I ordered the Thai tofu which was spicy, but spot on with texture, sauce to tofu ratio, and the perfect crunch to the vegetables! the garlic egg fried rice was pretty average, but did not disappoint. The tradtional egg rolls were packed with flavor, but were very small in size, stuffing them with more cabbage is a definate suggestion. overall wonderful delivery experience being that it was delivered to my exact hotel room within 15minutes fresh and hot. One of the main reasons my wife and I were willing to relocate from Greenville, SC to Normal, IL. Szechuan is crack, and I've only been able to eat it on business trips to California. I would give them a zero star if I could. I couldn't find the entrance to the front of the restaurant so I knocked on their back door and I am glad I did that. Their back door was open and they had uncovered baskets full of food items lying in the hallway, which shows their horrible storage conditions. One of the basket was tilted and food was on the floor. However, there was way too much sauce (hunan beef dish and stir fried veggies dish) - and it was a heavy thick sauce that overwhelmed the flavor of the meat and veggies. Shredded pork with sweet bean sauce - tons of pork with scallions in a delightful sauce that adds richness and just a touch of sweetness (not in a cloying way). Crispy Spicy Chicken - exactly what it says - very crispy, quite spicy - again, tons of flavor in a mix of vegetables and chilis. Authentic Sichuan food made with fresh ingredients. I had the cucumber salad; fresh cucumbers in a spicy red sauce with peanuts. Also I had the lamb with scallions. The Walnut Shrimp was made instead with pecans...it was awesome! The shrimp was perfect, the broccoli was crisp and the toasted pecans and coconut sauce was truly a gift. Yumm! I am in and out of Bloomington regularly to visit family. We wanted Chinese, so I prepared myself for the same Americanized takeout before finding Sichuan Chinese on Yelp. We gave it a shot and... wow. This is some of the best Chinese food I've had since working in China. We had the beef flaming pot, the spicy crispy chicken, and those incredible dumplings. The heat level was ideal, the flavors were deep, and I was thrilled the whole time. Delivery was super fast, everything was well packaged and all the dishes were delicious.

Five of us ordered delivery to the office, and everyone loved their meals. We all did the lunch specials. Two ordered General Tso's, One Chicken Lo Mein, One Broccoli with Chicken, One Sweet & Sour Chicken, Crab Rangoon and Egg Rolls were shared. The General Tso's was all white meat, nicely breaded, and great spice level. Not too hot, but there was a slight kick. The entrees were well balanced with the amount of sauce served. Nothing was swimming in sauce like many restaurants. The egg drop soup was amazing, and had a touch of sesame oil in it. Everyone raved about the egg rolls. Delivery charge was $5 (pretty typical), but we all split the expense, so it was well worth the extra $1 per person. We will definitely order again! read more

This is the real deal! The Mah Po Tofu is amazing! The Sichuan pepper corns are supposed to numb your mouth...temporarily. And it DOES! If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go!
