Its a bit sad, but I'm pretty sure the people here know me. They have this amazing bean dip that you get with your chips and its addicting! I've tried a lot of things on their menu and one thing that remains the same throughout is that is really is as close to authentic as you'll get without going to Mexico. My experience was absolutely terrible. I was notified my order was ready. Got there and was told its not and it will be 2-3 min. Fine. Almost 20 minutes later and no update and all the front servers avoided eye contact and would not update me unless i asked. My family tried Si Senor for the first time last Monday. We were a little worried when we walked in and the place was virtually empty. However, it turned out to be to our benefit. I had steak fajitas upon recommendation from our waiter. They were fabulous! Two of my family members ordered burritos. They were huge! Bring a big appetite. The food was great and the service was WONDERFUL. My only complaint, and it isn't much of one because I still ate it, was that the cheesecake in my xangos was still frozen. Si Senor on Hall Blvd. is our favorite Mexican restaurant - family owned and operated (Lazaro and Janet). Its a great place for families and small or large groups. The staff is very friendly and remembers you on return visits. The menu is quite large and if you don't see exactly what you want, they are more than happy to accommodate you. We have many favorites, but my all time favorite is Barbacoa. Very tender cubed beef in a fantastic sauce, roll up in a warm flour tortilla with onion and cilantro. They also have a great little salsa bar with 5-6 different salsas from mild to really hot. This is in addition to the warm chips, salsa and bean dip that is served to every table. The "original margarita" is a favorite as well as the "Si Senor" with fresh squeezed orange and lime juice. We eat mexican at least 4 times a month and I must say they are at the top of my list for American mexican food. Good food but not cheap. Couple drinks and four meals 90 bucks. Hall Blvd mexican should be cheaper but it's tasty. I've eaten at every possible joint locally and I like them for the sit down type of establishment. read more

This is our second visit. Just as tasty and the service was just as great! In between the first and current visit, we went to the Si Senior on Salzman. Awful service and mediocre food. We couldn't leave soon enough. But for some reason, the Si Senior on Hall is much, much better! We've hadn't had to ask for chips and/or salsa refills (they're on it). Drinks pour nicely by Hector! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to get beers by my apartment. With not many options within walking distance we decided to stop in here. I've been in for an occasional burrito on a lazy Sunday afternoon so I was surprised by Saturday night crowd. Even will the full restaurant we got fast friendly service by any of the staff that came by. We were seated right away and given some delicious chips and salsa AND beans to go with our Modelo. And it keeps on coming. I can really appreciate a place that let's the freebies keep coming :). I only give the 4 stars instead of 5 because they didn't have the Modelo Negro. This was the second time we have dined here and the 2nd visit was very disappointing. We had terrible service. Took a long time to even get our drink orders filled and when I ordered a side salad they brought me a small plate with shredded lettuce and two slices of tomato. Then they brought us our burrito missing the guacamole and it took forever to get our servers attention and tell them they forgot the guacamole on it, he questioned us saying "I don't think it came with guacamole, but I'll check." He came back with a bowl with guacamole and apologized. We enjoyed the blue agave drink, but are not in a rush to try this place again. read more

They were not exceptionally busy for lunch time on a Saturday, but it seemed that they were rushed. Took 10 minutes to get our sodas & chips. Placed our orders that came within a reasonable amount of time. Fajitas were ok, but there was no green sauce (or any sauce) on my chimi. I asked if it was supposed to be that way & got a blank stare from the server. He walked away & never came back. I don't think we will be returning there again. read more

Our family came in for dinner to celebrate my moms birthday on a Sunday evening, and everything was great till we were waiting forever for our food, one plate came out, and then 10-15 mins later the other 2 plates came. I wasn't happy and neither was my family. Went there last night for my first time. The bean dip was really good and so was the salsa and chips. I ordered the steak fajitas and got a lot of food. I got a huge plate of beans and rice a bunch of tortillas. The steak came on a iron skillet with bell peppers and sautéd onion and also a plate with lettuce, guac, and sour cream. The service here was amazing the staff were all so friendly and polite. I ordered a margarita and it was huge and very good and strong. Over all it went very well and I would go again and tell or bring people with me. read more

