I was driving from San Antonio to Phoenix and stopped for the night in Deming, NM. While I stayed at the Best western I asked the front desk person about good mexican restaurants and was told about Si Senor. I went there around 8pm. I was offered chips and Salsa. Chips were really good and salsa had a kick to it. Must the green chile. Being a fan of Huevos, I ordered Huevos Rancheros and was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best I had. WIll definitely revisit the place when I get a chance. Prices are very reasonable I should say. Over all a great authentic mexican restaurant. read more

Sadly I must report that the chili rellenos I ordered were full of seeds. The natural cluster at the stem were not removed making it difficult to eat. I show the waitress the plate and asked her to bring it to managements attention. Was a total flop of a stop! I'm rating two stars for the servers and service which was outstanding. Waters stayed full and chips were coming. The chips and salsa is nice. The salsa has a kick but is delicious! For the cons: They do not serve any alcohol. They also don't have sweet tea. They do have unsweetened. Food reviews: The taco salad was okay. Not much flavor at all. The enchiladas were tortillas stacked up like a casserole. The sauce was not a very good flavor and quite spicy (red). Fajitas were served after the other two people finished eating. Was very little meat and a lot of peppers and onions. Sopapilla was nice and warm. No sugar or cinnamon on it but they do serve with honey. Overall: It was a collective decision that we would not be back. read more

Passing through on our drive from California to Florida in which we had to bring our cat inside which mind you is in his carrier not making a fuss at all. They took our food orders and then told us they can't serve us because we have our pet with us. It's 107 degrees outside so we can't leave our pet in the car. Pretty rude and disgusting. We stopped in with the family on the way back from a short trip to Roswell. The food was amazing. Service was great. The place was clean. Their Chili Relleno and their Green Chili sauce was amazing! They even had chicken fingers and French fries for my youngest picky eater. My husband travels to Texas from Tombstone, AZ for work, and he said he will definitely add this to his list of good places to stop. Did I also mention their prices were outstanding? My combo had a taco, cheese enchilada, green chili with meat, chili rellano and a tamale, with a side of refried beans and rice for $9! So if you can never decide what you want to eat, go ahead and try the combos! It is well worth it! read more

Affordable, delicious, hospitable. This restaurant has fantastic Mexican food, you can taste the authenticity. Amazing jalapeño sour cream and pico de Gallo that is an absolute must. Stopped here based on Yelp reviews and very happy we did. Clean. Quick staff. Great Mexican food. I ordered the Chicken Sopapilla with green sauce and they were stuffed with moist white meat. My husband ordered the Carne Asada Burrito. Both dishes were excellent. We also bought guacamole and pico de gallo. Great fresh add on. The food prices were about $7.50 per plate which included beans, rice and sopaipilla with honey for dessert. We loved every bite. This is a simple mom and pop place. The only bells and whistles they had....great Mexican food! We will come back again. No alcohol. read more

I wanted a small meal and asked the waitress for a suggestion for something with ground beef, cheese and a green sauce. She suggested a sopapilla stuffed with ground beef and covered with a green sauce and cheese. I took her suggestion. While I waited I got free chips with salsa. They chips were heavier than I like, but tasted good and the salsa had just the right kick to it. My dinner sopapilla was served on a hot plate and was absolutely delicious. I was surprised when the waitress brought me another sopapilla with honey for dessert, again, no charge. Total bill? $2.71. I was thrilled. read more

Si Senor has some pretty good Mexican food. In my opinion, this restaurant is second best to only that of Irma's which is right down the road from here. I love Si Senor's chips and variety of dips they offer. My favorite dish to eat here would have to be their beef gordita plate. read more

The good - Chips and salsa were great! The salsa was chunky, spicy, and delicious! We tried the chicken fajitas and chicken flautas. The fajitas were probably the best we have ever had. Good portion size and juicy! Likely so juicy because they appeared to use dark meat chicken, which is our favorite, and delicious. The flautas were plain and not very flavorful. However, the guacamole served with it was perfect; smooth and tasty. I mixed the guac with the rice and it was a good fit. The bad - Service was lacking. The servers seemed to hang out near the kitchen and did not refill our drinks until prompted. There is no alcohol. NO margaritas, NO beer, NO sangria. The place lacks the usual Mexican place ambiance. It looked more like a diner on the inside or a country kitchen style restaurant. read more

