I've lived in Brooklyn a good portion of my life and have pizza in many corners of the borough and throughout a large part of NYC, Rome to Brooklyn Pizza is some of the best pizza I've had anywhere. The sauce, the dough, the cheese all blends so well together and is served in a fairly nice sliced portion. Also had a garlic roll which is really good too. As I tried different Pizzas all over, this one is best of the best. There is only Ruzz Pizza on Manhattan av. That in my tasting view is as good as this Pizza. After having a horrible pizza in a different place, I realized how amazing the pizza is here in taste. For a few years, this is one has a consistent great flavor and taste. And one day, I ate a slice that was cold and the crust tasted soooo good, it blew me away. I realized that I had never tasted a cold pizza as good as the one here. My partner and I were in the area and had a hankering for some pizza, luckily Rome to Brooklyn came to the rescue. My favorite slice this time around was the Vodka Burrata Pesto Sicilian pizza. Vodka sauce and pesto were great. Burrata creamy. Crust perfect combo of doughy + crispy. One of my favorite slices of 2025 so far. Small, local spot for sure with only a couple of two seater tables. This 4.8 rating really steered me wrong this time . Neither the burrata -vodka nor the mushroom slice was impressive . The latter, barely had any flavor whatsoever and the former was like eating a bread dipped in sauce . It had no sorta texture outside of the pizza breading (not even the burrata) and the sauces were just too much with not enough complexity . Overall , I didn't enjoy either of my slices . I'll boil my displeasure down to mainly their flavorings from their sauces and use/lack there of -of cheeses and I'll give some love to their very solid crust. read more

I recently went to an over-hyped Pizzeria in NYC that shall remain nameless (*cough* UNA PIZZA NAPOLETANA *cough-cough*) and spent an obscene amount of money on a couple of small-ish pizzas. Still deeply regretting it weeks later, especially having grown up in Italy and enjoyed some of the best pizzas in the world at no more than 10-15 euros for a whole pie. As a palate / experience cleanser, I recently set off on a Pizza Tour of Williamsburg to try out at least 3 acclaimed pizzerias - and this was our first stop. Rome to Brooklyn isn't as hugely famous or hyped up as L'Industrie or other heavy-hitters in town, but it's famous enough for there to be a buzz about it at the least (hence my visit). This was probably my favorite out of all 3 great pizzerias I went to in Williamsburg. They have it all - great taste, great prices, and no massive line out the door or pretentious reservation requirements. You walk in, you see what you like, you get great pizza in minutes and enjoy people-watching at one of their little tables. We went for their Vodka Burrata Pesto Sicilian slice, which was thick but surprisingly airy / way less heavy on the stomach than you'd think at a glance. Very tasty. Almost as good was their Grandma's Pepperoni square slice - a teensy bit greasy maybe but in a good way. They didn't skimp on the toppings for either slice. We also had one of their garlic knots and were well pleased with that as well. Probably spent about $10 - $12 for three items, all of which quite flavorful - which at a well-known gem in the middle of Williamsburg, is an excellent deal. The guy behind the counter was also super friendly and accommodating, they have good staff here. This is one of the few places in NYC that I would actively go out of my way to come back to, for a couple of slices - not just because there's a ton of other flavors and styles that I've yet to try out here. It's also right across the street from the Williamsburg Animal Clinic, where they take good care of pups and pets. Maybe treat yourself to a delicious slice before/after you treat your furry loved ones to a good checkup? Anyways, will be back here (or at the very least will try the option up in Greenpoint) for sure! read more

