I understand Sid's have been in business for decades however they have horrible customer service. I would rate them no stars if possible. My husband and I walked in and three workers were just sitting around chatting and took them awhile to acknowledge us. We communicated that we were interested in carpet installation. The manager directed his associate (white woman)to assist us in the other room. We walked over to the other room where the carpet samples were and the associate just sat down at her desk. Very odd. We looked at the samples and had already picked one out. Another customer (old white man) walked in and the female associate got up from her desk and told us that she was going to help him out first. This was disappointing since we were obviously there first and she was directed by her manager to help us out in the first place. I was livid and told my husband that this is not right so we walked over to the manager to tell him what was going on however he was on the phone. After a few minutes, the associate walks over to us and tells us that she is ready to help us. I told her that we don't need her help. This female associate obviously did not want to assist us because of our race and our appearance. This is disappointing and disgusting. Just want to share my experience. Although bad, we ended up with an awesome experience with America's Finest Carpet Company and was able to secure carpet installation within a week for our home. read more

WORST experience ever with a carpet/flooring store. Purchased flooring for 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and hallways to be installed before we moved into the home. When we arrived at the home several days after the installation was supposedly done, we were shocked. The 2 toilets that were removed should have been re-installed, but they were not. Took 3 calls to try to get someone out to install the toilets and finally had to call our own handyman. Additionally, the new baseboards that were installed over the flooring were poorly cut and were not painted. And the walls that were freshly painted just a few days prior by our painter were marked up with dirty finger/hand prints. All in all, an awful experience and Sid's will never get my business again !!!! read more

very gentle shopping experience, low pressure from sales staff. Easy to take sample home. Slight snafu getting the measurements to the store but fast responce to my inquiry. Installers were great! very conscientious and helpful. Great job. i was replacing a vinyl kitchen floor I just had installed by Home Depot. The pattern actually gave me vertigo (not something I experienced with the one foot sq sample). The whole project with HD was a long disaster of mistakes at both the HD and installer ends. Installers spent more time on telling me what they wouldn't do rathr than helping me get the job done. No such problem with Sid's. read more

I bought a carpet from them to be installed by my own installer. A friendly salesperson, Giohanie, told me the carpet would be ready for pick up 9am the next day. At 9:30am I got a call from my installer saying that the carpet wasn't ready for pick up and not only that, the person he was dealing with; the manager, didn't know what carpet I had purchased. I asked to talk to the manager and to my surprise the manager said my order had been mistakenly shredded so he didn't have any information to go by, and also he needed my credit card number. At 10:30am my installer called me again, telling me that he had already wasted so much time waiting for the manager to figure out which carpet I had purchased and now the manager told him he would have to wait for the cutter to arrive to cut the carpet. I complaint to the manager for wasting everybodys time and that they shouldn't have told me the carpet would be ready at 9am if they didn't have anyone to cut the carpet. He said he would cut the carpet himself. To make a long story short, the manager miscut the carpet and when my installer rolled the carpet it was shorter than what I had ordered and paid for .... Came here to purchase a piece of carpet for our room about 10x11. The lady that helped us was very friendly. Other than that it was a bad experience. We payed full price for the carpet. I asked if they have a discount for active duty military (the store is across from the base). And she redirected me. Telling me that I'm already getting tons of discounts.... Then I never received any sort of confirmation. I called back about two weeks later and after tons of missed calls. They finally answered and let me k ow the carpet is there. Upon looking at our receipt we realize. We payed the full price for the carpet. Inch for inch.... And to top it off. We came to pick it up.. And she says she forgot the mattress pad. So now we have to wait for her to order and cut it now.... The people at Sids were great, after dealing with empire and them screwing up several days in a row, SIDS sales people were quickly there to help us pick carpet and was able to get it installed the next day,.....but sids installers were horrible they didn't vacuum after they were done and they were drinking on the job. And to top it off they left razor blades in our carpet, rip the padding off my poor dogs foot and cost us time at the vets office and 300 in vet bills. The installers are denying that they did it, even when we asked to see the blades they use and it was a match. They are just lucky it want my newly crawling baby girl!! read more

