The tom kha gai is spot on with its creamy coconut base and slightly sweet, slightly tangy, lime and lemongrass flavor. This is exactly how I expect my soup to taste with the chicken and mushroom. The kra pow had good flavor and I liked it but it's not the classic ground chicken with a fried egg on top. It was made with slices of white meat chicken, bell peppers and onions. Still tasty enough to eat without any extra sauces. Service is super friendly. There is limited seating but we didn't have to wait for a party of two. I found Siam Cafe for Thai food with a friend, and I have to admit this easily ranks at the bottom of my Thai food adventures. This is beyond parking being difficult to maneuver around in this small lot. To start off, we had their Dynamite Chicken Wings as appetizers. The chicken was a good texture. The sauce itself was fairly heavy, lightly spicy, though super sweet. The taste was unique, though not enjoyable. We also had their Yellow Curry with Beef and Pad Thai Beef - both their "All Day Specials." Both came with deep fried egg rolls that had a warm exterior but an ice cold interior. We notified our server, and they were quickly replaced. The beef for the yellow curry was a tad on the colder side; the meat was pink. The curry itself was super watery, and it was very sweet. The rice for both dishes was okay. The pad thai was unfortunately left uneaten, as the taste was a bit off and was very sweet, too. I came an hour before closing and was informed that they were only doing takeout orders, but did not feel unwelcome at all by the staff. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, mango sticky rice, and a Thai iced tea to wash down. Everything was incredibly flavorful, the fried rice was presented very nice even in the to-go box, and the tea was just the right amount of sweet with no aftertaste. I had low expectations based on the exterior but WOW the food was good. they have "every day specials" which equates to other places lunch specials for 12 dollars that are available every day (and I think all day). Got super hungry late at night and started searching for places that were still open. All I found were fast food spots, but then I came across this place and decided to give it a try. They followed my notes in regards to my food preference and I enjoyed it so much! You can actually taste the real orange flavor in their orange chicken, which is very tasty and crispy! If you can't handle your heat definitely order mild. This was an authentic spicy level. The portion was very generous. It easily could have fed 2 people. The egg rolls came with 6 rolls. Pretty normal, slightly gooey in the middle. The dipping sauce was tasty. The beef and broccoli came with a nice amount of broccoli. The meat was very good quality and cooked perfectly.
