It is family run and the young men who are usually at the front desk and also serving are so nice. One of my go to Chinese restaurant when I lived in St. Louis Park. We used to come pick up food during covid, to go orders only. They have a good size dining room. They usually have family working in the front, he checks in on us often. I always order the combination with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and wings. This was my first time trying Sichuan and I wasn't disappointed. The location of this restaurant is convenient with ample parking. Once entered, we were greeted by staff. The waitress was quick to seat and serve us. She was very polite. I ordered the Tofu Pho. It came with the typical sides of bean sprouts, jalapeños, and basil - all of which were fresh. The soup was also impressive just even at a glance. It was full of noodles, tofu, onions and green onions. Truly a filling dish, not just broth! The flavor was good and it warmed me up on this cool day. I also tried some of the Kung Pao Chicken and it was also great. Super flavorful, generous portion, high quality ingredients - delicious! The prices were very reasonable and each of us went home with left overs. I am surprised it took us so long to try out this spot. It may have been our first time, but it won't be our last! We had been there once. The food was good for American Chinese. We ordered a second time a few weeks later and were let down. When we got home we realized half of our order wasn't right and what they did get right was terrible. The chicken dish for the price was about 6 pieces of edible chicken and 18 pieces of chicken jerky. We called and they told us the only way to refund or give credit was to come in. We live 20 minutes away... not happening. Very disappointed and won't ever be stopping back. Between the disappointing food and abysmal service there are plenty of other places to try! read more

What a nice little find! The owners are Vietnamese, so in spite of the name being Sichuan, there's nothing Szechuan about this place. It's a run-of-the-mill American-Chinese menu, with two columns of traditional Vietnamese noodle soups on the menu: Pho and Hu Tiu. We got the Pho Special, which is Pho Dac Biet everywhere else. It is definitely on point for Suburban Pho. A bit heavy on the sweet side, but balanced enough that I did not "fix" or adjust it at all. That's saying a lot. Well they must have read all the negative reviews about the lady being grumpy, and our service was out of this world! The male owner served us, and he totally went out of his way to make sure we were well served. We typically order a bowl of Pho with extra noodles to share with me and my boy. He gave us an extra bowl of broth, AND an extra plate of noodles, even though he already loaded the bowl full of noodles! Small gestures, but they really went a long way to impressed because this is so rare in Chinese/Vietnamese establishments. If you are in a Pho craving in SLP/Hopkins/Golden Valley, this is the spot!! We'll definitely be back. Update: we tried the Cantonese Pan Fried Noodles with Beef, and were pleasantly surprised! First off this is a Cantonese dish that few real Cantonese restaurants even offers. It was actually pretty good! It was very close to the real thing. Great vegetarian options. Mixed vegetables in garlic sauce had great flavor and lots of big cuts of veggies. They have thin noodle Lo mein which was pretty good. Veggie fried rice very dark and flavorful. The cabbage and other veggies were cooked al dente so there was great crunch and taste, the sauce didn't overwhelm it which can be rare.