I've come here a few times and previously tried their Buffalo Chicken Pizza. My personal favorite is their Vodka Sauce Pizza. The sauce does overflow but you can pick it up again with your pizza crust. This is a great pizza spot on in Williamsburg. They have a vast selection of pizza on display to choose from as well as a menu with other food items such as panzerotti, focaccia, pasta, etc. I came first thing in the morning to start my weekend with a slice of pizza from them. It was worth the wait since it did require to cool down before cutting a slice. What I liked about this spot is that it's your classic pizzeria with the staff hard at work making the pizza and sharing in conversation on making sure the pizza turns out great. A bit of overheard conversation while eating but I quite enjoyed it. It's very chill at some part of the days as well as get a bit lively. Discovered this slice house while doing a self guided pizza tour throughout Brooklyn. Seemed like mostly a to-go / pickup spot, but there were some tables in the front where we were able to sit while enjoying our pizza. The service was fast and friendly (got our piping hot pizza within 5 min of ordering - and still tasted fresh). The pizza was incredible - we tried three different slices / squares. A vodka slice (cheese on bottom, sauce on the top - which was creamy but not too soupy), a pepperoni square (pepperoni themselves were delicious, wasn't the biggest fan of the tomato sauce tho), and a hellraiser square (soppresatta with spicy peppers, cheese, and hot honey). Wobbled over here on a Friday night with not many people inside. Only a couple tables to the right near the counter, so it's mostly a spot to take on the go. Opted for slices of the Buffalo Chicken and the Margherita, along with a water (total $10). Crust on both items are perfectly crispy, not overcooked and light up top. Margherita is easy to eat - good blend of the cheese and sauce with a slight kick. Buffalo chicken isn't too greasy, nice chicken chunks and the right amount of buffalo sauce. This was our first visit for delivery, and when we looked at reviews we saw that the 1/2 buffalo and 1/2 truffle white pizza was a popular option - and my husband and I's respective favorite pizzas! A large pie by itself, or mix and match will run you $28+ tax. There is no option for 1/2 pie on the website or 3rd party vendors like GrubHub, but I placed a buffalo chicken pizza and added the 1/2 pizza request in the notes section and they fulfilled it without any fuss. The buffalo was delicious - nice and saucey, tangy, thin crust, and the chicken tasted very fresh I'm a truffle lover, and overall I give the mushroom truffle a lesser rating than the buffalo. You could absolutely smell and taste the bit of truffle, but everything else left a bit more to be desired for me. I wanted the mushrooms to have more flavor, but they were mostly just cooked and slapped on the pizza to me - but maybe cooking in garlic, or some sort of cream sauce would make the overall taste pack a punch just a bit more! I still enjoyed it, but I'm a bit pickier when it comes to my favorite flavor. It's not shy of mushrooms and is loaded with them, as well as fresh rosemary. I also appreciated that they don't upcharge you for a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza. Overall, this spot would definitely be a go-to pizza spot for me if I lived in the area. Upon placing my order I talked about how good it sounds and how I can't wait to dig in. I get a call 10 minutes after my order was placed to tell me they ran out of blueberry slices. Heard about this place but never been until now. Stopped by right as they were opening and taking the pizzas fresh out of the oven. Let me set this straight, when you first walk into this place and you immediately take a look at their slices you know something really good is going on here. Not only do they have slices you won't find anywhere else but you could tell this place is a step above with its ingredients and just the way the slices look. I went with their white slice and vodka slice. The white slice is 1000% better than any white slice I've ever had in NYC. Change my mind. Riccotta and mozzarella topped with caramelized onions, black pepper, and extra virgin olive oil. You tell me who else does a white slice like this? The vodka slice was just as good. The first time I came here I got the white truffle mushroom pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza, and then it was so good that I came back with my wife and got the grandma pizza and prosciutto/arugula pizza! The crust on these pizzas are perfect and if I were to go again I'd definitely get the white truffle mushroom pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza again. I am lucky to drive by here every few weeks, and without fail, always stop by for a few bites. Yesterday, on the way home, I bought lunch back for the family from here. There was three of each type: Grandma, Mushroom, and Pepperoni. Hard to choose a favorite, they were all too good. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas and said they want to try it fresh next time at the restaurant. What makes it so great? Like all pizzas imho, it starts with that amazing crust, crispy, flaky and delicious. This is what separates Rome to Brooklyn from almost all other pizzerias.
