We ordered business cards and were really under the gun to get them back for an event this weekend. The people there were great and they tried to help out as best they could. The cards look great but the only issue I have is that knowing what the turn around time was and that it was a rush, no one told me that the cards were being made in China. If we had known that we wouldn't have ordered the cards because it took so long to ship them back to the US. Luckily everything worked out and I got the tracking number and saw that they were delivered a day early. I was able to pick the cards up immediately and get to fedex to ship the cards to where we needed them for the next day. We will be ordering more cards in the future and hopefully we will order them early so that we don't have them at the last minute! Thanks for the wonderful customer service! read more

Silk Cards produce a phenomenal business card! People stop and stare in awe when I hand them one. Compared to other companies who can offer similar printing effects, Silk Cards has very reasonable pricing. I have been pleasantly surprised by their friendly customer service agents who reach out to me any time I have an issue. As a graphic designer, I have begun ordering my client's business cards through them as well. Their process is quite in depth, so your order might take awhile to arrive (about 15-20 days.) However, once they get to you, you forget all about the wait time, and only think about how incredible the cards are. (My only negative feedback is that there are a few bugs being worked out as they are making changes to their website, so the ordering process is somewhat clunky at the moment. Once those bugs are smoothed and the ordering becomes easier, I will be referring all my designer friends!) read more

I purchased hangtags from this company and upon receiving them they looked like they were just tossed around for a week. When I inspected the tags they were full of scratches and poorly cut along the edges. Needless to say I tried to resolve this issue with the company but they have yet to help me. Very disappointed in their level of competence and attention to detail. I provided specific instructions about how I wanted my business card to look like and they consistently ignored them and failed to incorporate my design revisions. The level of incompetence was staggering and proven by more than 15 revisions required to get a two-sided business card right. The graphic design is outsourced and completed by foreigners who obviously had a hard time comprehending English and following specific directions. We have ordered custom business cards twice from this company, and we couldn't be more pleased. How I found Silkcards: I had been given a business card at a local event and was wow'd by the look and feel. While I received lots of cards from this networking event, and I didn't particularly need the services that were on this card, I just couldn't bring myself to throw it away because it was so dang pretty! The light bulb went off and I wondered if my contacts would feel the same about keeping my card if I had such nice ones. So I called the person who'd given me the card, asked where they'd gotten theirs, and the rest is history. The folks at Silkcards were very patient with me, because I sent the proof back a LOT of times for further revision until I felt it was finally perfect. I was hesitant to spend the higher amount (having been used to using extremely cheap business cards), but when we got the first order in I knew we could never be happy with ordinary cards again. Almost without fail, when I hand someone a card now, they say, "Wow! Nice card!" And in a competitive world where any little way you can stand out may mean the difference between gaining a customer or, well, not... I will never use cheap cards again! These guys do make a nice card but everything else falls FLATTTTT. First off their customer service is the worst I've seen pretty much ever. They don't take responsibility for their errors and will not refund you even if they are at fault. Another thing is if there is something wrong with your file, their design team doesn't mention it so when you get your proof make sure to really look it over cuz chances are something has changed on it. Lastly is that they take SO LONG to print your items. Their turn around time is freaking nuts, I've waited over a month to receive business cards and when I've asked why production stops on something as simple as printing 500 cards for days on end they simply say "we are working on it". Their response time is also terrible, it takes them forever to get back to you and you get a new person each who doesn't even know what you're talking about. Someone also dragged me along for a while thinking I could print a certain something and finally after weeks someone said oh we don't do that, I don't know why someone didn't tell you. uh yea idk why someone didn't tell me either. I've been printing with these guys for several years. I use their "silk" cards on heavy card stock, full color both sides, and I always get compliments on my cards. They are the only ones I've found that print these really cool cards. Their turnaround time is on the slow side. Even when they say their inhouse turnaround is 6 business days, in my experience sometimes it's 7 or 8. But then they do say on their website that they don't guarantee delivery date. If you anticipate the wait, and accommodate for it, it's well worth it. I usually submit orders online and don't talk with customer service at all. I always send them printer ready graphics through the web interface, and never had problems with the files. When I do need assistance, customer service has always been friendly and responsive for me. Once, they printed one of my orders that had some weird artifact on every card (like a little circle). It was their error anyway. They had me scan it and send them a picture then they reprinted my job and resent it at their expense. I've been VERY pleased with their work to date. I give them a solid 4 stars. I'd give them a 5 if their turnaround time was faster. read more

I read through the reviews above and thought perhaps they were all from a single angry client - their prices were pretty competitive so I figured I'd take the chance. Terrible decision. They were fine initially. The proof process was a little slow, which had me concerned, but not enough to end everything there. When we first spoke to them, I confirmed with them that they manufactured on site and did not outsource their products. They told me yes. I specifically did so because I had worked for a Chinese manufacturing company in the past and I knew Chinese New Year was coming up where they close the factories for at least a week. I stressed that I only wanted to print with a US printer. Again, they told me yes. After the delivery deadline had come and gone, we called daily to determine the status of delivery every time we were met with a dead end. At one point they claimed they were "going to check the print floor" to see the status of the job. After two weeks, we called and threatened to devolute the credit card, they claimed that they had spoken with someone in our office [impossible] and told us that they would offer a 50% discount to deliver it later because it was Chinese New Year and the factory was closed... It is not two months later. We still do not have ANY business cards from them. They STILL have not refunded the $800 we paid for the cards. Do not use them. Or Color4Print [their online presence.] They are a complete SCAM. read more

