They encourage purchasing their eye glasses -- got it. However, if you wish to purchase your eye glasses elsewhere they retain your Pupillary Distance (PD) number (two-digit millimeter measurement) from your prescription and charge $35 for this information. Mind you, this process takes them no more than 2 minutes and is part of your appointment regardless. And this number is part of MY PRESCRIPTION. This would be like your primary care provider retaining the dosage from your prescribed medication if you do not purchase from their pharmacy and charging you outside of your insurance coverage as an extra fee. This should be illegal or something. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

The same thing. This is bad business. If you're that busy simply ask for the customers phone number and give me a courtesy call back. It's rude to put me on hold in the middle of me talking and for that I don't care to use your center for business. So if you're looking for a place that keeps you on hold and keeps putting you on hold when you call this is the place for you.

We can only guess at the insurance, but what it looks like they billed does not have a dependent eye care program for retirees. Very odd and suspicious on FOA's part. I paid the bill, but I would never recommend them to anyone. Billing is obviously scary and from what I can remember regarding the eye-care for our kids, it was only fair to average. Do yourself a favor and go to My Eye Dr, service is exceptional and insurance, billing, and payments are handled before you walk out the door. No surprises

He explains everything in such detail for you to understand and not get lost in medical terminology. I was a bit nervous about getting my eyes dilated due to in the past I would get a massive migraine afterwards and let him know that as well. With that being said he use a far less percentage and made sure through out the whole appointment if I was okay and I was! No migraine at all. My son was also nervous about getting drops in his eyes due to him not ever having drops in his eyes before and again Dr. Kevin talked to him and made him laugh and my son says "that wasn't bad at all!" I'll continue to recommend Dr.Kevin. For not only being caring and compassionate, but really making you feel as you matter and your just not "just another patient"

What's concerning is that this only happened after I specifically asked them to review my scans again. Had I not pushed for a second review, I genuinely worry they may have proceeded with surgery despite the risks. I also requested a direct explanation from the doctor and never received one. Instead, I had to repeatedly call the office just to get basic answers and speak with someone knowledgeable. My impression is that the process felt far more focused on moving patients through surgery than on patient safety and communication. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a procedure here to ask detailed questions, seek a second opinion, and carefully review whether they are truly a good candidate before moving forward. I also felt the recovery expectations were presented in a way that understated how difficult and lengthy recovery can actually be.
