The food was so good, I got the pad Thai lunch special with tofu and a Thai tea with boba. The lunch special is a good size, both my friend and I left full. The noodles were really soft and chewy which I loved. Their Thai tea is always really good as well, it's the right amount of sweetness for me. We were greeted by a super friendly hostess. Throughout our time there, both the hostess and a man behind the counter, kept coming up to us to see if we needed anything else. Staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. Moderate sized dining area and relatively quiet other than some intentional music playing in the background. Ordered the cashew nut chicken lunch special. One of the most tasty and generous portions I've had at any Thai restaurants. The side salad was fresh and refreshing, eggroll was fresh made and the cashew nut chicken itself was delicious. Ok so idk why they decided to circle my name, perhaps they noticed I reviewed them here, and then they circle an option on the receipt I wasn't allowed to modify in the first place... with other orders they'll do the curtesy to include utensils and fill the curry to the near top, I understand they don't want it to spill but this is how it is compared to an 14oz glass up because they gave me some last time I ordered, look guys ima still order food but don't make it seem like I choose this. The taste was fine, nothing amazing but satisfying enough for a lunch option. However, the color of the curry looked unusually bright and a bit artificial, which made it less appetizing visually. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were reasonable for a lunch special. The restaurant itself was clean but didn't have much ambiance. Overall, 3 stars. This Thai food joint was Tasty like the name! I was in the area and found it on yelp and yes, the highly rated reviews tell the truth. I tried Spicy Basil with chicken lunch special for $13 and it was a really good value, with food portions being generous and everything being very fresh and yummy. Over a bed of rice, the chicken was bathed in spices and herbs. A lot of flavor in every bite. The chicken was accompanied by a side salad with light dressing and by a freshly prepared veggie egg roll with a dipping sauce. Because I added additional spices, I needed something cold and fresh to chase it down with and their thai iced tea was the ultimate choice. Perfectly made tea, fresh, delicious with all the right proportions. Definitely hit the spot. The place itself is comfy and clean, with quite a few tables and the customer service was excellent. Oh my God I just read was someone had a roach problem? I had the same issue and the manager aren't believing it was the manager came from behind the counter yelling and screaming telling him I brought the roach in there. This place is horrible. I've ate that before the food was delicious but now that I seen the roach, it disgust me. at first, I was gonna let it go. I'm thinking OK one roach but I know this more than one because someone else had the same issue and I killed mine lol so they're probably in the kitchen cause you don't see a whole bunch of them I haven't seen any, but the one on my plate. That's a shame. I really love the food there. Wow, what a hidden gem here in The Valley. I really love Thai food and this place hit the spot. It is located in a crowded little strip mall and looks rather plain from the outside. Don't let that fool you, inside is some Thai deliciousness. The service is top notch and friendly, the food comes out super-fast, and it is delicious with a capitol D. I started with the Tom Yum soup that had less of a lemongrass flavor than I am used to. That being said, it worked for this soup, and I really liked it. For my meal I tried one of the reasonably prices lunch specials. The lunch special comes with an eggroll, that was really good, a very simple small salad with a sesame dressing, that was pretty good too, and a main course. I chose the Pad Thai with chicken. Usually, when the server reads off a list of proteins that go with your dish of choice, they will mention if any protein is extra. In this case, after listening to all the available proteins. I had asked if the shrimp was extra, which it was, so I went with an alternate option, beef. I only found out after receiving the receipt that the beef was extra as well. On top of that,. the beef was tough and dry. SPICY BASIL ($11.95): Fraught will bell peppers, onions, pork and Thai basil, this fragrant stir fry was quite tasty and paired well with fluffy rice. While nothing spectacular in flavor, it was a dish that I was craving. I would order this again. This serves one and comes with a small bowl of rice ( a bit too small in my opinion). I order it with brown rice which is included in the price unlike other Thai restaurants that charge extra for rice. We order from here a lot and it's still very hot by the time we get home to eat it. What a disappointment. I placed an ordered through Uber eats for a seafood soup, yellow curry and Thai tea. The yellow curry is super sweet the only plus is that the dish comes with white rice- no need to order on the side. The seafood soup, leaves you with a question of where is the seafood? It's just broth with 1 shrimp and a little piece of imitation crab, for $20 it was definitely a disappointment. Thai tea has a good taste (only reason of a 2 star rating) but for $6 you'd think it was a bigger cup size. Overall, I do not recommend this place.
