Si Senors is very good. We eat here probably twice a month. The staff is great and the food is very good. Love the salsa. The shrimp cocktails are very authentic as is most of their food. The carne is delicious. This is one of the better mexican restaruants in the Portland area. The prices are right and the food is always worth what we pay. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. They have a self serve salsa bar. All of the salsas are incredible!! The homemade tortillas are great and the sell them for togo also. we sat in the bar the atmosphere was very crazy. It was fun but I wasn't drinking so i just enjoyed the free entertainment. By far the best Mexican food I have ever had. Southern California has some pretty choice spots, but Si Senor has set the bar that I compare them to. My family and I go here once every other week I think. Not intentionally, but we just somehow manage to keep returning because it is always so good. The service is also great. This is one of our go to Mexican restaurants when we are in Beaverton. During peak hours you might have to wait. The wait staff are very nice and very tentive. The food is very good and the quantity always provides enough for take home. The drinks are very good and not watered down. We will return to Si Senor again. read more

This Mexican food is unfortunately very Americanized and quite honestly watery. White rice in a veggie burrito simply isn't what I would call Mexican cuisine. While the service was good and the Margaritas are fairly tasty, this restaurant left me to continue on the journey of finding authentic Mexican food in the Portland Metro area. Serving sizes were huge which seemed promising, but left overs were no better that what was served at the restaurant. I'm sure this is the food for someone, but not for us. read more

My boyfriend and I have come here many many times, and have always had a great experience. The food tastes great -- although the portions are HUGE! The drinks are fantastic (try the Bulldog margarita). The employees are absolutely the friendliest and most welcoming people I've ever met in a restaurant. This location has a nice outdoor seating area. Although it's situated on a busy road, the patio is build up so that there is a decent barrier between you and the road, so it's a pleasant place to eat. One of my biggest pet peeves with outdoor seating in restaurants is you tend to get infrequent visits from the waiters as opposed to sitting inside. Not here, however. No matter where you sit (bar, inside, outside), you are waited on plenty. One time I ordered a strawberry margarita here and at first didn't think there was any alcohol in it. I thought I might have ordered a virgin one by mistake, since I had simply pointed to a drink on the drink menu. I asked the waiter and he said that yes, he had put alcohol in it. I thanked him and then he offered to put more shots in it! I declined since my intent wasn't to get free alcohol -- I just thought I might have ordered the wrong drink by mistake. He again offered which was so nice of him. After dinner, we asked for the manager, who came by almost immediately. We told him how our waiter was so nice about the margarita thing (and indeed was a great waiter for the rest of our meal as well). The owner thanked us and gave us free shots of tequila! Like I said, the employees here are stellar and that alone would be enough to bring us back. If you are at all in the area, please do yourself a favor and eat here. Just be sure to bring your appetite, because every plate of food is platter sized! read more

As far as family-friendly, good, quick service goes, Si Senor is pretty awesome. The food isn't going to blow your mind but it's reliable Tex Mex and even though it's a massive place (we were almost scared off by the number of cars in the parking lot!), they really move people through without making you feel rushed. read more

Great people, great vibe, really good options for drinks(both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), but not so good vegetarian options, especially the veggie burrito was not upto the mark only contained lettuce, and beans and smothered with cheese, had to explicitly mention(the next time we went) to remove extra-cheese, and add more salsa. read more

Overpriced. Mediocre food. Slow service. Don't let the giant sign that says "Kids eat free" on Monday fool you. Only counts with a purchase of a regular entree per kid, so single parents out there with multiple kids are not validated. Plenty of better Mexican food in this town with better service. read more

