Cute restaurant, very clean. We were greeted right away. There are 3 options; pita, wrap or bowl. We went with the bowl and it was so big and filling. Husband went with the spicy rice and gyro meat. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The rice had a great flavor, not too spicy. I went with plain rice and chicken. The chicken was very good and the rice perfectly cooked. We were out running Saturday morning errands and hit Mariano's for some groceries. We were walking down Broadway and stopped out front of this place to check out the menu. The Hangover (we weren't currently) Sandwich looked amazing. So on a whim we walked in and each ordered one to go. We brought them home and when we saw how huge they were we thought we could have split one. However when we each took a bite, we were like uh, so happy we got our own!!! This bad boy has everything that makes Mediterranean food so amazing. Chicken, eggplant, rice, cauliflower and pickles all stuffed into a delicious pita burrito thing with some occasional spicy bites. This restaurant could be really good if the employees would just follow simple hygiene practices. This is the second time I've had this issue, the employee will put gloves on, wash something or tend the cash register, and go straight back to serving food without washing hands or changing gloves. This happened to me tonight. I brought it to the guys attention instead of correcting the situation, he got angry and told me he did change his gloves. It took us awhile to give this place a try and I regret it did. This place is fantastic. We're now frequent travelers. Everything's been great. We often get the Hangover wraps and make your own bowls. Also, my 8 year old craves Sila's every week. She's obsessed. She tries other Gyros now at other places, and nothing compares for her love of Sila's :) Keep up the awesome work. My only qualm, is that takeout orders can take awhile. This isn't fast food. Stopped for lunch here on an impulse one day, and I'm so glad I did. Sila's has some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Their bowls are delicious. You really can't go wrong with whatever you order -- whether you customize it or pick something straight off the menu. (Personally, I would recommend getting something with the Sila's style chicken in it. You won't be disappointed.) The restaurant itself is small but still has a lot of seating for groups of all sizes. Also, the staff were so kind and friendly. Looking forward to eating here again. read more

I finally gave Sila's a try after seeing all the 5 star reviews over the last few months, and it was good! Flavors were there and ingredients tasted fresh. I am surprised though that more people aren't complaining about the value of the meal. I ordered a bowl with three bases - rice, eggplant, and cauliflower. I was given three heaping scoops of rice and only two pieces of eggplant and cauliflower. I expected way more of an even ratio for my base...next time I'd skip the rice entirely if it means getting more of the veggies. I also got the Kale/Beets and Jerusalem Salad as my toppings. I was given an extremely meager amount- barely a bite of each. The spicy feta was good- gave me Cava vibes. And the chicken shawarma was delish! But for $17, I expect more than a bunch of rice with a few good toppings. read more

This is my go to takeout food in the area now. I like the hangover sandwich and the make your own bowl. The hangover sandwich is packed full of meat, which is awesome sometimes. I recommend you get the chicken if you make your own bowl or gyro as they typically give you larger portion sizes. I Remember one time I got the steak and they gave me a pittance amount. Nevertheless every other experience I have had here is great! Tasty food, sort of kind of healthy? Nice flavor combinations. The cauliflower, eggplant, and potatoes are to die for. I like the Jerusalem salad, Silas sauce, garlic sauce, tzatziki sauce and I love the pickles. I wish it was a bit cheaper, but they now have some small loyalty program with toast. read more

Side potatoes are savory circles of delicately fried white potatoes, served with a subtle curry - spiced dipping sauce. The service is quick, professional and friendly. Ambiance is urban sunflower garden and filled with comfortable tables and chairs. The only drawback is the front door: 1)There is an old, worn and smeary sign that needs to be removed. Looks messy. 2)the hand written "no public restrooms" and garage sale type "Help Wanted" signs are not reflective of the charming space, and delicious food within. It was not the best. Won't try again. They give the appearance of 'fresh' and homemade but I saw a few krinkle fries in with the potato slices. Which indicates they are not in back hand slicing potatoes. And the coating on the potatoes tasted artificial, not some mom and pop seasoning blend. These dishes are made with love and I was very impressed with the falafel and dolmades especially!
