Another amazing meal at SDC!!! April was our server and made our evening special!!! Only thing we didn't care for was the specialty cocktail menu. All the selections appeared to be summer based and sweet. No spicy ones or bourbon based. That being said we settled for our favorite Old Fashioned. The Cesar salad was delicious and the Coconut Lime Seafood Ragu was out of this world!!! We both had it and will order it again next time we come!!!

So has to be one of my top dining experiences lately. Looked it up saw some great reviews and went for it. Wow now trying to figure out how to make it back soon!!! We had Mike he was very personable and made us feel welcome and relaxed. That's was a busy place but never felt rushed. .we started with seafood chowder had one piece of potato and the rest was all seafood big chunks of clams crab and fish. Good wine menu not overdone and some good local wines from willamette valley. Marion-berry mule was tasty. Great salad and dinner menu as well seafood strong but dam that rack of lamb looked amazing as it walked by. We had the coconut lime sea grass ragu so much seafood and special Pam crusted halibut with mushrooms ravioli. Oh my good were these large portions. Best value for the price I've seen in ages. I don't take pictures a lot but made an exception. Then you get to dessert had bread pudding and it was so tasty. Have to find my way back there. Please Just GO!!!! It's only an hour from the willamette valley wish they could open a sister restaurant there.

Yummm! We came for girls dinner. I got the salmon special which came with a twice baked potato, veggies and salmon. There wasn't a lot of veggies it was four pieces of asparagus. The twice baked was pretty flat. Salmon was delicious. So rate 3/5. The cookie ice cream sandwich was HUGE! We split it between the four of us. Service was impeccable hence the five star review. The setup inside was so cute and loved the set up!

On our honeymoon, my husband and I looked for a unique spot to celebrate. After looking online, we were quickly drawn to Side Door Cafe. From the moment we walked inside, we were struck by the lovely atmosphere. The staff were all pleasant, and our waitress was so attentive and kind. Both the seafood alfredo and salmon were excellent! The chocolate peanut butter cream pie was a scrumptious dessert to end the evening.

Another trip to the beach and dinner at Side Door. Mocktails are getting so good!!! The Lamb I cannot get away from! Fried Oysters were something new to us and very good! Our server made things feel rushed and from ordering to clearning plates. Not sure why, there were plenty of reservations online still and the place wasn't overly busy and there was no wait to be seated. When paying $190.00 I like to feel welcomed and relaxed. Just my opinion. Hope Alica gets the opportunity to read and maybe see thing from her customers point of view.

Call me a creature of habit, but I'll never come to Gleneden without stopping by Side Door. Every single item we've ordered has been amazing--consistently delicious and beautifully plated. You can tell they put real care into every dish. The service is just as impressive--attentive, welcoming, and always on point. It's become a must-visit every time we're in town.

Loved starting July 4 here and am updating my review to a strong 5. And can't wait to return. The lunch menu has many options at a lower price point. With encouragement from Mike our waiter, I upgraded the shrimp quesadilla to prawns. The large stuffed quesadilla arrived with chunks of prawns, fresh pico de gallo and avocado and crunchy grilled tortilla holding it all together yum. And it started with Left Coast Coffee OG. My fave!!

Walkway up to the front door documenting the evening's celebrations.

Ask the Community - Side Door Cafe

Do they have an outdoor area where I can bring my dog?

I did not see an outdoor seating area when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Maybe there is one behind the building? We weren't offered outdoor dining as an option so I would say no.

Do they let you bring your own wine?

I'm not sure as they serve wine but they wereincredibly helpful on the phone they could tell you

Parking is a little limited, but there's plenty of roadside parking nearby, so it's easy enough to make it work. The dining room opens up to a panoramic sweep of the ocean, and we happened to be there right at sunset. The sky was glowing, the waves catching the light in that shimmering way only the Oregon coast can pull off. It's the kind of view that makes you slow down, sip your drink, and just take it all in. We started with beers. I ordered the Heater Allen Pilsner, and my boyfriend went with the Ayinger Brauweisse. Both were incredibly smooth going down, the kind of beers that feel crisp, clean, and easy without losing flavor. Perfect start to the evening. I went with the Herb Crusted Lingcod, served with creamy mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts over a lemon caper cream sauce. The lingcod was cooked beautifully. It was tender, flaky, and seasoned just right. The mashed potatoes were absolutely yummy, and the brussels sprouts were a hit. Everything on the plate worked together. My boyfriend ordered the Teres Major, which came with an 8 oz Wagyu steak, truffle mashed potatoes, green beans, all resting on a peppercorn cream sauce. Side note: the menu says asparagus, but he ended up with green beans. Luckily they were crisp and delicious. The steak itself was juicy and cooked perfectly, and you can never go wrong with truffle mashed potatoes. We wrapped up the night with tiramisu. Flavor‑wise, it was spot on. Rich espresso, creamy mascarpone, though the ladyfingers were very soaked and softer than expected. Still tasty, just a different texture. Final Thoughts Tidal Raves is absolutely worth the stop. Great food, smooth drinks, attentive service, and a sunset view that feels like a postcard. I'll definitely be back again.
