As she needed a car desperately because her spouse had just started a job n needed transportation. They sold her that Ford Fusion they are still posting on the page n I do t know how if they are supposed to be fixing it in the shop . That same night she finished paper work she drove it home the next day she drove it to get full coverage insurance n it left her stranded with her 2 month old baby n her sisters 1 week old baby they picked it up took it to shop the following day they said it was fixed as she went to door dash to make her some extra money it left her standEd again right on culebra n they said she had to wait for them to pick it up till monday . I purchased a vehicle from Sierra Motors. I have never ever had such an unpleasant, dishonest, unprofessional experience in buying anything. These guys give the stereotype of a used cars salesman a whole new life. I first contacted one of their sales guys over the phone. I was told that for $2600 down and $300 a month I could get the car I was looking at financed on their lot. I sent my girlfriend to pick up the car with the money. They insisted it had to be put in her name because I couldn`t be present due to work. I agreed to that, it wasn`t a big deal to me. But when I get home from work, this is where everything flips. They financed the vehicle thru a bank, not "on lot financing." For those who aren`t as experienced in the used car industry as I am, I will explain the difference. The bank charges an outrageous amount of money for interest and financing fees for purchasing a used vehicle. In this particular case, $2600 in financing fees, as well as 18.9% APR, which comes out to a total cost of the vehicle of almost $20,000 by the time the vehicle is paid off at current payment $209 biweekly (every 2 weeks). The original asking price of the vehicle was just under $10,900. The actual value of the vehicle, in good running condition (well get to that part) is actually $8767 and an average monthly payment would be $175\month according to KBB.com Vs. On lot financing in most cases is a certain amount down, and a certain amount due monthly with no interest, the lot charges a little more than the car is worth to begin with to cover their losses. This was grossly misrepresented at the time the paperwork was signed. They told her it was them financing the vehicle, not a 3rd party bank. The financing fees and interest rate were never mentioned. They lied to the young girl to get her to sign the paperwork, even knowing it was somebody else's money. On top of that, the vehicle had several issues. It leaked water, burnt oil, several electrical shorts, heated seats that you couldn`t turn off, an orange peel looking paint job that immediately started peeling as they appeared to have just sprayed over the original paint job with no cleaning or sanding first. As well as a fuel pump that completely stopped working within a few months. We brought the mechanical issues to their attention within 30 days of buying the vehicle. Even tho the vehicle supposedly came with a warranty I was stuck paying THEIR automotive shop over $900 in repairs. It was then and there that the financing issues were first brought to light. Albert offered to defer the current past due payments and add it to the end of our loan after it sat in their shop for a month. I then started to question the financing situation as I myself was never given a copy of the loan agreement. At first, Albert told me it was financed thru them. Then he said it was thru a bank. After I questioned what bank he pulled up the paperwork, put me on hold, and after a brief moment came back and told me the name of the bank on the contract. So I start asking specific questions about the terms of the loan I didn't know we even had. Albert had absolutely no knowledge of the terms of our loan, even looking directly at the paperwork. First, he said there was no interest, then that there was an annual interest on the loan. I asked him what our APR was, And Albert didn't know what an APR was. I asked him how much of my payments were going towards the interest and how much of it was going to the principal of the loan. Albert didn't know. All Albert knows is that after several months of making payments I still owe more than the price agreed upon and that if I don't continue to pay more than twice what the vehicle is worth, that they will repossess the vehicle and send me a 1099C Form and put it on our credit, auction off the vehicle and turn us over to collections for the remaining balance on the loan. I don't know that this company broke any laws in the process of selling me this car, that is currently broke down not running at all. But I do know they willingly and knowingly took advantage of a young girl. Lied to her about what she was signing. Lied to me on the phone about the terms of the sale. And that now we are 100% Stuck paying almost $20,000 on a car that's probably not even worth $5000. And it doesn't even currently run. They accepted no liability for repairing the vehicle mechanically immediately after selling the vehicle. And they accepted no liability for misrepresenting the vehicle, the sale, or the terms of financing to either of us. To whom this may concern, Good afternoon my name is Kayomi Tschetter I am trying to contact San Antonio news to report Sierra Motors. They sold me a car on Feb 23 2018. I test drove it but only on the axis road being that my daughter did not have a car seat. So I wasnt able to fully rest drive on the high way. On the way home the car ran out of gas the same