    Crabby Melt sandwich
    Elaine F.

I ate lunch at Signatures today with a friend. She lives nearby but had never eaten there before. Upon entering, we were impressed with the bright space. We were given a table where we could look out over the golf course. Our server, Rachel, was extremely friendly. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the Crabby Melt. Both sandwiches were tasty. The fries were very good, and there was a huge pile of them. The food came out fairly promptly. After that, more tables were filling up and it was harder to flag down our server. We decided to pass on dessert, but my friend ordered a cup of coffee. That would have been the obvious time to bring the check. However, although we waved at the server several times (she was in the other room chatting with patrons) it took forever to get the check. As soon as we got the bill, my friend gave her cash. She disappeared and was gone again for another long stretch. By the time we got change and were able to leave, the memory of the tasty food had mostly disappeared. So my rating would actually be about 3.5 stars. It definitely started out as 4, but keeping happy patrons waiting too long at the end tarnished the experience. So we enjoyed the lunch but the service still needs a bit of work.

Un exploded in your mouth amazing dish.

The food is always awesome at all locations. The service is on point always when we go. The restaurant is is gorgeous at Signature and 38 degrees the view is like no other.

But, this is the second time we have been there when the smoke coming from the kitchen was unpleasant and burned our eyes. I really wish they would improve their exhaust system, or add some walls around the kitchen. Yes, it is fun to see the chef and culinary team in action, but the smoke can be overwhelming and could be eliminated with walls and double doors. It is unfortunate to have a wonderful meal charred by poor exhaust.

The Chef looks familiar, I think I tasted his food before at one of the Celebrity Chefs Brunches for Meals on Wheels. I remember it being fantastic. There is outside dining but I booked inside as we weren't sure how warm it would be in May. It turned out to be a cold and windy weekend so we were very glad to be inside, plus the outside tables have a view of the highway. What a cute little restaurant inside; it is very tiny. We were crammed into a table in the corner. It was difficult to get past the other diners at their tables, and we could hear all the conversations around us. Every table was packed, I can't imagine what it's like in this room during the busy summer. Noelle was our server and she was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. She described the homemade bread service to us, and we ordered 2 Coastalpolitans which were made with Tito's Vodka, lime, soju, St. Germaine, and cranberry. They were sweet, and tart, and bright, and delicious. We decided on crab toast instead of the bread, and Noelle said we made the right choice. Wow, she was correct. The crab toast blew us away. It was chunks of crab on fluffy, crispy milk bread with pickled scallions, radish, lemon aioli, kelp powder, and lime. So beautiful and so delectable! RJ ordered the Pork Chop, which Noelle said One Coastal is known for, and I ordered the NJ Day Boat Scallops. We had no words. We sat there and quietly enjoyed every bite while listening to the surrounding tables, and knew we found a maybe not so hidden gem. My scallops were delicate and buttery and sweet, and melted in my mouth. RJ said his pork chop was tender and juicy, and the best he ever had. That is saying something. We finished with bread pudding because who doesn't love a good bread pudding, and we like to try it whenever we see one that looks interesting. It was salty and sweet and just so perfect. What One Coastal lacks in space and view, it makes up for with food and service. What a delightful place, and Noelle was a pleasure and a joy. We will definitely return to try all the other things and be lucky to sit anywhere inside or out.

Six years later we still make it a point to stop in at least once (but typically multiple times) on our annual Selbyville vacation. I was here just once this year. I met my dad and uncle (who visited way too many times to count) after fishing. The bartender had a Crush on the bar waiting for me when I arrived. I ordered Wings, and since it was happy hour, $1 Chicken tacos. Both the wings and tacos were great, especially the tacos for $1 each. The wings were your classic Buffalo Wings; well done & crispy. Chicken tacos were moist and flavorful, and were served with onions, cilantro, radish, and lime. This wasn't the first time I've had Yellowfins Wings (we get them nearly every time we come, they're that good) but it was the first time I've had their happy hour tacos. Both my mom and I recommend them and would definitely order again. Other must orders are the cheesesteaks and the tuna nachos!! One of the things we love most about Yellowfins is the small town, local vibe. There are always familiar faces at the bar every time we visit, year after year. Since it's tucked into a small shopping center a little farther inland compared to many other local bars & establishments, it would be easy to drive right past it--but don't. If you've never been, it's absolutely worth the stop. The fact that we keep coming back year after year, along with so many regulars, says everything you need to know.

I ordered a special featuring sea scallops with succotash (corn and green beans) and grit cakes--three gigantic ones! The scallops were beautifully cooked and practically melted like butter. The flavors were light and delicate, which really let the scallops shine. The portion was generous, too. I couldn't even finish one of the grit cakes, but I definitely made sure to eat my fill of the corn and scallops! My other friend had the crab cake dinner and absolutely loved it as well. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, which unfortunately was pretty mediocre. The tuna just didn't have much flavor and tasted a bit "meh." The service was probably the biggest disappointment. Our server seemed visibly frustrated and rolled her eyes several times, which I didn't particularly appreciate. The whole staff seemed a little off when we arrived, almost like they had just come out of a rough staff meeting and were already bracing themselves for the mid-morning rush. I'd absolutely come back because I loved the atmosphere and there are clearly some really great dishes on the menu, but I do think there's room for improvement when it comes to both the food and the service. Jordan noticed us first and came over to say hello and share an update, and Cowan followed shortly after to do the same. I enjoyed two Sazeracs on the rocks for $10 each; unique to Hooked, this iconic New Orleans cocktail is a spirit-forward blend of Elijah Craig rye whiskey, aromatic bitters, a sugar cube, and an absinthe rinse, finished with a bright lemon twist. We also shared the happy hour wood-fired grilled oysters Reggiano with butter, garlic, blackening parmesan cheese, and salt for $19, though they tasted very salty. Additionally, I had the happy hour lobster roll on a toasted buttered brioche roll for $21, substituting the french fries with a side of coleslaw. It tasted quite similar to the lobster roll at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. I finished my meal with a happy hour draft Evo Lot 3 beer for $6. Our bartender, Jon L., served us very well throughout the visit. The total bill was $128 excluding gratuity, which featured a 3% credit card surcharge of $3.57. After applying a $50 gift letter discount, the final bill was reduced down to $81. We all agreed that we will certainly return to visit Jordan and Cowan again.
