Stopped in here for lunch with a couple of my work friends earlier this week and immediately fell in love with all of the beautiful Valentine's Day decorations they still had up. From the ceiling, to the bar, to the plants, everything had a Valentine's Day theme and it was so fun. Our rice was even shaped into a heart! There is a big, shared parking lot behind the strip of businesses with plenty of parking and we walked in through the back. We were seated immediately by the hostess and had some tasty miso soup brought out along with waters. Two of us also ordered Prosecco and we could hear them opening the bottle up at the bar, so it was fresh and bubbly. They also allowed one of my friends to substitute silver noodles (her fave) into 3 of the different lunch special options for a slight up charge. I ordered the mussaman curry with chicken and it was perfect on such a cold afternoon. The only downside to our lunch was that I asked for medium-hot and didn't taste any spice. The silver noodle dish my friend ordered was really good, but a lot of food, so we ended up getting to-go boxes for the rest of our lunch and they were just as good for lunch the next day. Our other friend ordered the cashew nut and ate most of that, minus some rice, which she put in my to-go box for my lunch the next day. Thai District is a regular spot for me when I want to Thai one on. Very nice inside, always great and attentive service. It's a great spot for lunch with a friend or a dinner date. I've even taken my family on Christmas Eve before. Wide array of dishes on the menu. I went with my goto which is the Volcano Chicken. Tonight I opted for mild heat to take it easy on my stomach, and it was delicious. My dining partner opted for the same dish but seasoned "extra hot". He said he would choose "Thai Hot" next time because he really likes spicy food. A great spot in Brownsburg when you want some Thai food with a nice atmosphere. I was in the mood for curry but didn't want to cook so we decided to order from Thai District. Have driven past often but have never visited until today. The decoration inside the restaurant may seem a lot but it actually creates a nice, pleasant atmosphere and it's not too loud I side. Being late afternoon, they weren't too busy. Both curries were delicious. The beef in my green curry was still tender and the green beans weren't overcooked. We both got the mild and the only negative was my daughter found the chicken in her yellow curry to be a bit dry. Will probably dine in next time as I want to try more dishes on the menu. read more

This place has been a staple for me for years. Consistently good Thai food and quick and accurate service. My favorite is the Thai fried rice with shrimp and crab Rangoon. Pretty disappointed. Hours state they are open until 9 PM on a Sunday. We walked in at 8:15 PM and were told they are not serving because it "takes 20 minutes to cook and then you won't have time to eat". There were other customers that had been seated. I've never been turned away 45 minutes prior to their stated hours (on the door). We went across town to Thai Basil who was also open until 9 PM and were seated right away. Food was fast and just the same as Thai District. Unfortunately, we won't be back to Thai District. read more

To Managers and/or Owners Complete Disappointment! I want to express my deep disappointment with the service my party and I received during our recent visit on 12/02/25 to your restaurant. We arrived at 7:00 p.m., looking forward to enjoying a relaxed evening, but instead encountered one of the worst service experiences we have had at Thai District. From the moment we were seated, our server made it clear--without any courtesy or professionalism--that we were expected to hurry because the restaurant would be closing at 9:00 p.m. While I understand that restaurants have closing times and staff need to prepare, the way this message was delivered set an uncomfortable tone for the entire evening. It felt rushed, unwelcoming, and entirely out of place for a dining experience that should be warm and hospitable. Throughout the evening, the server appeared visibly annoyed, her attitude, expression, and overall demeanor conveyed irritation and disregard and lacked even basic patience--something particularly troubling as our party included two elderly women who require a bit more time and attentiveness. Her tone of voice was loud, overly sharp, and at times disrespectful, making the experience not only uncomfortable but also embarrassing for the older members of our group. We did not feel valued as customers! Around 8:15 pm we wanted to order a soup to go and she said "No, the kitchen is closed" At 8:45 pm she told us to hurry because they were closed. When we were leaving, we told her how she made us feel throughout the evening and told her we were going to contact management or owners, she just laughed ironically and said "Talk to them" - "Oh, I'm so scare" We chose Thai District because of its reputation for great food and quality service, but this experience fell far below those expectations. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the issue--whether through additional training or clearer service standards--to ensure future guests do not leave feeling rushed or unwelcome. read more

