OMG! This was a dining experience! So, the restaurant was closing so my friend said we should eat…read morethere! I didn't know that the servings were group sized!! I found so many things that looked great on the menu, to include fried gizzards, boneless Kal Bi ribs, fully loaded fried rice, Mac salad and other stuff I can't recall! So the TWO of us ordered way too much! We tried to eat as much as we could and ended up taking the rest home! Everything we ordered was delicious, so we knew we were going to eat good leftovers! The restaurant was a great place to go with a group to eat and watch sports! Our Waitress (I have to remember to get names) was a track star, she was running to and from several tables of groups to deliver food! I will go again if they reopen!

If you're visiting Hawaii with a big group, 100% recommend taking them here…read more We initially were a party of 16, and showed up without a reservation at 6pm on a Saturday. The staff was super nice about it and was able to accommodate us, with only a small request that we be out by 8pm since there was another big party with a reservation coming in. Absolutely reasonable. They sat us right away at three large tables, which gave us plenty of space for food and didn't force us to sit super close together. Menus, waters, plates, napkins, and forks were all brought out immediately, and our waiter was quick to take our order. We started with the prix fixe menu for 8-10 guests and were going to add other items à la carte, but a handful of our group accidentally went to the other Side Street location (make sure your group is all on the same page), so what we ordered ended up being more than enough. We left stuffed and with 5 boxes of food still. Edamame was nice and steamy, and large enough to easily pop the beans out with your mouth. Wish there was a bit more salt though. The farmer's salad had everything going on from citrusy to salty to crispy. Avocado had a little bit of oxidation but the capers, dressing and potato curls provided plenty of reasons to overlook it. The fried rice came in a hefty portion, with sizable pieces of bacon and sausage. The chicken I didn't realize was boneless based on the shape of the deep fry, but it was nice to freely bite into it without worrying about hitting anything with my teeth. Probably a bit too much on fried bits but still good. Pork chops had a better meat to crisp ratio in my opinion, as well as juiciness. They even came with ketchup on the side, which I love as a pairing but don't see much of at restaurants. My favorite meat item was definitely the sizzling boneless kalbi. The presentation on the sizzling plate with a side of kimchi was spectacular, and the meat was full of flavor. We also ordered yakisoba, which wasn't part of the prix fixe. Tasted good but nothing past standard expectations. We let the waiter know we had a 30th birthday at the table, and they brought a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with a candle, and did a decent job getting the whole room to participate in the singing. It could also be the type of crowd this place attracts, since it seemed that everyone was so friendly and approachable. Thanks to the quick and consistent service, we were out in a little over an hour with no complaints.

Not to mention, this sports bar has been a fish bowl on the corner of Kapiolani since I was a kid! I don't come here often, but when I do, I mainly come here for the food, which is delicious... and worth the 10 years it takes to come out. Just don't go there if you're looking to eat pronto cause you know that they're putting all the love and care into your food. HAHA. Honestly, that's literally the only downside of TJ's... the food wait. But as I said, it's worth the wait if you're willing. Make sure you get their famous Mozzarella Sticks aka CHEESE LOGS! Their bar has everything under the sun, with a blender! I always apologize to Kristy and Truong for having to blend my Daiquiris... I know it's extra labor. Sorry! They host a lot of events, so the place can get quite packed... especially during sports... hence TJ's "sports" bar. The most welcoming sports bar in Honolulu.

I got their Korean Chicken lunch plate and my friend got the Chinese Style Seared Fish lunch plate. Not only were the portions huge, but the food was delicious! Vibe: The bar is spacious and never feels overly crowded, even when they're busy. Sometimes the service is a little slow when they're busy, but the lunch service was ridiculously fast and the servers are always super nice. Bathrooms are clean and there's darts boards with ample space around them. Parking: The paid parking lot is huge and always has stalls. Street parking is also available around the bar.

It got a bit loud at times but we were still able to talk. The waitress was pretty attentive to us with refills on our drinks which was nice. The food was good tasting, especially the pork chop and garlic chicken. We ordered the family set that was able to feed 4-6 people that was the perfect amount. Parking at this location is a little tough. They offer valet or you can find street parking or there's a tiny garage lot that you can pay for. Overall a good experience.

I remember Colin used to be the "kitchen mama" in one of the local bars Colin opened Side Street Inn on Hopaka Street, then a small (and I mean SMALL) little local bar with delicious local style foods Colin expanded the Hopaka street location but it was not enough.... Then Colin opens the Kapahulu location .... Then receives an award for great chef Then expanded further the Hopaka location and all the while.... His original fried rice and pork chops remain top of the list Yes, the menu has expanded, and the flavors remained very "local" Yes, it is pricey as today, there is no food dish that price is less than $20. This is a family style dining restaurant. For example. The original fried rice $26 feeds six people. Go figure! I won't beat this thing to death and will end it by saying Colin will always be missed, his food remains still same and tasty as he had designed it to be. Staff friendly as ever. Price? I've always been a believer that you get what you pay for and then some. Side street Inn is the epitome of you get what you pay for and then some Go there or be square

Tucked into the older part of Mililani, it still carries the spirit of the spot that once housed Chuck's, and it remains a go‑to for casual eats, cold drinks, and catching a game. The menu hits all the comfort‑food cravings. The short rib plate is one of the standouts--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a local bar favorite. Their wings come in a bunch of flavors and are always solid, especially when you're settling in for sports. Today's visit was another reminder of why this place sticks around. The Guac Burger was hearty and messy in the best way, the potato skins were crispy and loaded, and the Mama Mud Pie... still undefeated. It's the dessert I can never skip--rich, nostalgic, and the perfect finish, sad to say Shack does not carry this delicious slice BUT Raspberry Cheesecake ha Marie

This place really isn't my vibe, but decided to give it a chance after years last week Friday. First, the parking lot is horrendous. I would throw in the towel and just park on the street if I ever return. The lanes are really narrow and everyone and their children are in this area! I felt like we were totally rushed. We got there around 5:30pm and was already out the door a bit after 6pm because I felt like we were being ushered to leave. The waitress who served us didn't offer my date another drink and sat a family of 5 or 6 right behind us on the lower deck when there were so many other tables that were available. We ordered the Chef's Salad and the Salt and Pepper wings . The highlight was the wings with ranch dressing. Meh. Don't know if I'll be back again.

The appetizers were bottomless so when they would get low she was there asking what else she could get us. The pearl ridge wild wings used to have a large bar inside but it seems they took that out and made more seating which makes the place look that much bigger. Service was atrocius and the food was fair. I've never had a rude server since Tao Restaurant in Las Vegas back in 2009, and this was the second time. I've never had a server shout at me with a frown on her face, saying "WHAT???" (it happened twice during our meal). I mean, come on, the music is loud, but don't yell at me from across the table with a frown. Also, do not say "Well as you can see, I've got my hands full!" when I ask for a refill politely. Also, do not walk past one of your three tables that you are waiting without looking down or making eye contact. It also looks bad when you are standing against the wall talking constantly with your co-worker instead of waiting on tables. Do not get the "endless" appetizers at this location as long as you have the waitress that we had, you will not get your money's worth, which makes me think this is Buffalo Wild Wing's ploy on cutting costs, which is a horrible idea, because destroying your brand by having poor service likes this warrants reviews like this. This was almost a two-star review until the service knocked it down into the dirt, especially since the last rude wait staff I've had was in 2009, which was 17 years ago. I am not generous with one-star reviews, so that should be revealing. Will not return to this location ever again.
