I would have to agree with my cousin Michelle on this place. It is pretty darn good. I find myself craving their cheese slice quite regularly at $2 each, which is good to my pocketbook but not my a$$. I love the tang that their sauce has mixed with just the right amount of cheese. They also have Sicilian pies and "Grandma" pies. Both are square slice pies, and one is thick and one is thin. I am still trying to understand which one is which. The pasta dishes are also delicious and enough to feed two people for dinner with a side of their yummy garlic rolls (6 for $1.25). The pastas come in a foil bowl, so when you peel the lid off savory gobs of mozzarella cheese are exposed for the taking. Their calzone is nothing to laugh at for only $4, this mighty roll is filled with the freshest ricotta and mozzarella with just the right amount of oven char on the bottom. The only thing that bothers me is that they charge $.75 for a side of red sauce, which would normally come with a calzone for free. But, I guess they make up for it with low priced rolls. From my understanding, they specialize in chicken here. There are chicken pies, chicken rolls, and chicken bites. I will let you know when I try it. You will see me checking in here regularly. Ordered the mozzarella sticks which were delicious and crisp with a good snap and crunch along with a good amount of cheese. We also ordered a pepperoni and sausage and a meatball pizza pie that my son and his friends devoured. I ordered the Sicilys Best Special pizza that was stocked with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, onions, peppers and mushrooms. It was tasty but because it had all of those ingredients I couldn't tell you if the sauce was any good. My friend and I we're craving some late night pizza and wanted delivery. This place worked out and we ordered right away. I ordered a large sausage and mushroom and boy did their pizza size not disappoint and delivery was fast! Their large is a very generous portion and I really liked their crust, thin but not too thin. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the canned mushrooms, I love mushrooms but prefer fresh. I still ate them though. I think if they used fresh muahrooms it could elevate the mushroom pizza more. The portion size and price was decent. Tax included on the price. However, the sauce of the pizza lacked flavor. The Sicilian slice was not "Sicily's best. This pizzeria doesnt have the Italian touch with the basil, sweet, salty, garlic pizza sauce. It felt like the sauce is canned and the use of garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. The cheese did not stretch and doesnt have that rich milky flavor. The thin crust was not crisp and probably needed more time in the oven. The pepperoni bites was something that is unique that ive never seen in a pizzeria. My husband grew up in the Bushwick neighborhood. He moved away for 10 years and we are now back in the same area. We like to patronize local restaurants, so we tried Sicily's Best Pizzeria We had the Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Wings, garlic knots, sautéed Broccoli, and a slice of Pepperoni Pizza. The Bolognese was slathered in cream sauce and the Chicken Marsala was so bland... the chicken looked like it was boiled and can't even taste a hint of the marsala wine.. The pizza and garlic knots were not bad, but were not great either... The only thing we enjoyed were the sautéed broccoli and chicken wings... We were hungry and got full, but did not really enjoy the taste of the food. Nice staff and the price is not too expensive, but I think There are other better competition in the neighborhood. I've been eating here for about a year now and it has become my go to pizza place. Warning - the slice selection is limited compared to most places in NYC. But, that doesn't matter, because this is a neighborhood joint. All the locals, especially the old Italians, eat here consistently. The owner Gaspar grew up in the area so he has lots of fun stories to share . If they have arancini (rice balls), snag them. They are always in limited supply because Gaspar's dad makes them. This is closest you will get to an authentic home made Sicilian dish in America. The regular slice is always solid and consistent typical of a good New York style: the crust, sauce, to cheese ratio is good. They make their margarita in a unique way that's worth a purchase. My friends at the local community center rave about it. Nevertheless, your best bet here is the Sicilian or upsidedown Sicilian slice. For 2.50 you get a nice block of a slice that not doughy and holds well (a rarity for the style). At pizza places, my philosophy is to stick to pizza. But some of the other baked goods are awesome. The sausage roll makes a nice lunch for 5.50 and the pepperoni pinwheels make for a good snack. Believe it or not, they also make a mean cannoli that rivals the bakery near by. I tried this spot for the first time last night, excited by the reviews, and ordered one of the specials which looked like an amazing deal, and would have been minus my grievances. The regular cheese pizza was great and did not disappoint. The main reason I'm upset is the lasagna. It was quite rotten, I'm not sure if it originated in the cheese or the sauce, and I'm sure it would have been quite good otherwise, it looked amazing but made me a ill and I had to abandon my attempt to eat it after a couple of sour bites. I would give this place another chance if I got a lasagna from there in normal condition. My friends and I ordered delivery from them last night and while it was the perfect food to feed a big group of drunk, hungry people, I don't think I would order from them again. Their prices are incredible and really hard to beat. We ordered one family meal that came with one large cheese pizza, one baked ziti, one chicken parmigiana hero, six pepperoni bites, six garlic knots, buffalo wings and a 2 liter soda. The whole thing only cost $31and was a huge amount of food. We actually ended up ordering an extra pepperoni pizza, which on its own was a bit more expensive ($18), but amazingly almost all of the food was eaten. The pizzas were quite big, but the crust wasn't especially thin or crispy and it wasn't anything special. The garlic knots weren't knots, instead they were just little lumps of dough without much flavor and the pepperoni bites were just glorified versions of that. The buffalo wings were pretty good although the chicken parmigiana hero was average at best. Overall it didn't impress anyone in our group, but it did the job and we all felt full at the end of our meal. read more

Sicely's Best is mere steps from my door. I am not sure why it is not Sic-i-ly's Best, but who am I to criticize such friendly folks? The restaurant is clean, the menu includes pizza, Italian favorites, and the obligatory beef patty. The pizza has generous servings of cheese, a crispy crust, and not-overpowering sauce. Order a slice with sausage and they slice it lengthwise and pile it on. Their garlic rolls are tasty and just a tad greasy--the way I like 'em. My favorite, though, is the pepperoni rolls. Two bites each, the are buttery-garlic bread wrapped around a slice of pepperoni with some cheese element baked in. They are $1.99 for a half-dozen, which is a meal in itself. All the prices here are good for New York and excellent for the service and high-quality food they provide. read more
