This Thai place is not fancy, very casual, that its decor says it old and having older furniture. On weekdays, they have lunch specials which come with a mini appetizer. My mango salad was smaller than anticipated, but it still tasted fresh. My friend's hot and sour soup looked good, but again, the portions don't have to be bite size. My green curry veggies with tofu came out warm. I wanted hot in temperature, especially when we are their only customers. The rice was place on the plate, which I would have liked it separately. The rice will get mushy. There were lots of variety of veggies, but again, give me more tofu. At least the taste was decent. My friends frequent this restaurant during dinner time so it was their first time eating a lunch special. They were both satisfied. Extremely disappointed with this place, especially given how misleading the menu descriptions and prices are vs the product provided. We got the tofu pad Thai and tofu pad see ew and mango sticky rice for takeout. They heavily skimped out on adding veggies and tofu in both dishes. $18 for pad Thai and there were a total of 3 pieces of tofu, no bean sprouts. Same with the pad see ew, only 3/4 pieces of tofu in the giant container. The containers look deceiving as all the toppings are placed at the top and below them is a whole lot of only plain noodles. The mango sticky rice was alright. Don't waste your money, I will not be revisiting and will not be recommending. read more

This was our second visit. The first one was before COVID-19 shutdown. The food was good, but most likely the cook has changed. We selected the same items, but noticed the difference in taste. We ordered for pickup this time. I was able to see the interior which although off limits is lovely. We got 15% cash discount which is perfect for tipping the restaurant as a COVID times boost since you're not paying Uber Price For Uber Delivery. The food was all fresh, beautifully seasoned, well packed. The pho was only one size option and the beef pieces weren't top notch but the broth was flavourful and authentic, not MSG salty. Siamese Thai Cuisine tries to be a high-end restaurant, however, some of their business decisions make me wonder if it's a facade. Firstly, their pad thai is excellent. One of my favourites, actually. Their thai iced tea is also excellent, though I'd prefer it to be a touch less sweet. Prices here appear to be higher than the average Thai resto. I was puzzled to see their spring rolls (with no meat) priced at $7.95. That's quite a lot for skins stuffed with bean sprouts and vermicelli. The kicker for me is that, on top of my order, I requested for a cup of hot water. Our bill showed they charged us 50 Cents... for 200mL of heated tap water. Now, I know 50 cents isn't a lot of money (unless you're Russell Peters), but this is a highly questionable practice and speaks volumes of their owner. I may come back if i'm in the area and craving for Thai food, but otherwise, I i wouldn't go out of my way for them. read more

First time in Toronto and I absolutely had to visit this cute, local Thai restaurant!!! It has a very open floor plan and I love the long booth along the wall. We just got off a long flight and the kids were eager to try the pad Thai here and they were so full after eating 3 orders!!! I tried the mango chicken and it has the perfect mix of sweetness!!! The egg rolls were delicious and crispy coming fresh from the fryer. Definitely must try! We used to be regulars at Truly Thai located in front of Vaughan Mills but sadly this restaurant closed down. Siamese Thai is a great substitute. My husband and I recently enjoyed dinner there, and he went back for lunch with a work associate. Ambiance is very simple with tables and booths. After three hours on the highway, this is the perfect pit stop! Lunch specials $10 for a (presumably smaller) portion and choice of spring rolls/soup/mango salad. Plenty of main options, and curry can be made vegetarian (no fish sauce) on request. Not stupidly spicy, but enough to open your sinuses. This place is a solid 3/5 and maybe 4/5 for some people. The food is tasty and the portions are reasonable. I ordered stir fry beef and the girl serving us was very friendly and helpful. They offer curries, stir-fry, soups and noodle dishes. You won't be constrained by the choice. They even offer an omelet on top of your Pad Thai which is not on the menu, but something I usually like to order at Thai restaurants. If I'm craving Thai food and happen to be Vaughan, I'd probably come back to this place. The only thing I absolutely HATED was the loud music appropriate for a nightclub, but not a restaurant. They'd benefit from playing either traditional Thai music or ethnic Lounge music like they do at Buddha Bar chain of restaurants in Paris, NYC, Dubai and others. read more