Even though we were only buying carpet for one room, he was helpful. Went to Carmel Mtn carpet sales store and she couldn't get us out fast enough once she knew it wasn't for the whole house. We had carpet picked out at Lowe's and had the house measured and we went in to order and pay for our carpet, but the service was so bad we walked out. More to the story but kind of long, so from there we went to Sid's on a friends recommendation. We were greeted immediately by Jon and all our questions were answered, we found carpet we liked, they came out and measured and we had it installed within a week. And, they saved us about $500 because they were able to do it without a seam, the other place said the room was too wide to do that even though their carpet and Sid's were the same width. Much happier with no seam and it was actually more expensive carpet than Lowe's, go figure...Will definitely use them again and recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you Sid's and Jon! Worst Experience Ever!! I needed new tile in my bathroom, installer was late, had me microwave his lunch, and he ruined a piece of my furniture in the process. After the tile was installed poorly, I needed to reschedule a time to have it repaired once again. No one showed for the repair and they lied and said they were knocking on my door, however I was home the entire time. Finally had the one tile fixed 11 days later. If you need new flooring, I suggest anywhere other than Sids!!!! read more

Pros: After paying a considerable amount for luxury vinyl planks for the entire home, the flooring itself feels great underfoot. Marsha is the best person they have there, answers the phone courteously, and relays messages promptly. Installers are very good. Cons: However, TERRIBLE response time in returning calls (2 months) to take care of planks popping up at the edges. If you are looking for support after the sale, good luck. We have been promised someone would come out for repair, and have yet to see him show up when Jim said he was going to schedule him. Seems to have trouble remembering if he has scheduled someone or not. Buyer beware - please look somewhere else. read more

I went to Sid's after a less than stellar experience elsewhere. I didn't intend to buy the carpet there - just wanted to see samples that they had that I couldn't seem to get from the other company I was originally working with. Ben was great - he knew I was working with another company (or so I thought) but showed me samples that fit what I was looking for anyway. A few days later when I realized that our deadline for completing the job was looming and the other company wasn't coming through for me - I went back to Sid's and told Johvanny exactly what I needed and when. He gave me a quote that was in line with what we had in our budget and that was competitive with what the other company was quoting. They were able to order and install the carpet within a week and it looks great. We are very happy with the carpet; the service we received from Ben, Johvanny and the installation team. read more

I took a diagram with measurements into the Miramar store and purchased carpet based on the estimate from those measurements. I fully understood that the installers would remeasure and my final price was based on those figures. The final was 32% higher than the estimate because of width of roll and waste. It seems to me that that could have been addressed in advance by looking at my diagram. The day after installation, I noticed a nearly full roll of postage stamps was missing which had been in plain site to the installers. I didn't make a big deal of it but did ask to be credited for the $40+ to replace them. After multiple contacts, and their initial response to make it right, there was no follow through on their part. I agree with another reviewer who said they have a way to go in the people department. I am pleased with the carpet itself and the installation of it. read more

Finally got a hold of the territory manager Craig who I had talked to in the beginning about sending me a check. He was completely rude and unprofessional, and he laughed at my wife. He told her " I don't understand why your so mad, everyone else is happy. The check has been sent. Have a nice day". Then he hung up on her. And I still haven't received the check. So if I don't hear from his boss Don P, Allan Ziman or Bob Wood I will be contacting the BBB and filing a complaint against them. read more

Shout out to Samson! We bought a new house and needed carpets put in before we moved. We met Samson and he was very helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. When installation day came, I was told they would be there between 7-8 am. However, I got a text at 7 stating that they are running late due to traffic (no problem). When 9am came around I texted them back to see if they were still coming and got a response that they were in front of my house. No they weren't. No one was in front of my house. Turns out, they went to the wrong address. I gave them the right address and they showed up 20 mins later. When they arrived, they did not have the carpet and said that they were there to demo the laminate. The problem is, we didn't need laminate demoed. Once he realized we didn't need demo, he just left. I immediately called Samson and he was on it! He was sincere, apologized for the mix up, and took ownership of fixing it asap! He was able to find another installer who could come out the next day, AND they are a commercial installers (how awesome is that!). The second installers showed up on time, prepared, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up after themselves. It just goes to show how important good customer service is! Samson could have responded in any number of ways, but he was able to fix the problem and keep this customers satisfaction at 5/5 read more

