Ordered Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice, and wonton soup. The soup had hard pieces that my wife had to spit out. The fried rice was missing 3 of the 5 ingredients and was dry. It was edible but was generic and bland. The pad Thai was possibly the worst I have ever had. Extremely dry and no flavor. It was a little spicy but that was it. It seemed like they forgot some/all of the sauce. We were extremely disappointed and will not be going back. Jasmine is just down the road and a huge upgrade over this. Had the chicken summer rolls and it lacks flavor. Too much lettuce. Chicken was bland. I ordered the pho and this is not authentic whatsoever. The broth tastes like it came straight from a packet. Siam, I think about you 3 out of 5 times I drive by on the way to my Chiropractor I see twice a week. I know you and I like you. I can't remember what I got last time unfortunately. Giving it another try! Monday night around 6:35pm, no one in the restaurant but after we placed our to-go order several tables filled up! So I'm not sure the spicy scale but I chose 3 and my husband chose 4! It was a little hotter than we both expected but still tasty! I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it wasn't super flavorful but it was still good! I think next time I would try something else. I also got an egg roll (it seemed on the expensive side $1.50), but I really liked it! My guy got Chicken Red Curry with white rice and he said he wears really happy with it and would get it again and he would give 4/5 stars! He's of the mind 5 is perfect - no room for improving. We spent $30.99 which seems expensive overall, especially without any sort of beverages. I've tried several different items at this restaurant (as I do most restaurants before I give a review, and I have to say the chef needs to lay off the salt. Most items that I've gotten here have been overly-salted. I've had their Shrimp Lad nah and papaya salad and both were very salty. Luckily, I'm Laos/Thai and can take the dishes home to fix the seasoning myself. Although I shouldn't have to. I've had spring rolls here and they only consisted of shrimp and lettuce. The pros though...everything you order comes in a very hefty portion. You get a lot of food for the price. Their pho is also pretty decent. I was very disappointed and wonder how this gets good ratings. It took a while just to get a menu as one person was doing everything. The Siam Summer Rolls were a joke. I paid for extra for the shrimp and they put two very small shrimp in a large roll of pretty much lettuce. The shrimp smelt really fishy too where it wasn't fresh. Very disappointed in their presentation and amount of old smelling shrimp. I had the chicken green curry. I have been to many Thai restaurants...and this green curry was by far the worst. The chicken was like flat canned chicken or something. Most Thai curry plates I have had usually has potatoes also in it. This plate was full of green peppers and very little of the good ingredients. Delicious, authentic, homemade Thai that's tucked away in the corner of one of the more upscale strip malls in Franklin (just outside of Nashville). My mom, sister and I popped in one afternoon just after the lunch rush but well before the bustle for dinner. We were greeted sweetly and promptly and almost immediately received tall, freshly brewed glasses of magnificently sweet tea. Sidenote: I have a thing about guzzling as much sweet tea as possible whenever I travel back home to the South. Outside of my own abode I've yet to sip any sweet tea in Northern environs that's hit the spot. Siam's sweet tea had those slight hints of spices and flavors that really flourish in a Thai iced tea. I was pleasantly delighted to taste the subtleties in more traditionally prepared Southern sweet tea. Anywho, we split some appetizers that came out piping fresh 'n hot--2 chicken wings, 2 egg rolls and 2 crab rangoons. I'm a recent dabbler into the crab rangoons field. These were delightful. Crisp with generous portions of crabmeat and fresh scallions, they also came sprinkled with powdered sugar. I've never experienced the sugar coating; it was delicious and a surprisingly fun little balance beam of flavor in my mouth. I ordered the Panang curry. You choose from a spice range of 1-5 with 5 being Native Hot. I chose a 3 level of spiciness which left me feeling like I was an enthusiastic but cautious visitor to the native lands--the heat was just right. Generous portions of thinly sliced chicken and vegetables and a tophat of rice--plus a couple of sweet tea refills!