Truly horrible print job and even worse customer service. I've been in the publications/graphic design business for 23 years. They're the worst I've experienced. I ordered their Silk business cards (with spot UV coating) in November. I chose them because they were much less expensive than my previous company. I sent them the exact same Photoshop file. When I got the job back, the print quality was horrible. I contacted them (via phone and mail) immediately to ask that they reprint the cards. They didn't respond at all. i contacted them again three months later (via phone and mail). They ignored my request. Then I contacted them last week via phone and email and they finally responded. They refused to reprint the cards or give me my money back. Yes, their prices are very low, but the quality is the worst I've seen. read more

What first attracted me to this company was how unique they were. There were so many choices on how to go about designing your business cards. I wanted a card that was going to stand apart from others and they had options that allowed me to do that. I was impressed by their customer service ! I not only was emailed proofs to verify my cards but I also got a personal phone call as well. I was also impressed at how quickly I received a response to my questions -usually same day or right away the next morning. I was also blown away about how accommodating they were with making sure my needs got met. I am a perfectionist and extremely picky and they went above and beyond for me to make sure my cards turned out exactly the way I envisioned them. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.... I sincerely felt like they cared about my needs and wants and went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Pros/cons- on the negative side it took awhile to get my business cards to turn out the way I wanted them to .... However they were extremely patient with me and didn't give up trying to make my vision come to life. They made sure I was happy with the final result and even went above and beyond to upgrade my shipping to 2 day air to make sure I had it in time for my big portfolio show since it had taken so long. I haven't tried out any of their other services but I was definitely impressed by their business cards and I'm happy to say that mine stand out and make a lasting impression with my clients. We use Designline for the specialty cards that we don't do in house & I can tell you that our customers are always thrilled when they get their cold foil cards back. Nobody does a better cold foil and the customers always love to flip through the sample book-it's my favorite way to get customers to widen the horizons of their business cards! I should of read these reviews prior to ordering. I received my plastic transparent cards that looked like garbage. They were unusable and my client was embarrassed to hand them out. I argued for over a week trying to get results and was stuck talking to a kid that told me the cards looked great. They have promised a refund and its been over two weeks and no refund. AS A BUSINESS OWNER MYSELF I AM TELLING YOU NOT TO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. BECAUSE MISTAKE. I have use 4 Color Print for years but ever since they moved out of California, it seems like they have lowered their quality and customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone at this point. I was strong armed into accepting an idea that I was not completely happy with because according to Kimberly, "To be clear our policy is we only allow up to 3 designs with minor changes. 4colorprint = SCAM! SCAM! FRAUD!! Do NOT use this 4colorprint! They are frauds. First the customer services girl "Teresa" is EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I received a sample packet from them and noticed that one of the cards looked familiar. So I did some research and found that the card in their sample packet wasn't even their card! It belong to a company called "Taste of Ink". They have template cards that are exclusively owned by them and by no means are 4colorprint allowed to put them in their sample pack passing them off as their own work! WOW.....So I called up 4colorprint to ask about one of the "sample" cards in their kit and she started studdering and started avoiding my questions and saying that she can't answer those types of questions.. She then changes the story and said we send out random cards." hmmmm...I asked her "WHY are you sending out cards that is NOT your work????" She said that she can not talk further about it....hmm... THEY are scam artists over there. BEWARE! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This was my third time ordering cards from this company even after they messed up on the first two orders. I don't know why I gave them a third chance other than they already had my custom design and I only needed colors and wording changed and NOT the design of the card. They repeatedly made changes on their own with regards to colors, edges, etc. After a MONTH of them losing the order, losing the change order, making the incorrect changes and them selecting their own colors again, they charged me $188.55 to cancel the order. Their designer took well over 30 days to get the proof to me. When the design team finished the card it was PERFECT but when the PROOF came over they automatically changed the edge of the card from blue to copper. I sent over a correction to the edge color and it took another 4 days to resend me the EXACT SAME PROOF AGAIN with the copper edges instead of the blue. I asked them to cancel the order due to their numerous mistakes and they charged me $188.55. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't know of any other printer that will take up to 2 months to get a card printed when the only changes were colors and wording and not design. read more

