Ran out of food on Father's Day and still stayed open.. they had maybe 4 dishes to choose from and one or two sides. Awful management. What restaurant doesn't order extra food when there's a holiday during that week? And why would you stay open only to make people mad? Several tables stormed out after hearing about the lack of food. Manager tried making excuses about how they don't get shipments until Monday which was the very next day. and the one time we went and actually could get food, it was dry and bland.. will never be returning. When I go there I will only have a drink. And I stop going there completely due to the food being terrible but more importantly the condition of restrooms. WYs were very nasty and often witness employees come in use restroom and not wash their hands Can only imagine the condition of the kitchen and there is no real health inspections like you get in Davidson County. Was hoping the food and experience would have improved after their remodel. Neither did. The restaurant wasn't very busy when I arrived. An elderly couple was in front of me and they were asked to stand and wait for an available waitress although there were plenty of empty tables available. They expressed to the hostess how badly they needed to be sat due to their health conditions and nothing was done for several minutes while there were plenty of empty tables. Once they were sat I waited for an additional 5 minutes to be sat although roughly half the tables and booths in the restaurant were empty. Once sat I waited for my waitress for close to 10 more minutes while observed the servers all laughing and doing nothing for anyone at the bar. Finally, I'm greeted by my waitress and ask for a sweet tea to drink. 14 minutes later my sweet tea is brought to my table. The Big burger I ordered was okay although it clearly sat under the heat lamp waiting on a food runner for way too long and by the time it arrived to my table the meat was Luke warm. I finish my meal and one sweet tea and ask for the check. The waitress then rolled her eyes when I asked for a to go box. Won't be back, and giving two starts because there is zero variety of food in Ashland City. If this restaurant were located anywhere in Nashville they would not survive. I'm not sure what has happened to this place. We were regular customers here and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It has progressively gotten worse in the past several months. So I ignored the "No Carry" sign. I decided that the protection of my family was more important. The food is wonderful. I was pleased that it was as good being sort of a "hole in the wall" of cheatham co. The waitress we had in the bar was lovely. The server was prompt, attentive, and helpful, the food was plentiful, home made, and reasonably priced. I had a salmon salad that could have easily fed two for lunch-a perfectly-cooked salmon filet on mixed greens with a huge pile of REAL bacon bits, big chunks of blue cheese (YUM!), a whole boiled egg (halved), and really good balsamic vinaigrette. My BF had the rib eye, which was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. And you absolutely MUST try the mozzarella sticks-not the usual frozen kind-but hand-made, hand-breaded in panko crumbs, and HUGE! You could make a meal out of these and a draft Blue Moon...and the band was good when I was there... read more

The service was extremely friendly, but the food was mediocre-to-moderate. The meat was not cooked with any sauce on it, so it just tastes pretty much boiled with sauce added after the fact. Plus, probably a quarter of the meat on the pulled pork sandwich was fat that had to be pulled off first. Food is usually pretty good, but it's so cold in the restaurant (this is May) that my wife and I couldn't wait to get out. Another customer was complaining about the cold also, but nothing was done. In fact, when we asked a server why they keep it so cold her only answer was that she was freezing too, but couldn't do anything about it because of the manager. He was sitting back in a office near the restrooms where I noticed it was notably warmer than the eating area of the restaurant. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and happy servers are what you will find at at Sidelines Grill in Ashland City! The burgers are great and cooked to perfection. My favorites meal is the smothered chicken breast with a side of squash casserole! The chicken is tender and juicy with the mushrooms and swiss cheese. The squash casserole is tasty and is a classic southern side. The atmosphere is nice and I like the tables and decor on the walls. The decor is like a sports bar but it is also classy. The serves are all happy and they all seem to have that southern hospitality. read more

The food here is actually pretty good, but there are just some basics that they can't seem to get right. The pizza would be incredible if it weren't for the crust which is no better than a $1 frozen pizza. The real Achilles heel of this place is the service. I've been here 5 times since moving to Ashland City from Nashville a couple moths ago and I've only had good service once. Two other times, the service was okay, but nothing memorable. And the final two times were quite literally infuriating. I've never understood how people who work for tips can be so unfriendly and ungrateful for business. Ashland City has so much potential, which is why we invested here. This place could be epic, but with this kind of service, they shouldn't expect newcomers to keep coming back. read more

