I hate to write this review. But I was looking for a new local banner printing company but I should have known better when I arrived to place my order. There were two people working there. The lady, Maria was initially nice and helpful on the phone when I called, but she was perturbed when the other salesperson asked her to help me and snapped at him, telling him and me that she has to be at her desk to process orders and cannot be at the reception desk all the time(yellow flag #1 for me). I asked her a few questions and emailed her my files but didn't hear from them for a couple days until I called them(another yellow flag... but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt again...). I needed this printed within a week or so but when I called and asked, she couldn't give me a completion date. Instead, she told me "I was in the queue" which could mean 3 days or one week(?). When I sent her the files, she sent a proof showing all 4 images were 2ft w x 4 ft h, which is what we ordered. All 4 images shown on her proof were the same size. However, when I picked up the final product, one banner had a white border, which was NOT shown in her proofs. When I explained the border was not in the proof she sent, she said it was not her fault and that she just sends the images and "uses the file I send and does not alter it." However, based on the images she sent in the proof, ALL banners WERE THE SAME SIZE. I get it. My file was wrong, but that's why a proof is sent to the client, so the client can review and catch any issues before printing. Proofs are for clients to review and if there was a border in the file, it should be shown to the client. I would not have approved it if her file showed the border. She also argued the proof is only for color and writing. However, her proof agreement does not say it's only for color and writing. When I explained her proof is incorrect, she tried to sway me by saying the product "looks good with the border" and that "no one would notice". Really? You've got to be kidding me. The four banners are made as a set. It is noticeable if one is different. She told me she could reprint it but would have to charge me. What absolutely terrible customer service!Yes, the file was not correct. However, she "copied" it on the proof showing all sizes were the same and misled me (contrary to the argument that she does not edit my file!) and I received an unsatisfactory product. Had she copied "as is", it would have shown one banner to be slightly smaller than the other 3. And then to argue with the customer was the nail on the coffin for me! You're better off using an online site. Unfortunately, I have to give a bad review based on my experience which overshadows a good product with the 3 other banners. I was really hoping to find a new printing company we could use for all our signage needs, one I could trust and have a good business rapport with. But I will never use them again and don't recommend them to anyone. read more

I had Signvertise recreate, build and install a sign for us and the results were fantastic. Maria and Douglas helped with the initial consultation and confirmed specs. Because we already have an original sign, I simply provided pictures and sketch for the sign and asked that they recreate it for me. After confirming the colors they went to work and had it produced quickly. Douglas pulled the permits and arranged for installation and were out to install promptly. I should mention, I shopped around before committing to this build and Signvertise was the most honest and straightforward with the price. Others wiggled around and phrased things in a way that inevitably would lead to a higher final price. I have to say, out of the 3 signs this is the best rendition. We love our sign! A couple of years ago, I had Signvertise print a rendering of a home (architectural image) on metal sign for new construction project. It was fantastic! The developer liked it so much, he asked if he could keep that sign for his office. (Sure thing!) A month ago, I had them print real estate (For Sale) signs for me along with riders for the top of the wooden sign posts. They delivered the proofs in a timely manner and the end product was fabulous. They care about what they do, they are helpful and they make sure that you get what you want. (Not like another sign company that recently moved from Hermosa Beach to Torrance, where I wasn't treated or talked to kindly by a guy named Adam M. He also would tell me what I should do and tried to talk me out of what I wanted ... all in a condescending tone. That was the nail in the coffin when working with that other sign co. Bottom line ... I had the same experience as Pamela K after spending over $6,000 with Signvertise (way more than the budget or estimate) on new backlit signage. In spite of this, we have burnt out and mistimed signage but cannot get them to even stop by the store for 2 min to simply show us the placement of its timer and have it replaced or adjusted. Apparently they installed, wired and provided the signage, electrician to connect it and everything else - even a mobile crane to lift it. But not the timer. How else was a 35 yr old sign replaced without the timer? It was, by them. Now that they have my cash its all he said, she said and no, we cannot even stop by on our way elsewhere, not for a second. I was in a bind. Needed a banner for a special anniversary party where the entire town is invited. 72 hours to deadline. Maria was able to advise ways to correct design errors with the graphics. Three different revisions were required in order to produce a workable proof. By now, with time running out, I am sure that the banner would be ready the day after the event.