Great Thai food on the Woodbridge area! The mango in the mango salad and sticky rice was perfectly ripe and sweet. The spring rolls are hand rolled in house. The pineapple fried rice had great flavour and the green curry was the perfect amount of spicy and flavourful. If you like bubble tea I would recommend the Thai iced tea which has a similar sweet flavour. Definitely a great place whether you eat in or take out! read more

I only wish I could give 0 stars. On July 23rd, 2018, I ordered a number of items from here. When I received them, I found two huge problems, but worst of all, a FLY IN THEIR FOOD! I will begin with the relatively smaller problem: one of the dishes was not cooked per the order notes/instructions via Uber Eats - I have ordered this dish with the exact same notes previously, and it was made exactly to order. When I tried explaining this to the manager, NILESH, he began talking over me loudly and insistently blaming me - that *I* wrote the order notes/instructions wrong, and how *I* should improve how I order next time. This was not my first time experiencing horrible customer service from this rude manager, which I will mention more about at the end of this review. I informed him that I have worked in the hospitality industry, and modifiers are printed on separate lines, so there should not be any confusion. Instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, he instead thought it makes sense to shift the blame on the customer and tell me how to order a meal. Horrible customer service! He would not let me speak! By the way, this is AFTER I mentioned that there was a FLY IN THEIR FOOD! After mentioning that, he asked which dish did I find the FLY in - THAT was his priority - not an immediate apology, not shock or surprise, but WHICH dish. And AFTER I informed him about the FLY, he went BACK to talking about how I ordered the dish wrong like that was the biggest problem. I was dumbfounded. He continued to be RUDE and CONDESCENDING. My partner was listening on speaker phone, and decided to chime in. Instead of hearing her out, he told her to stay out of it and to give the phone back to me. What a chauvinist and sexist comment! We were both shocked that he said something so out of line. He now began YELLING over her! This is when I had enough, and told him how he is not listening and being incredibly RUDE. I couldn't believe he would go so far! WE should be the ones who are ANGRY, not him! For finding a FLY in THEIR food, THAT WE PAID FOR! How did this conversation end? HE HUNG UP. What a rude, sexist, chauvinistic and egotistical person! Unhygienic food. Awful customer service. Following this incident, I was not surprised to look up and find that they have previously health food and safety inspection infractions (http://www.york.ca/wps/portal/yorkhome/health/YorkSafe/yorksafeinspectionreports). In previous encounters with this manager, he wanted us to pay $2 for extra homemade hot sauce after ordering $150 of food with 10+ dishes! Really!? For customers who have supported you in your business so many times, THIS is how you treat their loyalty!?!? For ordering 10+ dishes, he gave 4 tiny servings - smaller than the ketchup cups in McDonalds. I didn't understand this - when I sat and ate in the restaurant, we were never told that we had to pay extra for homemade hot sauce. To THIS he stated that only when you eat in the restaurant is it unlimited. What? How or why does that make any sense? Then he continued to explain how it costs more money to make. To which, I was dumbfounded again - so why doesn't it cost anything when you eat in the restaurant - oh, because they must be offsetting that cost from tips. Of course. What else to expect from this manager, except that he is also CHEAP. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, AND RECOMMEND THAT YOU, OR NO ONE YOU CARE ABOUT, VISIT THIS PLACE. I will, however, share my most horrible restaurant experience EVER with everyone I meet!!! My family is still SICK from the food. read more

