Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Nice lunch menu options, great decor, clean and very friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the lunch portion Cashew Chicken while my friend ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were EXCELLENT and portions were generous. Staff was very quick to bring us drink refills and anything else we asked for. While this restaurant is easily 35 minutes from home, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip again (and often) for lunch or dinner. I'm putting Siam Thai Cuisine Restaurant in my shortlist for Thai! There is a new Thai restaurant in Plainfield!! We came by on our way home from vacation and were so pleased. I had pad seseewe and my husband had ginger stir fry. My noodles were velvety and the sauce was delicious. Marks had too many green peppers in it, just the way he likes it. ;-) We will definately be back soon to try their curry, and pad thai. read more

I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Siam Thai in Plainfield. I met a friend there for dinner last Thursday and it was amazing. The ambiance of the place is just so relaxing, it sits right on the edge of casual and upscale. My friend had orange chicken and you can tell that this sauce is made on site and served with fresh orange slices. We shared the crab rangoon and the filling was a little sweeter than some but very light and the wrapper was perfect. The sauce served with it was too sweet for me, my friend loved it and it also seemed house made. I had the Pad Thai and it was very good, I would like more vegetables and less noodles but overall it was amazing. I am really looking forward to going back and relaxing with a glass of wine and working my way through the delicious sounding appetizers. read more

We have eaten at Siam Thai several times since its opening and have been impressed every time with the quality of the food. Across a wide variety of dishes, we have noticed that the flavors are always fresh and vibrant, but not overpowering. The decor and vibe are similarly fresh and service has been very good. We ordered 5 dishes, 3 of which were vegetarian for delivery. The order arrived and only ONE was vegetarian. I was very disappointed and felt like a terrible host who did not consider my guests. This place is great, fresh food, nice environment and clean. Great, friendly service. However, green curry is very watery and it is not green at all. It looks like it was mix of yellow curry with some soup. It has a bamboo shoot smell. I was here a few months ago and had the same thing, but bummer, I forgot it was not to my liking and today I ordered it again. Need to remember to order something else when I come back. read more

We saw this place mentioned on Facebook and decided to give it a try even though it was about 30 minutes away. We both love Thai food and have eaten at most of the Thai restaurants on the west side and beyond. This place is very nicely decorated and very clean, and the service was very good given that the place was mostly empty. It has only been open a few weeks according to the owner who was very nice and visited our table to make sure everything was good. We visited at lunch time and they had several lunch offers for $11.99, a little higher than most of the other Thai restaurants around, but not a big deal. We chose the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Maw, both came with a small spring roll, but NO soup or salad. Almost every Thai restaurant we have visited has included a small cup of soup/broth and a small salad with an entree, but not here, which was disappointing. They did bring out some kind of white chips that were pretty much tasteless, which we did not even eat. I would much rather they would include the soup/salad instead. Both of our orders were very good and a decent portion, not overly large, just enough that we both finished our meals without takeouts. While we agreed that we could possibly visit here again, the fact that it is a bit of a drive and also that there was no soup or salad included, makes us inclined to visit the other places that we usually go to which offer the same good food and a better value. read more