I stopped by Si Senor in Deming, NM yesterday on my way back to Albuquerque from Lordsberg, NM. I was (incorrectly) under the assumption it was affiliated with Si Senor in Las Cruces since they are not that far apart. This place didn't compare and I was slightly disappointed. That said, the salsa was good the chips were fair (not as good as Si Senor in Las Cruces). My enchilada was good but not great and the order was taken and accurately delivered. (I am picky about too much cheese, egg over easy and onions on the side) so I did appreciate that part. I ordered a coke and a half liter (medio litro) bottle of coca cola (hecho en Mexico) was served, so no refills. Would I go back if I was in Deming? Maybe but I would try a couple of other places first. read more

I was driving through Deming when it was lunchtime and I opted for something local over fast food. This restaurant came up number one in the search and I can understand why it was ranked as so. I ordered my standard Chili Relleno and it was delicious. But that's not where the real magic was, it was in the extras. After the meal was a hot fresh pastry served with honey, and while it was not sweet, it tasted like something served in a French patisserie. In addition, the salsa served with the chips was delicious and there was a second, heavenly spicy cream dip that I may never forget. Every year, when I drive to Tucson, I will be stopping here, you should too. read more

This meal was one of the best we've had while on vacation. the place is clean, with tiled floors and walls. the help is very friendly and helpful. I ordered a chile relleno with green chili and a chicken enchilada smothered with red chile a la carte. they were both delicious ; I normally do not enjoy shredded chicken at Mexican food restaurants because it is not fresh, but this was amazing. my husband had a combo with a taco , enchiladas , chile relleno, and a tamale . they were All great! even the tamale, which is not a favorite of ours , was filled with lean Shredded meat. sopapillas came with the meal, and the honey was very tasty. this was an amazing meal, and the price was phenomenal. our meal was $15 with one soda. very enjoyable! read more

I've been coming here for nearly 30 years and each time the food was GREAT!! The service is wonderful and the place is sparkling clean. The best part is the food. There is not one menu item that won't rate 5 stars. We moved away from southern New Mexico many years ago but every time we return I plan our trip so we can have a meal at Si Senor. We were happy with our food!! Lots of tasty food at a good price!! They included chips and lots of salsa (picky about salsa and it was good!!) AND sopapias too! They were very good, not at all greasy like every other we have had!! AND they included some really unique spicy sour cream topping that was crazy good! Stopped in to have a quick bite to eat while driving to Tucson and I'm so glad we did! Great food, friendly service, and food came out quickly. Everything seemed to be homemade and fresh. Food was tasty and the service was excellent. Pries are very low. They do not serve alcohol, so it's iced tea or sodas. The floor and walls are paneled in 18" Mexican tiles. The effect is very pretty, and unusual. Highly recommended, if you don't mind Mexican food with no beer! read more

Very good and satisfied. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! Serious! Our waiters was wonderful. I ordered iced tea, yum, and I was so thirsty the glass was empty when she came back to take our order and she left the pitcher on the table. Great service, friendly and food came to us in a timely manner. I had the #1 combo ($9), it seemed to have a bit of every thing. My husband had the #2 combo ($8). We were both satisfied with our meals and I had to share some of mine. The chips and salsa, awesome. The kicker at the end of the meal, a fresh hot sopapilla and honey for each of us. Great place. The restaurant and restrooms were clean, a great plus. The only disappointment, my husband asked for a meat change in his taco, from ground beef to shredded beef and to add meat to the cheese enchilada and charged us $1 extra for each item. That's ok but we were NOT told of the price change, so instead of an $8 meal it was $10, the price for that meal was still good. If we were just told about the change, otherwise everything was great. Si Senior possible could of had 5 stars. I don't generously pass out the # of stars. By the way, the tea pitcher was empty at the end of our meal. read more
