My wife and I love our neighborhood Mexican food place. I have tried lots of the offerings but I'm really fond of the Tacos al Pastor, best I have had. Everything I have tried has been delicious, tamales, tacos, burritos, enchiladas and chimichangas. They have a full bar with several types of margaritas and many beers and other mixed drinks. I really love coming here. Half of the reason I come here is the staff. I am always greeted in Spanish and they make me feel a part of their culture. The reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the food has been inconsistent 2 out of the 6 times I've been here. I think it may be that there is a different chef that works on the weekends. Incredible food if you're sitting in, the waitresses have an attitude though if you're calling in for a pick up order, I was told to hold on about three or four times over the phone even though I was being patient and not pushing my order and waiting over and over again. Then I picked up my order and the girl at the counter handed it to me never made eye contact with me because she was too busy talking to another waitress and I paid and left. We went there yesterday for a late afternoon meal. They had a happy hour, going on anywhere in the restaurant, but there wasn't much to it. The drinks were $1 off, but the food selection left much to be desired. There was a lot of food and it was good. The drinks were big and had a fair amount of alcohol in them. while a little more expensive than your usual Mexican restaurant...... it is great food and well worth the extra bucks while eating. The service is excellent and the food is prompt. My friend would order a plate that had grilled asada (steak) served with beans and veggies and tortillas of your choice he always ate it all.... I would order the seafood chimichanga and that is pretty much all I ever order there. I keep meaning to try something else but they are the only ones around that has a seafood chimi..... I find myself craving it. There are a few dishes reasonably priced.... I do have to say I was not a fan of the fajitas.... I dont like the sauce they put on it... but again that is a preference not a reflection of their food.... I would recommend you try this place for good mexican and just enjoy it. read more

A really nice place! It seems very popular since there were a lot of folks there. Decor was pretty and there were lots of great little murals. I got the enchiladas and the sauce was very very good. My buddy got the fajitas and was very impressed. They also had a menu of specifically more traditional food which was really cool! I have been waiting for my check for 15 minutes. But that is only the first issue. When we first sat down the service was spot on. It quickly fell apart. For food the steak fajitas looked like jerky and was a disappointment. Salsa is weak and lacking flavor or heat. When asking for something hotter I could walk to the front of the testy and figure out which empty pot of salsa was spicy. Oh well the margarita was good read more

It was a beautiful spring day and our crew was in the mood for Mexican food. We chose Si Senor based upon their outdoor patio, but unfortunately, they were not seating outside that afternoon. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. We were quickly seated inside and greeted by a server to take our drink order. The margaritas were mediocre, but still hit the spot. We started with guac and chips (made fresh at the table), which was delicious! Members of our group selected chicken enchiladas, carne asada, chicken fajitas, and the show-stopper molcajete! I cannot rave enough about how delicious the molcajete was -- filled to the brim with various proteins, vegetables, and cheese and accompanied by tortillas, beans, and rice. There was no way that we could finish it! It could easily be shared by two or three people. We left with full bellies and several to-go boxes in tow. If you're looking for quality Mexican food near Washington Square, stop by Si Senor and order a molcajete! You won't be disappointed! read more

The restaurant on Hall is my sister's favorite so we ate there in August. When I discovered that I forgot my credit card, I called the next morning. The manager said they had my card and would keep in the office. I live in Vancouver so I sent my sister to pick it up. When my sister arrived, the server from the previous day said he would get it and kept her waiting 15 minutes. When he finally gave it to her, he brought it out from the front hostess stand. My sister was suspicious so I checked the activity on the card and sure enough, someone from the restaurant had taken it to several business and used it online as well, racking up over $900. I called and spoke with the owner and he said he would check the security video and call me back. He didn't. I also made a police report and Beaverton police never did anything about it either. I rarely think to write reviews, and rarely ever complain about experiences. But I felt it necessary to say something about my experience tonight. I took my 19 month old daughter out to Si Senor because it said "family mexican restaurant" .. I was surprised to not be offered a children's menu, but was given a kids cup of water. Maybe I'm spoiled by most restaurants that offer crayons and other stuff to occupy kids. But that's not what my main complaint is about. There were flies, everywhere in the restaurant. The restaurant did not seem dirty, but there were flies all over the eating area. I can only imagine how gross the kitchen must be if there are flies all over the dining room. Also, the chicken (in my pollo asada) was horrendously overcooked. Very dry, as was the meat in the tamale we ordered. After asking 3 times for the tortillas that were supposed to come with my meal, I gave up and just ate it as is. The waiter never brought my bill, despite hearing my daughter losing her marbles at how long we had to wait for it, I finally had to hunt him down to pay the bill. I've eaten at other Si Senor's in the past and it's been great, but I probably will not be going back to this location. read more