I had dinner at Thai District this evening. The food was good, but the service was mediocre at best. I always tip at least 20%, so I was surprised to see a gratuity already included on the bill--especially since there was no mention of it on the menu. I politely asked the server for clarification, not to dispute the charge, but simply to understand it. Unfortunately, another staff member responded rudely and even muttered a derogatory comment under her breath as I walked away. I found this completely unnecessary and disrespectful. My intention was not to cause a scene or ask for the gratuity to be removed, but to ask for transparency. As a paying customer, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect clear communication, especially regarding charges that aren't disclosed upfront. read more

So one of my guilty pleasures is very spicy food. Whenever we eat Thai I order the volcano chicken extra Thai hot and when they pour that spicy goodness on that hot plate it turns into a steam that is just below the level of tear gas. Inevitably the entire restaurant breaks out into coughing fits as I'm enjoying my ridiculously hot food. Service can be slow on a Friday or Saturday between 530-8 so I recommend a different time!!!! read more

My girlfriend and I checked this place out due to the good yelp reviews and were not disappointed! We walked in through the back and came to the front of the restaurant and were promptly seated. We got a great table on an elevated platform right next to the bar. Our waitress was nice and quickly got us drinks and took down our appetizers! We ordered 3 appetizers and loved them all!! The dumplings, spring rolls and crab ragoons! I have to say.. I don't normally like the ragoons at places but I loved these. The dumplings were full of flavor and the spring rolls were fresh and delicious. Our food came out and first impression, look wise, we were very impressed. Big portions. Great looking food. Fresh looking ingredients. We expected no less due to the quality and flavor of the appetizers. My garlic beef was fantastic. Very well cooked and in an awesome sauce! Was highly recommended by the waitress and I was not disappointed. My girlfriend got the orange chicken and we thought it was really good.. just maybe more breading than chicken in some bites. I feel terrible that I never got around to writing an updated review for one of our favourite restaurants in Indiana. Thai District has been our go-to place since they opened. During the lockdown, they remained open and provided us with safe food options. They have watched our sons grow up, and our boys feel like family when we visit. Whether it's a busy or slow night, we always feel welcomed and cared for. We love the decor and the music they play. First impressions of this restaurant were that it's gorgeous and the food delivered on flavor! We started with the Thai District Platter which is a lot of food. It was a tasty adventure figuring out what everything was. I judge most places by their springs rolls and the Thai Spring Rolls left me wanting more. For an entree I went with my favorite Crab Fried Rice and it was the best I've had in a long time!! Not fishy at all and very balanced on the veggies. Thai District will always be our most favorite Thai restaurant in all of Indianapolis! We found this gem when living at the apartment complex across the street and, since then, has been the place we dined at the most since moving here. the other night, we even drove from Carmel to have dinner here. The restaurant is smaller, but the decor is beautiful. Because the restaurant is on the smaller side, there are only 1-2 people working the front of the house at a time. It might take awhile to be greeted but the wait is worth it!! The menu is very extensive and there is something for everyone. I ordered the sweet and sour with chicken and portions are huge! There is no parking in front however there is a large parking lot in the back but it does make it a bit awkward because you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the front to be seated. There is plenty of seating in the front and back and decor was beautiful throughout the restaurant. I went with a friend around 2pm on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. I ordered the Sweet Thai Ice Tea which was so sweet I couldn't drink it.....I also ordered the Eggplant Thailand and that was really flavorful and delicious. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's a little dark and swank in the late evening hours. It's a great place to have a date night. I enjoyed the Tom Yum soup for a starter. Finish it off with the crab fried rice. This is such a delightful choice. And, not one you can often get at other Thai places. I like to get jasmine tea to sit and sip and catch up with a dear friend. The only downside to this location is the service can sometimes be a little slow. Minus negative one star if I could. Our family has ordered many times from the Thai District. Especially around the holidays, but other times of the year as well. Our last experience was horrible. We placed the order as usual on the phone. However, when we got the order it was truly not edible. One son did eat part of an order. Other than tasting, nothing else was touched. I called and let them know at the behest of my family. We all thought we should get at least a partial refund. I called and had difficulty communicating. Truly, I am not sure exactly what they said. And then they hung up. I thought they would. When I called to confirm and make arrangements for partial refund they would not pick up. I never ask for this kind of compensation. However, I had to cook something and the meals purchased were not cheap. In the past, meals have been good. I do not know what happened, but I feel I should have been compensated for something not edible. The customer service was lacking completely. They should have least picked up the phone. I was neither belligerent nor crabby when I phoned. They obviously do not want to refund my money. I reached out again before leaving this review. Again, they did not pick up. I frequent here often. Not sure what was going on, but my food was nasty. I tried my best to wat it but there was no way. I spent my last $13 on some nasty food that I decided to give to the dog.
