Best Thai food I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and order the whole fish with spicy sweet chili sauce. Wow!! Everything on the menu is delicious though. Great service as well.

Had an Uber Eats coupon and decided to try Siam Orchids for the first time for takeout. I've lived in Branford and pass by this place a few times a week. I ordered the Hot Basil with beef and an appetizer of Mai Thai. Both items were fresh and hot when I received them. My order was prepared quickly and ready almost right away. Both items tasted good. However I was expecting the Hot Basil to be a bit more spicy than it was but I believe there was an option when ordering to make it more spicy. It was still good it was just a little more bland than I was expecting. Looking forward to checking out more of their menu in the future.

Today for my friend's birthday we ordered in it was my first time trying this spot and it okay by the time we got it home it was lukewarm. I had a Thai Salad and my main meal since I was trying this place out I went for the Mango Fried Rice comes with Shrimp and chicken. The entire dinner had one shrimp you can see it for yourself bland in color chicken as well. They gave more chicken and bok choy than mango and shrimp. Three stars for this visit

I don't remember why I said I'd never go back here again. Thankfully my mom still lives in Branford and she loves going here. Based on this experience, I will give it a 5 stars. The steamed dumpling is great. It tastes fresh. I also had the first salad on the menu. It has tofu and egg and the peanut sauce is great. Mom had pad Thai and fried rice which she said was good. The vegetable soup is also great. I would come back again to try other dishes. Service was good. We came on Saturday around 2pm and we were the only ones there.

The place had a really nice and chill vibe, really nice decor and a great spot for a somewhat nice lunch. They were serving their lunch menu and I ended up getting the mussels pad Thai, and a chicken curry puff appetizer and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was solid, and the chicken curry puffs were very good. But the stand out was the pad Thai. I've never had a creamy pad Thai and this was amazing. So flavorful. I didn't know what to expect with the mussels but I loved the mussels in the shell and it added a great flavor to the dish! I will definitely be coming back again to order this, and try some of their other items!

Disappointing. 2/10 Thai Iced Tea: extremely sweet and too much cream. 2/10 Crab Fried Rice: a dish they are known for. They don't skimp on the crab or egg. The rice is made with butterfly pea tea to color it blue. That was fun. It was a wok-y flavor and overall solid. Something that was concerning, was that the cilantro lime sauce helped the fried rice A TON. and I think that if you can't eat something without a sauce then it's kinda a sign that it's not the best... for $28, I would not get it again. This was the only dish we ate. 7/10 Tom Yum Shrimp: the entree size had peanuts but the appetizer didn't. Weird. This was by far, the WORST tom yum i have ever tasted in my life. It was sweet. No sour from the tamarind. No tomato flavor. No lime. Only sweet. What in the world????? 0/10 Drunk Man Noodles: no flavor except spicy. Missing MSG, wok flavor, soy sauce, sugar, literally anything. Still edible but we barely touched it. 2/10

Best Thai food in Wallingford hands down…read more The pad Thai is the best I've had. It's hard not to order it every time. But everything on the menu is delicious so ya gotta branch out. The location in in between two pizza places on the North Haven side of Rt 5 in Wallingford. It's our go-to take out place. Recently we dined in and it was even better. Their tom kha is so flavorful. The green curry beef noodle dish was huge and delicious with the right amount of spice. Unassuming simplicity inside with more take-away orders than diners, it seemed. But dining area was nice. I've dined here years ago and it was different. I imagine they changed owners or renovated in some way, because it's extra good.

Food- spring rolls are always good. However, I will say my go to is generally the pad Thai. Sometimes it is spot on and other times it almost tastes like there are different cooks, and it where it tastes like it came from a wok that is too hot/singed flavor and the right flavors just aren't there. I did notice they changed to more biodegrading to go products which is nice though! My family member got the Massaman Currt and reported it was not as good as usual, this time around it was very soupy with minimal spice. I've never eaten inside but this looks like a small hole in the wall spot from the outside , it is very quaint. Overall, return out of convenience when visiting the area from time to time but wish there were more consistency with when those dishes have been closer to their best!

Proving that it's the company as much as the location, a recent visit to Chiangmai Thai Restaurant…read morein Naugatuck was absolutely delightful given the lovely service from our waitress. One got the sense that the other diners that evening felt much the same way. It was a weeknight, and with a lower customer load than might be the case on a Friday or weekend, she had ample time to spend with each party, regaling us all with fun conversation. It goes without saying that the company in one's own party makes a whale of a difference, and in that regards I could not have asked for better. This is to take nothing away from the food, which was absolutely delicious, flavorful and mercifully not too spicy - our aging gastrointestinal systems are sadly just not up for the violent torment from a chilli assault like when we were younger, and felt invincible. The mango rice dessert - enough for two to split - was sublime. And the town of Naugy itself - for both of us an unknown quantity til that evening despite having whizzed past it a ton on Route 8, hammering down the famous Naugahyde River Valley - is intriguing. Naugatuck offers gorgeous and fascinating architecture from the last two centuries at least, evidence of thriving mill-driven industry in years past, very easy access from the highway, and lots of close on-street parking, at least on a Thursday evening. BYOB if you are that way inclined, as they don't have a liquor license. Will we be back to Chiangmai Thai? Abso-frikkin-lutely. I've you've already been, then go back again, and soon. If you haven't had the pleasure, get moving now and thank me later.
