    L-industrie Pizzeria Thus is one of the premier pizza places in New York, busy for a reason, because it is top quity pizza, not a sit down place, eat at the bar top tables if you can find some room New Yorker Pizza is a very good slice classic and delicious, the Margharita Pizza is a safe bet but go for some sometime different, the fig jam and bacon, doesn't sound like something you would normally order but get out of the comfort zone and do it. You want ambiance or you want something good to eat, you stomach will love you. There is a reason why this place is always busy, because it is a winner.

    Came on a Wednesday around 9:30 and there was no wait to order! But certainly pretty packed inside. I got the Burrata slice with hot honey & the Tartufo. The Burrato blew me away, incredible thin crust, amazing balance of flavors & i adored the addition of the hot honey.

    All the videos and things I had heard about this place I had very high expectations. I think it met my expectations but didn't at the same time. I wasn't blown away however the pizza was still very good, very fresh and ingredients were top notch. It's a place I would revisit and strongly recommend if you've never been or if you're visiting NY. The vibe was great and there's bus outside you can stand and eat in. However, I believe it is for customers who purchased slices and do not have a box. When we go back I want to try some of their desserts, we didn't really have the opportunity on our first visit. I look forward to giving this place a second look.

    Josh Hart was right - this pizza is bomb. Stopped in for a couple slices and this might be the best pizza I've had. Loved the melted burrata on the pizza and the hot chili oil you can add is soooo good. Tartufo slice was amazing too. Would come back for a full pie!

    One of my fav pizzas in NY. Thank you to my friend who swore by it and took me! The fig pizza is sooo gyat damn good. Their soft serve with olive oil and a lil bit of salt is even better. Currently living in SF and I still crave, hope, and dream for L'industrie's pizza!!

    I went right before opening on Saturday, and there weren't many people in line. Even after they opened, it still wasn't too bad. I tried a few different slices, and my favorites were the Burrata and Tartufo. The Fig Jam one was a bit of a miss for me--maybe I expected too much, but it felt a little bland. The Tartufo was the standout though, really good mushroom flavor and a lot of depth. I also got a New Yorker slice, which was a bit smaller than a usual slice. I added hot honey, but honestly I think it's better without it. Their pistachio gelato was also great--not too sweet at all. It was the perfect way to finish after pizza. Really light, creamy, and just the right balance so it didn't feel heavy after eating.

    Be prepared to wait for quite some time for this pizza but also know that it is really good pizza. Once you get inside, you order at the counter and try to find a place to sit/stand to wait for/eat your pizza. It will be very crowded but don't give up. There is also a bathroom! My friend and I got the burrata ($5.75), fig jam & bacon ($6.25), l'industrie ($7.50), and white ($4.25). Literally every single slice was fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong with picking any slice off the menu. Definitely worth at least one try!

    Ok so we arrived at 11:20 and we were the first ones online. 20 minutes later this place had a serious line. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions! Inside is standing only if you choose to eat there. It feels like a pizza shop but they were blasting some club music which was a little odd but I guess the kitchen staff like it, I got the margarita slice, the le industrie slice and the burrata slice. All good, the crust is very thin and well cooked if you like that style. I'm glad we tried it!

    Took a bit of a wait but the varied slices were well worth it; the fig and bacon was a great contrast in sweet and savory flavors, while the tartufo had strong truffle notes that wasn't overpowering. The burrata was simpler but still had gooey accents. Overall they were thin and not overly filling.

    Stopped by L'Industrie Pizza for a quick bite before they opened so we could beat the line (nobody really was there until 10 minutes prior to opening). Highly recommend! Burrata: $5.50 Fig jam & bacon: $6 (my favorite!) NY slice: $5.50 White pizza: $3.50 (tomato slices require a minimum of 2) Everything was very delicious, with high-quality ingredients and fast service despite a long-ish line. Space is tight, so it's more of a grab-and-go or quick stand-to-eat option.

    Today was the day I finally made my pilgrimage to the OG location of L'Industrie. Got there just before noon before the line began forming and I was the fourth on line to order. The place exuded a great vibe that really made it stand out. I ordered the white slice and tartufo slice. Both came within a few minutes and I was blown away by the texture and taste of both the toppings and the dough itself. The slices were well balanced and due to the fermentation was easy on the stomach and I ended up ordering a third slice before I left. This pizzeria really earns the accolades it has gotten from many people and groups like Top50 Pizza which named it the number one slice shop in the US two years in a row. This pizzeria is easily on my top 10 list for sure and it is the worth the trek. To the crew at L'Industrie, keep on making excellent pizza and be back again soon and hope to visit the West Village and Little Italy spots soon!

We ordered a medium Margarita based pizza with pepperoni & roasted peppers toppings. We were really surprisd the pizza came out in less than 5 minutes after waiter served us our drink order. Upon biting into it, right away what popped up in my head is 'why is the pizza crust so soggy?' Maybe the knife & fork on the table should've been a dead give away. One saving Grace is the sauce does have a sweetness to it, not tangy like some other famous shop in the Village. And also the 2 toppings were tasty enough to save this dining experice. Before leaving the restaurant, asked our waiter about the crust, he said since restaurant wasn't busy, the kitchen had already pre-made the pizzas, so it was just a matter of heating it and bring it out, hence the fast service. Pro-tip: next time (a big if for this reviewer), one must ask the crust be 'well-done,' in order to get its texture to the desired degree of cripiness that one should expect from what should have been an iconic pizza place in NYC.

I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. Then pop back in the oven for the imported olive oil to permeate and create a beautiful glistening coat. And once cooked he would then graciously cut basil on top of the pie. Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. I once rated them as the best in NYC. Unfortunately, its not at the very top but still on the podium. Coming back feels like you are saying hello to an old friend. If you haven't been, you have to try at least once.

The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.

We shared several appetizers, including meatballs, a margarita, pizza, bake clams, and spicy shrimp. All were delicious. I had a seafood pasta with squid ink that was memorable. Lots of seafood and the pasta was fantastic! Nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Good service. Frankly, I think the prices were cheaper than what I pay in Austin area, and the food and venue were authentic and much better than in Texas!

Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
