12oz + steak with two sides of your choice along with Chips & Salsa

You may not always think of heading to a local Mexican restaurant for a steak dinner so I wanted to share my experience. First of all, the pricing ($21 special) for the amount of food you receive is Amazing! I personally always go home with leftovers for the next day's meals. Second, the perfection of flavor and the size of the steak! Third goes out to the service! The staff have all been amazing every time I have eaten here. They're quick, attentive, wonderful at making suggestions on house specialties as well as their specials. Fourth would be a big one for any Mexican cuisine and steak lover, you can have a steak dinner along with complimentary Chips & Salsa!!! Does it get any better than that?!?! If I were to give any one suggestion, it would be to swap out the Pepsi products for Coke but that's just a personal preference.

Excellent food, excellent service, truly enjoyed my food and will be back soon.stoppe by this place in Arab Alabama and ordered some food for myself and also a doctor's office of mine. They did a great job on the food and getting it ready on time. The only reason this is a 4 star review instead of a 5 star is because I thought it was a bit audacious to charge a $5 service fee. The food should be what it is and then let me tip you what I want based on the service given. I did tip by the way, but $5-$10 less than normal because of your service fee

This place came highly recommended, but all recommendations were for steak, but I went on National Burrito Day, so steak was not to be. I read some really good reviews, and I am not sure why they are rated so high. Make no mistake, this place is TexMex, NOT Mexican. I always start with the non-food thoughts, so that is where I will start. I was seated very quickly, by a really friendly staff. The dining area was clean, and I mean, REALLY noticeably spic and span. I was immediately brought chips (from a bag) and salsa (not chunky and likely from a gallon sized plastic container). I requested hot salsa and was brought something marginally more spicy, and nary a chunk in sight. Unlike most Mexican (or TexMex) places, not all combo plates come with refried beans and rice, my platter of 1 beef burrito, one enchilada, and a tamale did not. The food was completely pedestrian, nothing at all special - the filling was bland and poorly spiced. I dumped some of the "hot" salsa on everything to get some flavor. It wasn't' really bad, but no more special than the frozen enchilada I get at the grocery store. I likely will not even bother to try them again for their signature steaks. Doing to a ribeye what they did to a burrito would be criminal.

People usually think of Sierra's Mexicanisimo as a Mexican Restaurant, but I assure you that it's more than that. Not only do Alex and his staff do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere, but they also have steaks, pork chops, and shrimp that are better than any steakhouse in North Alabama. I recently brought some out of town relatives and when I introduced them to Alex he decided to give us a quick tour of the kitchen and walk ins. We were both quite impressed with the quality of the food we saw. Lots of fresh and organic produce, USDA Prime steaks being cut by hand, and a giant vat of that delicious cheese dip. The hospitality we were shown really amazed my guest and I had to assure him that I've been treated the same way for the last 23 years, as have most everyone who has dined here. Alex, Crystal, and the rest of the gang treat you like family and really seem to mean it when they greet you with that, "Welcome Home!"

We are always willing to eat at a Mexican restaurant and this is another restaurant we will eat at. The queso and chips were really good and so was the dessert. She told us that they had several people ask for the earlier in the day. She suggested calling around 11am or showing up at that time to ensure we got some. We didn't get there until 7pm, so that's on us. We still ate in the restaurant because my family has had the chorizo street tacos from when they were located in the food truck and raved about them. My wife got the chorizo street tacos and I got nacho supremos, combination, fully loaded. I was absolutely stuffed after eating those and the complimentary chips and salsa and she loved her street tacos! The service was excellent! The food came out quick, was cooked just right, and tasted wonderful. I did have a couple margaritas and they were really good. We'll definitely be back here!!

Upon arrival, I marveled at the beautiful decor and how fast we were greeted and seated. Our server Joshua, was attentive and quickly placed our drink orders. The complimentary salsa was some of the best I've had. The salsa was chilled perfectly and very fresh. The veggies were perfectly chopped and crunchy just how I like it. My virgin daiquiri was great as well and was very eye-pleasing. After placing our food order, it did not take long to come out. Both of us agreed that our food was pretty good overall. My friend wasn't overly impressed. He said it wasn't anything to write home about. My quesadilla was a little...watery...not sure if it was from the meat or the veggies. I've had better to be honest. But overall, I would definitely visit here again to try another dish. If you're in the area, check out Julia's Mexican Restaurant.

They have a 11-3 lunch special. We were seated at 2:40, got our drinks, and needed a minute due to the kiddy being unsure of what she wanted. It took the waitress (on purpose? I'm not sure) a minute to get back to our table. It wasn't because they were busy. We ordered off the lunch menu. My bill reflected dinner prices. Speaking to the manager, he told me we ordered after 3. I told him that was not our fault, since we had been seated since 2:40. He did change the bill to reflect lunch menu prices, but only after making the snide comment we got dinner-size portions. I replied that was also not our fault. I almost sent the chips back when we sat down, as they were stale, but did not want to be that person. Our entrees were ok, but not anything we couldn't get elsewhere. The interior of the restaurant has really deteriorated. There were wobbly ceiling fans, and it was muggy and unpleasant temperature-wise. This was a very disappointing visit. I really hate the restaurant has taken such a nose dive because we used to always look forward to visiting. I work too hard for my money, however, to not enjoy everything about a meal out with my family. There are too many options in the area to accept a subpar experience.

They must have been running low on the grilled chicken, or didn't want to make any fresh, if they were out. Whoever made my order used those dried out crispy chicken strips, instead of the grilled chicken. They were horrible! I suspect they had plenty of those dried out crispy chicken fingers they wanted to get rid of, so they used them in my tacos. Taco Bell, do better! I have no idea why they are serving those stupid crispy chicken strips anyway. If I wanted chicken like that, I would go next-door to the restaurant that specializes in them. They would be fresh, unlike your dried out garbage!

We had to unwrap them, and then try and unroll them and see what was inside. In the process of unrolling them you can image the damage to the soft burrito wraps. All we could see was a mushy mess of beans and we never could really figure out which was which. We found one with no onions that my wife ordered, she hates onions. Otherwise we had no idea what were eating or if they had even got our order right. Need some kind of markings on the wrappers to identify what is inside, sounds simple to me.