We went to Si Señor last night mainly because it was the only place open (other than fast food and/or chains) and we had a coupon. We will be back. The service was superb. With the exception of one error in our order, which turned out not to be a bad thing (and which he made up for by bringing free tortillas), our waiter was attentive, friendly, and our food and drinks were delivered quickly. (And we didn't have our entrees arriving before we had a chance to finish our appetizer.) He kept our water glasses filled and brought us any extras we asked for. Despite the fact that we didn't leave until at least 30 minutes after they closed, we never felt rushed or unwanted. The food and drinks were delicious. My husband is still talking about how much he enjoyed his coffee nudge and my sangria (a very large serving) was just the right combination of sweet and tart. Our dinner companion was thrilled that he was able to order an item he hasn't had since he lived in Mexico several years ago. (He couldn't find it on the menu but when he asked for it the server said, but of course.) He thought it was great and especially praised the meat. My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. Try to go at least twice a month and also get an order to go which isn't as much fun as eating it there. When my sister comes to visit it's a given she'll want to eat there. And I'm always happy when she remarks how good the food, service (a big kudos to all of you that have served me so well), and ambiance are. Despite salsa, chips, & great guacamole, we nearly always have to get another serving of bean dip. Si Señor is what I consider a lovely perk to living here. When in te for happy hour tonight unfortunately it took 10 minutes for the server to greet us we got to Grande margaritas they were good but also on the weak side ordered the appetizer nacho for happy hour it was good except it had like 2 tablespoons of shredded beef on it. When we finished our margaritas the server asked if we would like another we said no we were finished with our nachos he then proceeded to go to the front desk and enter his charge tips on his visa report took over 10 minutes to cash us out we found him at the front desk after we waited too long and decided to get up and have to pay. I have been going here for about 4 years now. I was spoiled and grew up with Mexican food in AZ. This place rivals, if not beats, every one of my favorite places there in the "all around" category! I don't venture past a few dishes because I really don't need to. Chips, salsa, and bean dip to start out are all on point. So good you could just come in for this starter and a couple drinks if you want. Add guac dip to the mix and you are good to go. Their ground beef and their pastor have to be the top three in the city. Seasoned perfectly and tasty. The taqueria and casa del matador pastor are both their own style and I think all could be at the top depending on your favorite style. You see a lotta non Mexican restaurants taking a swing at pastor and you should hold out for eating it at one of the three places I mentioned. Ground beef is number one though - would love feed back if anyone has found better or a place that stands somewhere near the top! Corn tortillas are made there and if the flour tortillas aren't made there then they must have a little lady with an old recipe drop them off each day from her house. Both are delicious. My go to's Any burrito or taco plate with pastor or their macho burrito with ground beef. If you want to mix up your taco plates ask for flour tortillas. Pastor is really easy to mess up. I like it here because they don't over do it with the sweetness. Just a hint. Just right. With some tangy heat. The beans and rice are solid. I'm normally a red sauce kinda guy but their verde here is flavorful with good heat. You don't need to add bottled hot sauce to get the flavor - it's all there already. Careful, this place is FILLING. So if you are trying to get your drink on ya gotta watch the trance you get sucked into. Especially if you are going out after! Drinks: Modelo on tap son. Buncha tequilas. They have the margaritas with a mini corona bottle in it. Or the chickarita that comes with leftovers in the shaker they made it with. The ladies of our group get them every time because they like to keep it classy. Service: these guys are the best in the business. We sit in the bar tables every time. They all know who I am and who my jamigos are. Every time we go in they all greet us with smiles and fist pounds and quick and funny service. I see one stars on here for service and boo to you. You probably went in with bad attitudes because there has not been one time out of the 30 I have been that I didn't see the service hustling and busting their butts to get cold drinks and hot plates to people on crazy busy nights. If they were not nice to you they probably fed off your energy and didn't want you to come back. I have had only one time where my plates for 6 people didn't come out quickly. No place deserves one star for slow food one time. Everyone of my friends from out of town that come to visit from all over say that this place is amazing. I know it's not sexy matador or some swanky inner east side place with Edison bulbs, the express for men store soundtrack with infused tequilas and infused avocados and all that... This place is authentic Mexican food. This place is full of Mexican colors and Mexican humor and Mexican heritage - lotta laughs happen here.