day I got it the gas gage wasn't working properly. I asked about the car facts he showed them to me and stated that if the previous owners did not have coverage that the accidents weren't reported so they aren't on there. I then called the next day Feb 24 and spoke with Leo a sales rep and he said to bring it in on Monday at 8 am. Ok so I then I brought the car on Monday Feb 26 and Spoke with a lady who told me the mechanics called in and told me to come back on Wednesday. Total waste of gas and time.So I came back on Wednesday feb 28th and spoke with John he then asked what our concerns where and we informedA him everything that was wrong the alignment, gas gage, tire shields, hail damage, front bumper was screwed on, rims are rusted and it stutters when switching gears. John then took it for a drive him self, when he returned he then said he understands our concerns and they can fix the car but it would take a while, if we would like to trade vehicles and told us they were getting new cars the following day if we were ok with coming back in we were okay with it giving them another chance. So my girlfriend went home once again and drove back up here on March 1st trying to pick another car. All the cars she test drove was basically the same thing alignment was off. Everything. So John stated that they were getting more cars tomorrow which is March 2nd same thing girlfriend comes back up here and not satisfied. She then informs them that we would like our money back being that we gave them opportunity after opportunity. He stated that I would have to be here to get the money back. At this moment I was at work. So my girlfriend came to pick me up and bring me back the same day March 2 and when we got here they said the owner had left for the day and he is the only one that can cancel and give us our money back. So he told us to return on Monday March 5th which is today and I put $2000 down on this car and now they are telling me they can only return $1500 I've had the car for one week. I'm not satisfied. He is trying to take my money after I called them the day after. He said I put 1300 miles on the car in one week but I wouldn't have if they woulda just took there piece of crap back when I wanted my money back in the first place. I want to take these people down. The people at Sierra acceptance need a reality check and to wake up. They're extremely rude, never follow through and always blame the owner. The owner rights back a generic response and does nothing but continue to lie to people on here. Nothing gets followed through, and I can't wait for the audit the BBB will give you all. The owner must be a complete joke and never follows through on anything apparently. (The words from your employees) We've been trying for over a month to get a refund back and our title sent to new lien holder. Prior to that we would call in and could never be given a correct payoff from someone who is suppose to be a financial lender, they don't even know what a per diem is. The payoff would vary $100+ dollars a day and they would have no explanation for it, other than "that's what the system says" Now we've been waiting for a refund and for our new lien holder to be paid off, and no one can seem to get their shit together. Please do not finance with them, go to a credit union, or get a friend or family to co-sign if you have rough credit, I urge you no matter how inticing things sound, don't get sucked in to their financing. Two weeks later it broke again, I asked if I could have something reliable because this vehicle kept breaking they said there was nothing they could do about it so I was pretty much screwed and had to fix it myself all six times that it broke down, the staff is very unprofessional and rude, they seem like they care but after you sign that contract they don't give a shit! i got a car from the san antonio texas sierra motors, and i am so dissapointed that i even had to use them. No repairs were done to the vehicle even after i brought it back to them within the 30 days i first bought it. Ibut this is the crazy part. This is military town, and they teach you to take care of your people, especially if your people take care of you. I have been a customer with sierra for 3 and a half years. I recently got a NEW loan with them, before i got promoted. I got my promotion, and it required me to drive an hour and a half both ways to and from work everyday. Gas is killing me, and so is the high note, but i wouldnt care about the note if gas was lower, but thats not a sierra problem. I call them to see if they could put me into a smaller vehicle since im driving this long period of time, and i was told, "there is nothing that we can do for you". Correct me if im wrong, but if im givin a new loan, im still paying sierra motors, so i dont see why they couldnt put me into something smaller. The reasoning i got was "your balance on ur existing loan is too high for us to work with". YALL ISSUED ME THE DAMN CAR". Maybe its just my military background and beliefs that make me this way, but if i have a satisfied customer who hasnt complained at all about the shitty service that u provide, and the customer pays his bill on time every time its due, hands down, then as an owner, or even a salesman, im going to try every thing i can to get this person a new vehicle. Why do u ask???. Because this person is a loyal customer that NEEDS your help, and has a great history with your company. Maybe they need to hire some veterans at the san antonio branches, because this is piss poor and unacceptable.