Was so disappointed to find out that they are serving supposedly 16 ounces of beer in a 12 ounce glass, thereby cheating on four ounces. I use to lo to go in for happy hour and their carne asado tacos. But when I discovered the cheating on the beer, I stopped going in. I did bring it to their attention and hopefully they have corrected the what I hope is a mistake and not a deliberate attempt to cheat their customers! Haven't been in to check though. read more

We moved into the area about 1 yr ago, and we eat Mexican food every Friday (call it a tradition), so we needed to find a good place! Sure enough, we stopped at Si Senor, and this place is AMAZING! The food is fantastic (I have several favorites!) and believe it or not, our friends and family travel from Clackamas to join us because the food is so good. The service is equally great, and the margaritas are the best! Only downside? It's expensive...so make sure to find coupons! Otherwise, great restaurant :) read more

Every time I go here the service is okay, and the food isn't very good. Sometimes the waiter tries to take my order without writing it down, as they try to remember the order, and guess what, he got the order wrong, (this has happened multiple times I've gone here). When I order the happy hour tacos, they've been sitting on a plate so long by the time the food comes out that the bottom is soggy and sometimes even breaks at the bottom. The steak in the steak fajitas are very dry, and a dry steak is a not even worth it. Although, the churros I had for desert were pretty good, but not even close to the best churro I ever had, and the blackberry lemonade was actually kind of good, even though all the flavoring had collected at the bottom and requires stirring every so often. Si señor isn't a good restaurant any time of the year, don't waste your time here it's not worth it, save yourself! I personally recommend Mazatlan over Si Señor, as Mazatlan never disappoints, when it comes to service and food. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE in the bar. When I and my 2 friends arrived there were only two tables occupied. The bar tender just looked as us as we are going to make him work. He never approached us, we had to walk up to the bar to place our drink order. When we asked him for chips and salsa, he just gave us a dirty look. We were very disappointed with his service and demeanor. After we finished our drinks, he didn't even ask us if we wanted another drink. We think his name is Hector. He has curly hair and is a stocky guy. Should you come here and see him working in the bar, just walk out. Don't even bother for you will be disappointed by his service. read more

My husband and I tried this restaurant for lunch today. I discovered the restaurant based on mostly positive reviews here on Yelp and the pics of the food looked great. We were seated right away and saw that the restaurant was mostly empty. We were served water, hot chips, salsa and hot bean dip right away. The bean dip and salsa were tasty! Waiter took our drink orders right away but we did have to wait a bit to receive the drinks (nothing fancy, a coke and an iced tea). Orders were taken once the drinks were delivered, but unfortunately, our food took awhile to arrive, and another set of diners who had gotten seated after us, received their food way before we did -- that's the ONLY reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. Both the hubs and I ordered off of the lunch menu - and nothing super complicated, I had an enchilada and added on a tortilla soup, he had chicken nachos. So I would have thought the kitchen was prepared for delivering those lunch items pretty quickly, but the length of time it took to get the food made me question how long it would have taken if this was a busy Friday or Saturday night. But despite the slower than normal amount of time to receive our entrees, we will be back. Why? The service was friendly, can't fault the upfront staff for slowness in the kitchen. And the food was great! The tortilla soup is everything I could have wished for in a tortilla soup, and if that sounds cheesy, I don't even care, it was super delicious, flavorful, came with good sized pieces of tortilla, chicken, jack cheese, and sides of lime, cilantro, and sour cream. Had the Bandera Enchiladas and they were great. Loved their version of coleslaw. The margarita was REALLY good. He had the Fajita combo and was loved it.