NON gun friendly even though we are in one of the most gun friendly states in the country, and it is 100% legal to carry inside this restaurant. They try to cook the food way too fast, especially on smoker night. Friday night steak night is awesome. Can some one PLEASE tell me how sidelines can be out of spinach dip for three weeks straight. We were told for two weeks that the food truck hasn't made it there with the ingredient. And for the last week of the three we were told that only Dave the manager was the only one to make it. So tell my why for two weeks someone couldn't walk thru the parking lot to Walmart and get the ingredients. Terrible. I am so sad it is because its the only sports bar type place around here. We gave it several times. Its disgusting and dirty there. They had Gnats flying around our food...flies too. If you look in the kitchen area its nasty we saw trash overflowing and it smelled bad. The food isn't that good either macncheese tastes like its been out for days no flavor. twice I ordered chicken and it was black burnt. My husband didn't really brag on his food either. The waiters their are not very intelligent. They are slow even when no one is in there. But most importantly its not sanitary! The last time we went their a fly landed on my meal...and the trash wash overflowing and dirty dishes everywhere..no thanks. that was last straw. We never eat there anymore. WELCOME BACK, SCOTT. We always enjoyed Sidelines Grill in Ashland City. My friends and I have gone every Friday for lunch for over a year. We went on Friday because of Scott's beer cheese soup! It is their Friday soup of the day and it has always been delicious. Several weeks ago we could tell they changed the recipe and after several weeks of trying it we decided we would no longer order it. Low and behold, we found out that Scott had been ill and was out for a while. Well, today Scott was back and you can tell! The soup is creamy and delicious again. We love many other things here. The fried chicken breast, catfish, burgers, club sandwich and also the rib special (on Monday evenings) and the fried cheese appetizer are among our favorites. Their side salads are huge and fresh and service is great. We love our regular server, Hannah. She knows what we like and takes great care of us. I've seen some negative reviews but I have never experienced anything bad here. And they have a full bar. read more

There isnt much option for places to eat in ashland city and this could have been a good place but its run by ignorance. My family has ate here several times giving it another chance but every time we were disappointed. First off they have flies and bugs...they always swarm us when eating and when you walk to the bathroom the kitchen is filthy dirty.. they hads full trash can left out next to the food and a mess everywhere. Also the food is terrible and overpriced. I got a chicken sandwhich one time and the outside was burned and the inside was tough. Another time i got a reuben sandwhich and it was smaller than the ones i make at home does not fill you up and is overpriced. Every meal my husband has got was not satifying and he usulaly gets a meat and two side dishes. Their macaroni and cheese is nasty has no taste. So every time we have been there is was not good and the main reason we dont go here anymore is because of the filth we saw.. no way! i refuse to eat at a place that is dirty. if there are flies in ther everyt ime you go there take a hint its filthy just look at the back and the kitchen full of trash. maybe they will read this and get it together because they lost out business and many others of my friends. Not a good place to eatand i cant say much about the customer service either. We've been at this restaurant quite a few times. The meal you get depends on the mood of the staff. Friday night ribeye meals are the best thing going, as long as you get a good piece of meat without it being over cooked or gristly throughout. Twice I've ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and both times it came on a hot plate that wilted the lettuce and even melted the cheese to the rim of the plate. I have to really force myself to return something but I just could not eat mushy lettuce, when I was finally able to get the attention of our server, she said "huh, it must have sat under the heat lamps too long" then walked off... No offer to swap it out or bring me something else. Needless to say, we didn't go back for quite some time. Then new management came in and since we have such limited options in this town, we occasionally go for the ribeye. Well, this past week, it was a day of running and cooking at home didn't happen, I was very hesitant but I ordered the Cobb salad again and my husband even asked if it could be brought on a chilled (not hot) plate. The server looked at him like he had 3 eyes, smirked and had a blank stare so I told her the last time it came wilted. She walked away completely confused. Meal came and so did my HOT plated/wilted-mushy salad!! I ate what I could since our server was always rushing by and MIA most of our meal and vowed to erase this place off of our tiny list of local places to eat in our home town. Sad!! read more