I have used this company a few years ago because they offered cost effective spot UV on their Silkcards. I have used them a few times in the recent past with average results. However, this experience has put me over the edge. I am a designer with over 25 years of experience and I have NEVER had such horrible customer service and completely botched jobs as I have recently. My clients' cards were 16pt, customized, rounded corners, cold foiling and spot UV. All in all, they are over $1 each in the quantity they ordered. Order was sent to Designline graphics on December 6, 2011 and I finally got them in min-January, 2012. They were not shipped to my clients correctly and the printing was a MESS: hickeys, scratches, creases in the foiling, cutting misalignments, etc., etc. Designline Graphics (who also operated as 4ColorPrint.com) offered to reprint after I sent them samples, but they were closed for the week of Chinese New Year. The reprint finally arrived in mid-March, 2012 and the second batch was as bad as the first. There were fingerprints left on the ink, scratches, color shifts, hickeys, cutting misalignments, etc. YOU WOULD THINK THAT A REPRINT WOULD BE GIVEN SPECIAL CARE, BUT NOT HERE. The entire time the Customer Service has been hideous. Their attitude both in email and on the phone is poor, uncaring, and not knowledgeable. I have had emails form Howard, Gil and Samantha and none of them were helpful in the least. I asked for the manager of Customer Service to call me to discuss the issue and I was diverted to email DAYS later, and not from a manager. When I finally got the mane of the Customer service manager (Gary), it took 3 attempts by the service department to operate his voicemail properly. Meanwhile, my clients approved their cards for printing in early December, 2011 and still have no cards to use. They are losing business, and are frustrated and disappointed. As the designer, I am embarrassed and angry at Designline Graphics for putting me in a horrible position with my clients due to their unprofessional services and lacking customer relations. Placed an order with 4CP / DGI Graphics on Wednesday, November 26 (the day before Thanksgiving. It took the entire day to process my payment due to the fact the merchant batch that they are associated with had had fraudulent charges, so my bank wasn't releasing the payment. That issue was settled before the end of the business day and graphics were approved by Friday, Nov 28th morning. The order was suppose to take 10 business days to process and I was getting overnight shipping to have these for the holidays. I called once during the production to confirm the shipping details and the left it to 4CP / DGI Graphics to do their part. On Friday, December 12th I had still heard no word from them, so I called to see when I could expect the order to ship. A sales rep recorded my information and said she would get back to me Monday, since their production facility was closed until Monday, on Friday morning. She did call me early Monday, December 15th, for CA company and my business being in EST. She said there was a detail with the job that was holding up production. No one from their company tried to contact by phone or email the 11 business days prior to this even though this job is valued at $2000. I told her I just need the cards. This was an issue with information on a magnetic strip and I did not need it, I just needed the cards. It is now Thursday night, December 18th. The cards I had ordered 22 days ago just left SHENZHEN - CHINA, PEOPLES REPUBLIC yesterday, and HONG KONG a few hours ago. I was complete unaware that I was paying for an oversea product. The girl associate is the only one at the company this week, December 15-18th. The voicemail for their company is full as well. I guess I just expect a little better quality service when spending over $2000 on a single job. I personally would not and do not treat my customers this way. read more

This is the worst experience i have ever had. The cards look othing like the proofs, they totally messed this onw up. We order new business cards for an company event to give out while networking and when we recieved them we were very disappointment. First the dye cut is terrible, it pops right off and bends up!!!! these can easily be ripped off. The white type is not even white they added this crazy white boarder all the way around. We paid 783.00 for these cards and couldnt even use them due to the appearence. EVEN MORE WORST, I call in to let them know what happened, I was told they would have an manager call me and I have yet to hear back. I ordered a set of business cards after looking at their catalogue. I absolutely love the die cut they had on one of the samples and I ordered a set of personal cards based on the same type of die cut they advertised. After working for several hours to make sure the design I had was compatible with the final product I had in mind, I placed the order and sent them the file along with a picture of the sample they had in their catalogue. When I received the cards, I noticed the die cut was wrong. When I tried to reach their customer service - which was bad, as usual -, I talked to their agent who told me the vector file I sent them (a Corel Draw file) defragged, which made them unable to see the die cut and make it correctly. That is not true. I sent all the artwork in one page, which means they wouldn't be able to do anything to my cards if the file had indeed defragged. They were able, however, to print it and cut it. If that were true, how come only the die cut part is wrong? When I asked to speak to a manager around 2PM, I was told that Gary, the manager, was on his lunch break. Two hours later, I called again, and Gary was still on his lunch break. I left my phone number so he could get back to me as soon as his lunch break was over, but I have never gotten a reply. Later on, after reaching out to Gary via email, he assured me that the way I sent the die cut was not doable, therefore they had to make the change - without my permission. I questioned him about the intricate die cut they advertised on their catalogue and demanded to have my cards reprinted, just to have Gary tell me that I could upload a new file - a file that they already had - on their website and make a new order; however, an extra charge could be applied to the intricate die cut. So the die cut went from "not doable" to "possibility of extra charge". They would not reprint my cards. They did not take responsibility for their mistake. I did send an email on December 12, 2013 regarding a new order for my cards and questioning them what would be the best price for a card with the "intricate" die cut I designed. I was willing to pay for a mistake that was not committed by me or any of my employees. I was willing to pay for their error. Until today, three weeks later, I have not received a reply. Throughout all these years that I've been in this business, I give the title of Worst Customer Service to this company. read more
