Owner is knowledgeable and genuine about her love of the craft, and was able to help us pick out two plants to take home.

From the entrance to the back door, the space has been meticulously curated to be welcoming, refreshing, and a place of peace & refuge. I love the variety of foliage available, and was impressed by the education that the staff offered on each of the plants available for sale. One of my favorite aspects of this shop is the partnership with local businesses, where makers can display and sell their wares in a "pass through" fashion, with all proceeds going to the small business owners. Farmscape did an awesome job on my backyard garden project!!…read more Lara came all the way to Mountain View and spent a whole hour discussing the project with me. She was passionate about the project and very transparent about what she believes is best practice for backyard gardening. We spent several weeks after our initial consultation discussing the project and budget, and Lara was extremely patient with my questions, ideas, and changes. She also made every effort to explain why certain things should be this way(I tried to maximize planting space by adding a lot of raised beds with narrow paths, but it's important to mind the aesthetics because it's in your backyard not an actual farm & pay attention to your comfort level when moving around in the garden). After we agreed on start date, the crew came and completed the project within a week. They were also super patient and always willing to stop to answer questions or make minor adjustments. We absolutely love the end result and can't wait to schedule a Fall consultation with Farmscape to plan for Fall! Also, whatever soil they used I'd like some more, my veggies are growing SO fast.

She was kind to let me take a photo. She's holding her favorite plants, polka-dotted beauties that look surreal and painted. She spoke highly of Jessica the owner who apparently also designed the lovely logo; while I haven't met her, the selection of plants here is stellar. I excitedly left with three heart plants, two variegated, which is a rare treat for Hoyas. The leaves are glossy and/or healthy on all of the unique plants here. I was looking for a little gift for my friend who was getting married that weekend. It happened to be the day before Valentine's Day, so they were fully stocked with beautiful dried flower bouquets by Idlewild Floral. I decided to scoop one up with a card and it was the sweetest gift. I feel the prices are very fair (especially for CA) as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I wasn't traveling, I would have definitely gotten some goodies for myself, too!
