We had it catered in for a lunch and some parts were great but others were just ok. I thought the chicken was delicious, tons of flavor, juicy, well-cooked, and tons of chicken. I would definitely recommend the chicken and while the doner looked great, I wasn't able to get any of it either. Conversely, the falafel seemed a bit over-fried and kinda dry potentially as a result while the hot sauce had a good flavor to it but wasn't spicy enough for me. Food: I ordered the chicken shawerma which came with a decent amount of humus, big amount of rice and salad. I absolutely loved the garlic sauce, not too garlicky but just right. Also, their bread is nice and fluffy. Atmosphere: just a decent to-go and casual style with a few chairs and tables. I like that they have an order yourself screen as well. I am super perplexed by the amazing reviews. Came here for lunch and dined in. No other customers were in the tiny restaurant or came in for a pick up. When I entered, there was nobody working at the counter. I had to call out and only then did somebody appear. The employee was super unfriendly -- I don't think she said two words to me. The food was average, at best. I will stick with sultans market. After she brought my order out, she disappeared into the back room. It was such a bizarre dining experience. I looked up and saw a security camera over the dining room but no signs of life in the place. Totally bizarre. New mediterranean restaurant in Bucktown/Logan Square. Ordered online and dinner was ready in twenty minutes. Have been wanting to try this restaurant and when I seen a fellow Yelper give it the thumbs up, I had to visit. Husband picked up food and reports clean restaurant and nice owner. Our food was packed appropriately and still warm when we got home. For food: Gyro sandwich, fries, Chicken Shawarma Plate and Red Pepper Hummus. All food items were great. French fries were plentiful and crispy. Gyro sandwich was full of meat and fresh veggies. First time my husband didn't complain about the lack of meat. The Chicken Shawarma plate was good. I was in-between this and Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, happy I chose this because I got to try the rice. Rice was fluffy and complimented the chicken flavor. It is a MUST try and is guaranteed not to disappoint because I've gone regularly for the past year and I've only seen the best effort in quality, flavor, portions, you name it. The people are so kind and clearly love what they do. The chicken was so most and tender and had this incredible flavor to it. The rice is always cooked perfectly, the hummus was delicious and the cucumber tomato salad was so fresh. The tomato sauce was definitely made same day. Food is amazing. I usually get the chicken shawarma kabob plate. Very flavorful and the meat isn't dry at all. The hummus is good, my favorite is the red pepper one. The portions are pretty huge. I usually can have it for 2-3 meals. The owner is incredibly nice. He was extremely thankful that we are supporting his business. Especially since it's colder out, business is slowing down. I mentioned to him about how there are people in the community trying to help bring more business in. He was so surprised and thankful. Oh my God.. it's not your regular hummus that's for sure and the falafel was generously packed with flavor. Not to mention, the nice size succulents meats and the portions were definitely worth the money at a reasonable price. I had the salmon wrap and there was this sauce that really had my taste buds-tingling. My husband and I are visiting Chicago and thanks to Yelp we found this place. The food was absolutely fantastic. He had the beef kabob plate and I had the chicken. Both plates were heaping with super tender and tasty meat as well as perfectly grilled vegetables, rice, salad and hummus. To top it off, it was very reasonably priced.
