First important note---Signatures is NOT just for residents of Bayside and if you are in the area for a summer vacation week it is worth checking out. We had a group of 8 who reserved a table before we headed over to the Freeman Arts Pavilion for a concert. The facility is clean and bright with window views just about everywhere and has both a large bar area as well as a roomy dining area. Great selection of wines and specialty martinis---our group tried many and there were no complaints! Nice size pours and creative presentations for the martinis. Dinner options run from salads and burgers to traditional locally focused entrees and our group had a little of each---nobody went to the concert hungry! Personally had the sirloin with mashed potatoes, Brussels, and a savory demi-glaze. Service was exceptional and attentive to our larger group and everyone else there for dinner. read more

Great server! Very attentive. Burgers were good but mine had pieces of something hard in it. Nachos were good. Crab dip was pitiful tiny half a cup for $20. Crab cakes weren't good. Fishy and small. Cheesesteak was not filled. We hung at the bar after dinner and my buddy ordered a cheesesteak and it was filled. So major inconsistency. I'd like to see this place get better again. I ate lunch at Signatures today with a friend. She lives nearby but had never eaten there before. Upon entering, we were impressed with the bright space. We were given a table where we could look out over the golf course. Our server, Rachel, was extremely friendly. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the Crabby Melt. Both sandwiches were tasty. The fries were very good, and there was a huge pile of them. The food came out fairly promptly. After that, more tables were filling up and it was harder to flag down our server. We decided to pass on dessert, but my friend ordered a cup of coffee. That would have been the obvious time to bring the check. However, although we waved at the server several times (she was in the other room chatting with patrons) it took forever to get the check. As soon as we got the bill, my friend gave her cash. She disappeared and was gone again for another long stretch. By the time we got change and were able to leave, the memory of the tasty food had mostly disappeared. So my rating would actually be about 3.5 stars. It definitely started out as 4, but keeping happy patrons waiting too long at the end tarnished the experience. So we enjoyed the lunch but the service still needs a bit of work. read more

Just visited the signature at bayside and I have to say I'm disappointed. Walked in, and told the hostess I wanted to be seated outside. We got sat outside, 10 minutes have gone by and still nobody has come up to us. Not a single server came outside, no water or anything. We then just got up and left. OK, let's start with a positive - Jimmy at the outside bar did a really good job. Attentive & good drinks... Now the food... We split the Italian sandwich & the crab pretzel- maybe the pretzel comes from Sysco, so that would explain the quality of the product. The crab meat was not a local product, maybe the tourists buy that flavor, but no one local would & I would never order this app again... (If you're going to have a crab product, why not use LOCAL crab meat?) The Italian, looks like it would be good, but who's idea was it to put something sweet on it? I have no idea what all these one star reviews are saying. Signatures at Bayside is one of the best restaurants in all of Delaware. Laci, our server, the nicest human being I've ever met. Her joyful attitude and facial expressions really made a difference while ordering. The restaurant is very modern and small like a brand new home when you first walk in. The food, absolutely amazing. I ordered the hole in one burger which was served with a lifetime supply of crispy french fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and the cheese was excellent. I read this place five stars and will definitely be back. Once again, I have no idea what everyone this place one star was thinking, it is definitely not the case. read more

This was our first time here. We met our two friends here for lunch. The place was packed, when we arrived. We had to wait 10 minutes for a high top table for four to become available. Our high top was in the bar area. I started with their pomegranate fizz cocktail for $10. I also enjoyed their lunch special, namely the pulled pork Mac N Cheese with slow cooked smoked BBQ pulled pork, diced tomato, roasted jalapeno, scallions topped with corn breadcrumbs for $19. The quantity of Mac N Cheese was adequate for lunch. My only recommendation is to add more pulled pork to this entree even if it means to reduce the amount of Mac N Cheese pasta or to increase the price to more than $19. I recommend they should increase the amount of pulled pork and reduce the amount of Mac N Cheese. Retiree Mark, who works on Mondays and Tuesdays accommodated our table very nicely. Mark was very knowledgeable regarding the menu as well as our specific revisions to their cocktails and lunch entrees. My total bill for both of us was $68 excluding gratuity. read more

The food here is delicious! Great ambiance, had a perfect huge table for our 12 person group to sit at without even pulling anything together. Service was great as well. I ordered the wedge salad without bacon and it was HUGE - in most places you get one side of the lettuce but here you get the whole head! I didn't realize it would be so big so I also ordered the cauliflower tacos - and I'm glad I did because they were bangin! Great flavors, presentation, really excellent. Our newly hired server (Sophie I think) was fabulous!! I felt so sorry that she had to continue to tell us that they had sold out of items. Myself as well as our guests were so dissatisfied with the lack of food that this restaurant was out of once again! I have planned birthday parties, retirement parties and lunches with friends to almost ALWAYS have the same problems! My husband and I were once again disappointed on Sunday evening when we invited friends to join us in the community(Bayside) where we live. I have to say this is a consistently solid showing and a great option within Bayside. We have come here with small abs big parties for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Staff is attentive and professional. The facility is beautiful and inviting. Dinner specials are well executed. And many in our family agree on the burger - high quality and a go to. I have had a salad with protein added and it was high quality. Also fish tacos for lunch hit the spot. Bartenders are super friendly as well. Service was attentive Food was good, the appetizers could have been better. Bang bang shrimp were not crispy seemed maybe they were sitting in the sauce too long? Tasted ok Crab wontons were super hard to chew. Covid safety was good, tables spaced appropriately. Scallops were cooked perfect, risotto was a little strange and lacked flavor. If crowded, be ready for it to be loud in the bar area. I found myself screaming at my guests sitting across from me so they could hear me. I live in Bayside and am a golf member so I want Signatures to succeed and be good. it's not, something always goes wrong. The food is mediocre the service spotty, and the management never seems to care. In my ten years of owning a home here, there was only one time that things seem to run well, and the food was decent. That was seven years ago when it was the Cove. since then just one bad F&B manager after another. We were there tonight, just horrible, under cooked food, wedge salad they forgot to put the cheese on, crab pretzel that was ice cold in the middl, sent back, they brought a second order, that was just as cold as the first, we stopped at that point. I'm done with them, except a drink at the bar after golf. I really wish they would just lease it to the SODEL company and have a real restaurant. read more