--and I was all set. My sister ordered a stir-fry--can't remember which. She considered herself quite the world dabbler and went with a 4 rating, and it must've been delicious because it disappeared shortly thereafter. My mom ordered the lemongrass chicken entree which was beautifully prepared and presented with the most delectable lemongrass peanut sauce. The aroma was heavenly and the portion was beyond generous. Our server was attentive throughout; gave great guidance when we were hemming and hawing over the menu. I love a quiet, unassuming looking restaurant when it's in the thick of busy people, places and things. Shortly after we were seated, quite a few small parties arrived, which is also a good sign of great food and wonderful, friendly service. We stopped in here on a rain Saturday afternoon. We were in a rush to get some grocery shopping done but wanted to sit for a little & get some lunch. I'd had this place bookmarked for a while. We usually eat at Jasmine down the street, but wanted to give this place a shot. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, at the end. Parking wasn't too bad considering all the different places in the area. We were greeted by our server & told to pick where we wanted to sit. They've got a bunch of tables with chairs and maybe 4-5 booth tables. Our server was a girl in her 20's. She was very friendly & helpful. The menu is broke down in to different categories, very easy to navigate. I'm a sucker for pad Thai & usually get it as the first thing to try at a new place. Therefore I ordered the chicken pad Thai, lunch portion for $7.95. WHAT A DEAL. Phillip was feeling under the weather & ordered the beef pho. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free egg roll (a $1.50 value). The pad Thai came with an egg roll, so I got two. Don't judge. The egg rolls are more narrow than the Americanized egg roll. The wrapping was fried to perfection and brittle when you bite into it. Loved the egg rolls. They also came with a couple of little cups & sweet and sour sauce that wasn't thick like the kind you'd find in the grocery store. Our food didn't take but maybe 10 minutes to get to the table. The portion of pad Thai was large for a lunch portion. At $7.95, you can't beat it. The portion of beef pho was large too for $8.95. The noodles in the pad this were cooked well. They weren't stuck together like some places & the sauce wasn't overpowering. I picked a 3 on the 1-5 heat scale & next time I think I'll go for a 4. They've got some sauces on the table if you'd like to add some heat. I tried the pho & it was yummy as well. I loved the food at Jasmine & I love the food here. I'm a newbie to the world of Phó...franklin/cool springs has limited options, and so far this is the best Phó in Franklin/Cool Springs! I ordered carry-out on a Saturday night. The order contained broth in a nice plastic container, and then in a typical carry out container was a ton of rice noodles, chicken, bean sprouts, Jalepeno slices, and basil...I mean this container was packed! It's two crispy shells with a generous amount sweetened cream cheese and 1-2 very small pieces of crab and then the shells are dusted with confectioners sugar. I was very hungry and very limited for time so I consumed them. Next I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. There were five large shrimps and I ate those but the pad Thai did not taste like the pad Thai I have had in the past. Do yourself a favor and order the curry here. I had the red curry and it was loaded with fresh vegetables and a perfect level of spice (you can let them know how spicy you want it.) I also got the chicken as the protein but I think there was also there were other options to choose from. The curry was particularly good and the only other curry I have had that was this good was at Thai Phooket. That is a major complement as I am a big curry fan. It was not too creamy or brothy and the spice level and flavor was perfect. My friend ordered the green curry and it was delicious too. It was very similar to the red but had a little bit of a sweeter taste so just a matter of personal preference. I only was able to try the two curries but they had a several other interesting options that I might try next time. The lunch portion comes with a small cup of soup. It was a little disappointing that it didn't come with one of the traditional Thai soups like the Tom Yum or Thom Kai. Instead it was a run of the mil chicken broth soup with peas and noodles. It also came with an egg roll (if you like their Facebook page or check in on yelp, you get a free egg roll.) My friend ordered the chicken wing appetizer which wasn't really their specialty - just basic wings. I'm not sure why he ordered that as I wouldn't expect chicken wings to be one of the better options at a Thai place. I really wished I had just saved room for the main entrée. It wasn't an issue though because I finished off the leftovers later that night! The vibe here is very mom and pop and I really liked how it was comfortable and the service was great - very nice and attentive! I wonder if they would let you bring a bottle of wine in so you could enjoy a date night here. It has the feel of a more cozy lunch spot but would be a fun date night as well if they let you bring something to drink with you. It didn't appear that they had a liquor license or sold beer. Standard Thai, very fast even during the peak lunch crowd. This review is based on my first and only visit so far. I came at 12:30 and it was very busy. The restaurant is pretty small so most tables