This place is a decent option for lunch. Lunch specials tend to fall around $10-$11 per person, and includes a side, either a salad or spring roll. The restaurant is clean and inviting, it's usually not busy when we go during the week at lunch time so we've never had to wait for a table. It is a bit hidden in a plaza next to Pie, the pizza restaurant. The plaza has lots of free parking out front. The food isn't bad, certainly not the best i've ever had. I have tried the pad-thai, green curry, spring rolls and mango salad and I find everything to be on the sweet side. The pad thai sauce is really very sweet, I generally need some hot sauce to tone it down a bit, and the dipping sauces and salad dresses I also find to be almost too sweet. I had the mango salad for lunch which is around $10 and when she put it on the table in front of me, I thought it was for one of my colleagues who had a side portion of the salad with her lunch, it's definitely not worth $10, it's pretty much just a sliced mango, shredded carrot, a few small pieces of red pepper, onion and around 4 cashews on a plate. The dressing again was really sweet which added no contrast to the sweet mango. The portion sizes are OK for lunch, not ideal for a big eater however. There are other Thai restaurants in the area with similar menus but larger portion and a bit less expensive. The service is always nice and everything always comes out quickly and without any errors. Otherwise, not my favourite thai restaurant in the area, mind you I've only had a few of the lunch dishes, maybe it's better for dinner! read more

Purchased 2 soups, takeout. Very very flavourful, both delicious (coconut and Tom yum). The takeout portions were on the smaller size. The soups are appetizer size really, and therefore don't come with noodles or rice. I should have ordered meal size soup, on my part. Was craving for some thai food for lunch the other day and got some take out from them. I ordered the Panang Chicken Curry and the Mango with Sweet Thai Sticky Rice. I am a fan of panang curry, I really like the creamy texture and the nutty peanut flavour. However, the Panang curry from this place is really different. The taste of it was more blend, and the curry was watery, not thick at all. It's almost like a soup, where you can drink it but you wouldn't be plunge with multiple of flavours. The Mango with Sweet Thai Sticky Rice was pretty good. The Mango was very sweet, the only downside was that the rice is on the hard side. If they can make the rice a little bit softer, this dessert would have been perfect. read more