Drinks are good, and fairly priced. We got the Chicken appetizer was okay. Chicken was a little dry but the peanut sauce made up for it. Entrees were okay. We ordered the club and the tuna. Tuna when asked for rare came out cold as a bone. Temp was nowhere near what it takes to get that nice outer crisp when they cooked it. For $28, I would expect that they have it close to perfect-- not all the way, but closer than that. Being a local, I would not recommend this spot. Huge dining area, lots of tourists. We had a family of ~10 with two crying toddlers next to us. Wife had to ask the mom to take the kids outside it was so loud. If you're looking for a romantic, quiet, spot with decent quinine, this is not the spot. read more

We have been to Signatures 4 times. The first was an excellent experience with the food, the service, the ambiance-we couldn't wait to go back. The second visit was terrible (even the ambiance felt unwelcoming) We figured it may have just been a bad day so we went again hoping for a repeat of our first visit. Unfortunately, it was in line with our second. So, we wrote it off completely. Then, we saw the ad for the Crab Cake "Flight" What a cool idea. I love tasting different versions of things and then getting to vote-how cool is that? Despite our negative experiences we decided it was worth another visit to try the flight. Well, the first problem was that despite it being more than 15 minutes past opening time, the places was a ghost town- crickets...It took a good 5 minutes of wandering around looking in offices to find someone to seat us. The menus did not mention the flight and we were left once again alone... When we read what was on the menu, we decided to leave (despite the allure-perhaps-of crab cakes) There are some things on a menu that just tell you this is not the place you want to be and here is what drove us away: French Onion Soup with a vegan broth topped with swiss cheese. (huh???) Is this chef even trained??? The beauty of French Onion Soup is first of all the onions caramelized in butter then simmered for hours in a deeply rich beef broth. And why would a vegan want a soup topped with cheese? This menu item is a turn off to both ends of the customer spectrum Secondly, a salad was listed as a "Wedge" with Romaine. Romaine doesn't have a wedge. That is Iceberg. After deciding that there must be a new chef who didn't have a clue, we left... what a shame! (the second star is for the lovely view) read more

This place has an awesome chef named Joey and a very inexperienced chef named Beth, now Beth decides to continue serving food whilst there is a drain bursting covering the floor with sewage. And I was told by her to continue serving food, I've contacted the health department on this subject as it is a health code violation, and I quit my job because of this. It is my duty as a chef to inform you that the chefs here do not take the health department seriously and that risks YOU as the customers. Waitress was too you to serve it. Ordered salads and two entrees. Brought the entire when I was done and my wife was still eating salad. Sent it back. We went to this place with seriously low expectations. Almost every other golf course restaurant we've been to has had terrible food. So, we were amazed at how skilled the kitchen staff is here. Before I proceed, I want to explain my ratings since I was criticized by fellow Yelper Scott C for having too many 5 star reviews. I do not use Yelp like a Michelin system. I use it to let fellow Yelpers know where they can get really good food and a nice experience. And in this time of Covid, where restaurants are struggling, I have chosen to only write about positive experiences. (unless there is a something especially egregious) I think it is terribly unfair to write a 1 star review because a couple of employees are being jerks and not wearing masks. It would be far kinder to bring this kind of thing to the attention of management. Then if it is not addressed, a bad rating makes sense. These Yelp reviews are so important to the restaurant industry now. And they continue to impact their score forever. I just want to reserve a low rating for those places that are not "trying." And most of the places we've been to in our new home of Ocean City are doing a magnificent job. And to segue that to Signatures, their waitress was overwhelmed with the crowd, so Jimmy, the bartender, stepped in to wait on us. He was awesome-friendly, helpful, informative. His drinks were delicious too... The Popcorn Shrimp appetizer was fantastic. The Salmon BLT was the best we've ever had. The sweet potato fries were the best we've ever had. And while the pulled pork sandwich was tasty, I would recommend asking for additional bbq sauce on the side as it was a bit dry. All in all, a great meal, in a nice restaurant overlooking the golf course. And I'm not going to apologize for my high reviews anymore (at least not until things get back to "normal") read more

I've been to the new signatures at Bayside a few times since it opened, always eating at the outdoor bar. I have been happy with the food, especially the crab cake sandwich and many of the appetizers- most recently, wontons, steak and cheese egg rolls- both delicious. Family member ordered tacos and were happy. What I consistently find disappointing is the service. I know they are short-staffed during Covid but it seems that it could be better. For example, on our last visit the day after Memorial Day, ( and after the big relaxation of Covid recommendations in the state), my family of 5 adults and a toddler went for lunch. We continue to only eat outside at restaurants. When we arrived, it took a long time for my husband to find someone to seat us. When he did, she sat us at a small table for our party and the table was so rocky, it was practically falling over. We asked if we could put two tables together and were told no, even though there was only 1 other table occupied on the entire patio and not in our section. She never offered a high chair- my husband had to go in and get one. It took a long time for someone to take drink orders and then to bring the drinks- okay, short-staffed, we understood. Fortunately our food came out quickly. I recommend going for the food, although I've heard that sandwiches and bar food can only be ordered outside or when seated at the bar. I can't verify if that's true. But, I expect better service from a Bayside restaurant. read more
