I love coming here!! Such a good and retro vibe. Everyone is super helpful and both the coffee and drinks are amazing.

A cute store where I found the best flip flops as I forgot to think about that important detail- too many hours on high heels

I have celebrated a very special event in my life with a tight circle of friends and family. I can't say enough how happy and grateful I am for the owners of the place. They were supportive and understanding with each question or request headed their way. Sidecar is such a unique and beautiful place with a great vibe. I would continue celebrating all my major milestones there! Thank you, guys, for being awesome! With so much love, your loyal customer And yes, we danced as well

Stopped in for some specialty coffee! Many choices on the menu! The barista was very helpful and when she saw me struggling between two of the drinks, suggested adding chocolate to the peanut butter latte and it was delicious! We also did some shopping and found some unique earrings .

Very unique shop with coffee and bar combo. Awesome for daytime shopping and browsing as well as a cool night time spot. They also had a variety of baked goods. The interior is so beautiful and well thought out, with items that I don't think you could find anywhere else. The floor has gorgeous retro tiles, exposed brick walls and industrial ceilings, but decorated with glam furniture and fixtures.

Lovely place to go and chill with friends and get great beverages! The interior is very decorated and staff is super nice as well

This place is unique. Really unique. Food and drinks. I had coffee which was really really. Good. Candyce had a mimosa Just some to relax and take into what else is in DeLand. The place has the lunch and drink counter but it has clothing and kitchen stuff to buy. Very eclectic but worthwhile to cone in and look aroubd

This place is really cute and eclectic. There is a bar when you enter but they also sell all sorts of retro clothes gadgets and cool gifts. They serve limited light foods and pastries also. The staff is young and very friendly. You can sit inside or out as well. My gf and I had some champagne and a dessert. I will return next time I have a gift to give on the fly.

I returned to Side Car to try a beverage and it was really good! I got a grapefruit spitz with an espresso shot. Sounds like a funky combo, but the rich espresso and tart juice really balanced out in a fun bubbly drink! Their tea and coffee concoctions are so creative. I even got compliments on how pretty the drink was while walking down the street. Service is great and the store is so beautiful!

This is a great little store to stop for a cold beer, refreshment, or snack while shopping in Deland. I didn't realize they had beer at first because we were in shopping mode, but as we wandered in there it was in all of its glory.....Beer! Of course, the shopping came first and there is a lot of cool old and new-vintage items to choose from. I don't know if these were sale, but the Schlitz beer chandelier and Jesus eating a hot dog portrait were pretty cool. Two items that caught my attention were (1) the CHILL freezable aerator for wine ($20); and (2) the Atomic Drinkware glasses ($14). We didn't purchase any of the merchandise, but we did have two beers. I went with the Copper Point West Coast IPA ($7.5), which was about half foam. The bartender offered me different beer of my choice when I finished that one. For my second beer I went with the Home State - Vienna style Lager ($7). My mom decided on the Walking Tree - Treasure Kolsch ($7). The beer was delicious but not super cold, which might be the reason my first beer was foaming. All-in-all this store is very cool and makes downtown Deland all the more fun and unique. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the area.

This store has such a good vibe and a ton of affordable items to choose from. Some of the items you will find include colorful art pieces, tie-dye tees, religious sculptures, dream catchers, handmade clothing, one-of-a-kind ornaments and wind chimes, handmade flutes and other instruments, singing bowls made from bronze and crystal in multiple sizes, a multitude of incents and scented oil varieties, handmade rugs and furniture throw covers, lockable hemp diary's, hand-made purses, a ton of unique handmade jewelry, and more. While shopping I was trying to encourage a bronze singing bowl to sing for me, but couldn't get it going. The store owner graciously walked me through it; ahhhh, that's how it's done, now I remember. She was sweet enough to bring out her large crystal bowl, so I could make it sing; it was amazing! This bowl rang so loud I thought the glass jewelry cases would shatter, but didn't, awesome! My mom and I picked out a couple small gifts, and incents before leaving. I love how this store brings out the kid in me. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the downtown Deland area.

We stumbled upon this home mercantile shop on a Saturday while exploring the area, and I'm so glad we did. They have a shabby chic/vintage vibe with some really unique pieces that have a more modern feel. They have some large furniture pieces, rugs & textiles, and curated antiques throughout the store. We got a few home accents/knick knacky things to decorate our home office and bookshelf. They also have some great faux plants/greens that are perfect if you're a plant killer like me. I was really crushing on all their kitchen tools -- brass honey dippers, cute measuring cups, cutting & charcuterie boards, stoneware, hand carved wood bowls, marble pinch pots for herbs & seasonings... the list goes on. I'm not much of a cook but this shop made me wish I was, haha. I also ended up getting a comfy dress and some earrings (they have a great gold jewelry selection), and I've already worn it twice (instant closet staple). I just discovered that they also have an online store, so now I can shop there anytime since I'm not in that area too often (YAY!). I believe the owner herself, Bobbie, helped me that day and she was so lovely! If you're in the DeLand area, be sure to check this shop out.

We bought a hot air Balloon , blow in the wind thing, they have many colors to chose from. I will post a pic after I mount it here. Anita herself was very friendly. I didn't ask for a refund all I wanted was a replacement. She says to me "if I replace it I am out $50"! I was in total shock! #1 she didn't pay $50 for the item I did. She said that the manufacturer would not give her credit for it or replace it. That was the worst customer service for a store that I have ever experienced. She took my name and number and said she would send the picture to the manufacturer and see what he said. That was over a month ago now. Have heard nothing. Another customer in the store that overheard our conversation was also in shock. Told me outside that she would not consider buying anything there again after witnessing her poor customer service with me. I will never purchase anything in Anita's again and have spread the word about this to everyone I know and will continue to do so when the opportunity arises. I am in downtown DeLand every week and have even shared my experience with other small stores downtown and they have all had the same reaction....not good for the reputation of other downtown DeLand stores.

The store is huge and jam packed full of good furniture, home decor, collectables, jewelry, and more; so much so that a tall guy like me has a hard time getting around without bumping my head on something hanging from above. There is also a warehouse next door to the main building but it is closed until Thursdays, I guess to minimize the amount of staff working on slower days. Something to note that this store has a fantastic selection of stained glass sheets in a variety of sizes for sale. They also have a stained glass workshop in the back, very cool. Plus the owner makes stained glass wind chimes and other items that are here for sale. Although many of the items here are very nice and an excellent condition, we felt that everything is just too expensive. Even some of the items you consider 'Thrifty' seemed overpriced. Regardless, if you're looking for a unique piece of furniture, lamp, or dining room set they just might have it. I highly recommend checking them out if you have never been here before because they do have a lot of great stuff, but honestly I can't see myself going back here on the regular just because of the pricing.