It was a bit of a trek to get here for me but I'm glad I made peace with my curiosity and gave it a try. Was quite disappointed upon arrival as I didn't understand why the service was so slow when the restaurant was practically empty. Anyway, aside from the fact, I heard good things from my friend about this place so it has always been on my "must try" list. Came with a few friends so we ordered quite a bit. We had 1) iced Thai coffee- it was disgusting! Don't get it if you don't like drinks overly sweet. I actually wanted to try thai iced tea but they were sold out. Like how on earth are you sold out of Thai iced tea at 6pm when its not even busy in the restaurant? Disappointing. 2) mango salad- it was fresh and enjoyable. 3) squash fritter- this one was interesting as it was in chunks but at other places that I had, it was in long strands..but overall, flavour was good. The sauce that came with definitely helped. 4) green curry with chicken- I personally ordered this dish and flavour was good, it was the perfect amount of spice. I wished they were more generous with their chicken though and the sauce was a bit too runny; consistency can be a bit more thicker. 4) mango sticky rice- this was my favourite dish of the night! It was fresh and delicious. The mango was sweet with a bit of sourness to it and with the sweet sticky rice was the perfect balanced combo of bomb! I would definitely come back just for this. Moreover, the dishes that my friends ordered, they all thought it was pretty decent in terms of flavour wise. Price was reasonable, atmosphere was ok (enjoyed the quietness), and presentation was ok. This has become our go to Thai spot in Vaughan. The quality is evident and they are good at handling my husbands peanut allergy and keeping peanuts away from our dishes. They also just opened a patio in the front so it's great for the summer & the first place we have eaten a meal on a patio in Vaughan since covid. Uber Eats wouldn't take the order so I called in. The fellow took my order, and told me it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I drove over and arrived at 20 minute mark. The fellow said it would be a few more minutes. I said ok, and sat down. 20 minutes later I asked what was up with my order. They said it would be a couple of minutes more. I waited over ten minutes more and they finally came out with my food. When I got back to the office, one of the food items was wrong, and the portion sizes were small. He apologized, but no discount or extra dish was offered to compensate the extended wait. And then to get the order wrong. Sigh. The only thing that saved the experience is that the food tasted good. Arguably, I have found the best Thai cuisine on this side of the GTA! In an area more known for Italian, Siamese Thai Cuisine dares to make itself unique in the Vaughan/Woodbridge power centre of Highway 400 and Highway 7. Finding myself here after a client meeting, I was greeted by today's host and waiter with a friendly smile who promptly offered me a drink when I sat down. The decor, simple lines, with dark wooded accents. The windows huge, bright and inviting, could have used curtains to set the mood a bit. After a quick perusal of the menu, I decided to have the Thai iced tea with an order of the beef pad Thai for lunch. The waiter quickly returned within minutes with my drink order and the accompaniment mango salad that I chose. The mango salad was marvellous, topped with an in-house vinaigrette, some sweet onions, red peppers. The mangoes themselves were not overly ripen but just right, sweet and sugary to taste, like biting into al dente pasta. I love mangoes so I had to slow it down as I eagerly save my palette for the main course. When the pad Thai came a couple of minutes later, I quickly dived into the delicious hot plate of noodles set before me. There was more beef than I expected, which is always a good sign. A lime wedge was set as the garnish as well. The noodles itself were cooked perfectly and seasoned to taste. It definitely is one of the better pad Thai I have had in awhile. It wasn't overly greasy like some others, and definitely was not drowning in sauce. The kitchen was on point with this plate of Pad Thai that I will definitely recommend others to try. I loved that the dish was steaming hot, straight out of the kitchen made to order. I savored every bite of the sweet and sour noodles, leaving barely any bits and pieces when all was said and done. I saved some space for desserts and also tried their deep friend banana fritters, drizzled with a light honey sauce topped with sesame seed. Ice cream is available with it but I opted out as I like my fried bananas with out. Fragrant with vanilla, the dough hot and fresh made to order. The dough covering the banana pieces were thin and not overly filling, just the way it should be for maximum enjoyment. I ate 2 pieces while saving the 3rd for an afternoon snack. I learned that they are currently under new management and that they have plans to renovate bringing the restaurant into modern times. I look forward to it and have planned my return in the near future to try the other dishes on the menu! I rated it a two, because the service was better than the food. I was expecting a lot from the food, considering the reviews I read, and the prices. They are pricier than my usual Thai place, and I expected something reasonably good. The fresh rolls are served like sushi rolls, cut into pieces. I suppose this is to mask the fact that they charge $8 for fresh rolls, and they are equivalent to less than two rolls at my regular place, which charges $3.50. The fresh rolls had a lot of carrot, which I thought was unusual for the price. Many of the usual vegetables found in fresh rolls were missing. My wife ordered the basil chicken, and I ordered ginger chicken. My meal was hugely salty, due to what seemed like heavy use of soy sauce, instead of a more sophisticated cooking. My wife had to send her dish back to the kitchen, because it was so spicy. They "fixed" it, and it tasted more Asian afterwards, kind of lice licorice, I guess. Not sure how that is "basil" though. I suffered through my dish, although in retrospect I should have sent it back as well. The waitress was very nice about it, and we were happy with her service. Restaurant management did not apologize, or say anything when they brought the bill. I went to the back to pay, and there were a few people standing around, they just took my payment, and didn't say anything or even ask again how the food was. I had several dishes here for dinner which included the mango salad, spring rolls, fried rice, pad thai, green curry beef and sticky rice dishes. All were quite good. The mango salad included some carrots, peppers, cashews and other additions which made it a lot more delicious than I would have expected. The fried rice wasn't too oily and had a lot of flavor as well. Even though I'm not a big pad thai fan, this particular one was delicious and filling. The green curry beef also had the right amount of seasoning and flavor as well. The white sticky rice was also sweet but not too sweet while the brown sticky rice was ok.