Fantastic service. Stephen took great care of us, from the time we order the carpet, to installation. We were under the gun to get out furniture moved in our new house, but we needed carpet first. We thought the existing carpet in our new house would be fine, but when we had it cleaned the stains did not come out. Stephen expedited our carpet deliver and installation. We had a problem when the installers came because our driveway was under 3 feet of dirt because of the remodel in the backyard. But Stephen and the installers worked together and were able to cut the carpet in my neighbors driveway. Rik at Sid's was beyond helpful. Dealing with a HOA is never easy or quick. Rik provided information for us to attempt to persuade them to allow us to change our flooring from carpet to laminate. This process took nearly seven months. Rik was available to us the whole time. In the end we had to stick with carpet but Sid's had a great selection and the carpet looks beautiful. We are so happy with our floors! We shopped around a lot for this purchase. We went with the Luxury Vinyl Planks by Coretec or USfloors. Sids gave us a great price and Marsha was very helpful and patient while we shopped for the perfect color with our 3 little ones. I appreciate the follow up call she gave a few days after. She gave us great customer service and even made sure our boys were comfortable while we went back and forth with colors that made it easier for us to take our time and choose. Ultimately it was a combination of great price and Marsha's customer service that sealed the deal for us. We only purchased materials because we installed it ourselves and she never tried to sell us on there installation. We also purchased the base boards here and are very happy with those too great price. They have a huge selection actually the best selection that we saw in LVP and we checked at least 8 other stores. The folks at Sids were very patient with all my questions. In the end I went with the Mohawk carpet. I ordered it and within a week it was installed. They rescheduled multiple times and they would not stick by their own estimate done by their own installer AFTER the installer measured our home. Make sure you get the estimate in writing AFTER your home is measured and make sure it is on letterhead and not a scrap of paper like we were given. This business has no integrity. read more

Terrible customer service. Terrible follow up. Johvanny sent out Darrel to take measurements to instal carpet in our rental. 5 days later I still haven't heard from anyone so I call to find out what's going on, Johvanny says he will call me right back with information on financing, 4 hours later I call because I hadn't heard from him Steve answers says he's with a customer and he will call me back. One hour later Johvanny calls me says I need to come in and fill out paper work. I really wish I would have know that 5 hours earlier since it was my day off. Today i get off work and call to let Steve know that I was on my way to fill out that paperwork he asks how long I will because he needs to be somewhere and they close up right at 6:00. He was extremely rude over the phone. I can't believe the owner of this place let's this kind of poor customer service go on. I'm going with Home Depot and paying more than sids offered but I'd rather deal with professionals than this headache. Do not go here. read more

I will start with "the" positive. They have nice people working there. Unfortunately they are terribly unorganized, fail to follow up, take incorrect measures, demo your current flooring before the new material arrives and do not bill you properly. When you initiate the follow up, the person you contact always has to talk to someone else typically because no one has done anything since the last time you chased them down. I had them install both carpet and luxury vinyl planks in five different rooms and I constantly knew more about what was going on with my project than the manager, installer and the sales guy combined. While one said my flooring material was in their warehouse,I knew it was still on its way across the country from the guy that orders the product, While the manager thinks the install is going fine, I have to inform him the installer had already canceled and still hadn't rescheduled. I was really disappointed when they had to modify their invoice because the job had to me modified due to their mistake in assessing the possibilities. Then they came back with incorrect measurements which increased the expected invoice considerably. Meanwhile they are asking for final payment and sending me final payment requests as if I'm a criminal. Of course the billing department has no idea the invoice was totally wrong until I informed them and forwarded emails from their own personnel. Later this mistake was validated and corrected after we scheduled and completed a post job measurement. I promptly made the final payment when I received the corrected invoice. All of the same people are surprisingly still there so I would think long and hard before hiring them for a job and if you hire them, plan to manage the whole process because they fail to do so. read more

We order over 2000sf carpet from Sid's carpet back in February and paid half of the deposit Two month went by and it is now April 28th, we still do not have our carpet installed. As matter of fact, the saleswoman Martha didn't even know if the carpet has been made or not! We called many times throughout the two months period and always getting brushed off without honest answer. It is always "it should be shipped soon and once we receive it we will schedule the installation right away". Well, we just called the saleswoman and got no answer, so we will try calling the corporate. We were afraid that if we cancelled the order, we have to start all over with the process. But, if I trust my intuition and not let others persuaded me a month ago when I didn't trust Sid's carpet can deliver their promise, I am sure Home Depot would have finished the job already. Stay away with Sid's carpet, I may have to take legal action against them next. Where is the 0 or negative star? read more