were taken. The service was extremely fast and polite. The food arrived at my table in about 5 minutes!!! Very quick. I had the staples: Egg roll (free for checking in on Yelp) Small Tom Ka Shrimp (soup) Chicken Pad Thai Thai Tea All dishes were good, nothing to complain about. The portion sizes were more than adequate and very satisfying. The soup was the standard thin coconut broth with lots of white onion and a few green onions. The pad thai was exactly what you'd expect and very good. Thai tea came in a standard glass and was great. Overall, if I lived in the area, I would return after trying a few more places. I first arrived at the restaurant about a half an hour after they opened on a Sunday (they open around 12PM). Only a couple of other tables were seated at the time, so I was seated immediately and was able to get a drink quickly. By the time I left (around 1:15PM), every table was seated with decent-sized parties, so make sure to get there earlier if you want a spot! The menu was a bit overwhelming for lunch, as it was about 3-4 pages of dishes, but it's the ideal menu size for dinner. I ended up getting the lunch portion of Pad Thai because it's one of my go-to dishes, especially for a first time visiting a thai restaurant. The lunch portion came with an egg roll, and I was able to use the check-in option to get another free egg roll. The restaurant started filling up while I was waiting on my food. There is only one person who is working the front of the restaurant at the time. By that, I mean everything- sitting customers, getting orders, setting the tables, bussing the tables, delivering food, taking phone orders, and working the cash register. With one person doing all these jobs for multiple tables at once, I was surprised and pleased that she was still able to get my food out within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I was very impressed with the service! The egg rolls came out with my Pad Thai, which I thought was a bit odd because they were listed under "appetizers" and I expected them to come out first. Not only that, but the rolls themselves seemed much more like fried spring rolls than egg rolls. Something to recall if you go in expecting egg rolls! There was also a lack of any sort of dipping sauce, which was unusual since most thai restaurants provide that. I had ordered the Pad Thai at heat level 2 on a scale of 1-5. There ended up being a slight bit of heat in every bite- just what I was looking for! Both the Pad Thai and the egg rolls were still warm and very flavorful, and the portion was MUCH more than I could handle. I ended up taking home half of the noodles that I ate and was able to have a full meal for lunch the next day! Definitely not a complaint from me, but something for people who are passing through or are wary about being wasteful with food should be aware of. Overall, a very good experience. My mom and I decided to come here after an appointment disregarding the low recent ratings I saw on Yelp due to its convenient location. We definitely should not have came here. We walked in, sat ourselves, and one of the waiters brought us some menus. After awhile, moments longer than you should wait to be asked what drinks we wanted, we both glared at the waitress hinting we were ready to order both our drinks and lunch entree. She told us to give us a minute at the cash register. Then, she came to us to get our order. Not only was the first part of my experience unpleasant but waiting as long as we did to even get our drinks and now our food just escalated our unpleasant experience. The waitress brought our food out; we ordered pad Thai and red curry. Pad Thai was horrible. My mom picked it up with her chopsticks and basically the whole thing was stuck together in one piece. Noodles were extremely over cooked and the seasoning was just odd. She called over a different waitress (because our waitress from the moment we sat down had the nastiest attitude) letting her know we couldn't eat this and that we didn't want a replacement. The red curry just had no depth to its taste. It tasted like a bowl of red sugar and liquid. I've had amazing, authentic Thai food and this place was a complete turn off from the customer service to the taste of our food to our check. We got the pad Thai taken off our check (obviously) and we paid $13 Plus tip (that she did not deserve) on a bowl of sugar curry soup thing we had two bites of. Every other table was available for social distancing. The servers were wearing a mask and gloves. The menu was unique because the variety of protein to choose from. However, the food was bland. It needed black pepper and salt--any basics. It was a waste to even order a spice level. For a level three out of five, I am shocked how tasteless everything was! The chicken looked grey (because of the lack of spices, I am guessing), and the pineapple was mushy. Overcooked cashews...I guess it validates that we are lucky to have an authentic Thai restaurant near our home (we live in a farming community--township), because they blow these guys out of the water!
