up as it gets busy, kid friendly, wheelchair accessible, they can accommodate to food preferences or allergies and friendly staff. read more

Combo plate was the traditional Chile relleno and enchiladas so about a 3. Loved making reservations on open table and they had a table for 12 on Thanksgiving eve and had a great waiter. Just awful! I'm only giving a two star because our waiter was nice but he was so slow! We were seated and didn't get water or anything for 20MINS! I had to go ask could we get some water. No one cared to check on us. The salsa is from a jar nothing authentic about it. If you are going to charge $18 for a margarita please let it taste like $18. We had to ask for an extra shot. The food was subpar at best. I got all my tacos hard shell and of course they are the store bought tacos shells nothing special. The al pastor was a fatty and I spit most of it out! I will never go back. I will save my $50 next time and just cook at home where I can get better service and food, not that mediocre crap for food. read more

We love this place! We've been going for a few years now and it's been cool to watch them grow, refine and improve the food and ambiance. They've expanded to include a large party space in the back and a beautiful patio. The service is absolutely part of why we go. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and they all know their stuff. Never a mistake and always attentive! But the food...is beyond! I love the Albondigas Soup and pork Tamale. I pretty much get the same thing every time, but every now and then I throw in some Al Pastor Street Tacos to add a little variety. (The verde sauce served with those tacos should be bottled and sold! Ask for more!) So...if you're looking for a new go-to Mexican Restaurant, give Si Senior a shot. We had a super busy day and almost forgot to order dinner for our hungry young adults. Not many places were opened past 8pm except Si Señor. We ordered the Family Fajita pack dinner and menudo. They ran out of menudo but their friendly manager Hector worked a deal and him and I became quick friends when he gave me the option to choose something else on their menu of equal value and so I went with carne asada because my son loves it so much. The food was delicious as usual, chicken tender and not dry, shrimp soft and succulent. What lit up my eyes and taste buds was there carne asada that I got in exchange for the menudo. This has to be one of the most softest and tender carne asada that I've ever had. Sabroso!!! Adéle at the front counter was so welcoming and friendly when I arrived and the decor and energy was so positive here. Adéle said that they make their dishes the same authentic way as if you were in Mexico yourself. Very impressive!! Our to-go food was placed in their insulated delivery bags to keep them warm. Free chips, salsa, and bean dip that was great. We got an assortment of things, all of which were really good. I had the enchilada plate with 3 different types of enchiladas - loved it. My kids got the kids chicken enchilada plates and loved them - especially the beans that came on the side. My wife got the barria tacos and also really enjoyed them. I shared a pina colada with the wife, which was good, and the kids split a virgin pina colada that was even better (I'll get that next time). I have been a Si Senior patron pretty much since they opened on Hall Street. I've seen the menu change and grow and get more focused, as it is now. I've tried just about every menu item over the years, and I consider myself well informed on this establishment. That being said...there is NOTHING BETTER than the Surf & Turf Tacos and an ice cold Corona Premier (low carb low cal beer). Also, they have vegetarian and vegan tacos that do not disappoint, for that healthy eater in the family. The owner prides himself on vegan/vegetarian options. If you haven't tried it, stop in on any Taco Tuesday, or any day, and treat yourself. Don't overdo it on the best chips and salsa around, because you will need the room for the 3 amazing tacos that will fill you up, or leave you with one for the road.