Being from Southern CA I have certain standards when it comes to Mexican food and SI Senior consistently hits the spot! This place makes fresh food with good quality ingredients. Each dish we have tried is very good. From basic taco and enchilada dinners to the most excellent Alambre fajita like dish. The rice and beans are both very good too! They have a nice happy hour menu in the afternoon and the 9pm hour that is worth trying especially if you are looking for a couple snacks rather than an entree. We also appreciate their fresh salsa bar very much. On top of the good food, this place has impressive customer service. The servers are very polite and speedy. They are happy to accommodate special requests or make suggestions. If you are regulars like we are quickly becoming they even remember you. We all got to thinking that Mexican food would be nice, and I had seen a coupon in the Clipper, which I quickly clipped and we were on our way to Si Senor. It's very homey, the waitstaff is incredibly warm and friendly. I heard the word Gracias so many times I lost count. Hubby had chicken fajitas, which smelled and tasted (yes, I always sample his food) delicious. I had the special of the evening, which included pork carnitas, beans, rice, pico and a chili relleno. The boy child had a cheese quesadilla. He's not so adventurous. All portions are HUGE and free chips, bean dip and salsa are served before the meal arrived - so you'll leave full! There were a couple of things I didn't enjoy... don't sit in the booth that is nearest the front door. Every time someone comes in or out of that door it's startling and a blast of cold air hits ya. Secondly and my only complaint about the food... the chili relleno tasted weird. The first bite was good, but then I noticed that it had that kind of taste like it had been sitting in the walk-in and absorbing food odors. I won't order that again, but I'll definitely be back to dine at Si Senor. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for some great Mexican food, it's a great place to eat. read more

This was our go to neighbor restaurant. Most of the meals are delicious. The molcajete is wonderful. Some of the dishes are so-so, mostly the shrimp dishes. The staff is friendly and prompt. Their regular and skinny margaritas are delicious and have the right proportion of tequilla. read more

I've been a regular for a couple of years. The food is always great. The Cadillac margaritas are the best. The service is excellent; the staff knows me and brings my margarita and guacamole soon after I'm seated. However, the last time I was there, one of their staff stole my credit card number and used it at an out-of-state retailer. If I do go back, I'll never use a credit card there again. This place has been a family favorite since we discovered them a few months back. I was just in today, and ordered something new. The three-item lunch combo with chile relleno, shredded beef enchilada, and pork tamale. The enchiladas are soft and flavorful with plenty of meat inside, the relleno was probably the best I've ever tasted with plenty of cheese and a perfectly cooked egg exterior, and the tamale was - by far and away - the absolute best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The Masa on the outside was soft and tasty, it had tons of tender pork inside, and the sauce they serve it with is entirely delicious. Cone and Jorge are fantastic servers as well, just to top it off. This place rocks, and I just joined Yelp to tell you about it. read more

We love Si Senor. Usually prompt and friendly service, decent food and a greet little bar. We go often as a "I dunno, what do you want? I dunno either. Maybe Si Senor?" Go-to dinner night and are always content. Plus they have bean dip at the table as you sit down, which is awesome because I'm usually ready to eat someone's arm by the time we arrive. I like the Pozole and the Tacos al Pasor. They also do a whole roast fish which is quite delicious. We probably go two or three times a month. Never had a bad experience. read more

Gooooood Margaritas! It's over 100 degrees today and I wanted a margarita so bad. Unfortunately, good ones are few in far between in our beloved P-town. Because of a coupon dug out of the recycling bin, we decided on Si Senor (sadly, the AC was broken and we were dripping sweat by the end of our meal). Anyway, I think chips and salsa are what keeps me going out for Mexican and the spicy bean dip served alongside at Si Senor made me smile. By the way, did I mention the margaritas were awesome?
