We received a call from Kevin (subject of our review) of Signet Home Inspections LLC requesting a call back regarding the negative experience we had with his service. He believes that all the items that he missed (according to us) weren't: that if we would re-read the review we would see that he had noted all the problems that (later) we had to fix. We did read his inspection report. And, the report mentioned nothing about the problems that surfaced after we bought the property (e.g. no hot water, water treatment system failing resulting in shower heads that were blocked/inoperable, a furnace that died the first time we used it, 45 failed windows, refrigerator condenser failing, dishwasher inoperable, dry rot that was obvious to an untrained eye). These are problems that any contractor with five years of experience would have tested for and been honest about reporting. We stand by our review. We hope it has provided a public service to other buyers. This company was not reputable for us. And (so far) we have incurred over $70K replacing/repairing appliances and dry rot, all of which would have been noticed by any building inspector with expertise. We hope that other home buyers in Grass Valley will not have to experience the anguish and disappointment that we did. Buyers rely on building inspection services so they don't end up with a mess, like we did. read more
