    S1. Stew Beef 秘制红烧牛肉.
    Celian O.

Co-worker bought this for me as take-out, so there's not much for me to say about service of staff and ambiance of the location. Honestly, I was going to give 3 stars because nothing really stood out to me about the food and the beef was kind of dry. But the beef was tender and easy to bite and they cooked the rice so perfectly, exactly how I like it; soft and fluffy. I could eat the rice alllllll day. I had the stew beed over rice. The spice level was mild and I really liked it, would try a stronger spice level next time. I think it's one of the better Chinese food places in that area so far, from what I've tried.

Amazing place for takeout! Fast and nice quality dishes. The packaging is the deliveries stand out and shows care. Would come back again.

Chili chicken soup noodles mild spicy

I loved my warm meal on a cold day! I got the mild spicy chicken chili soup noodles with sour and spicy cucumber salad. The salad was a huge portion so I took a bunch home in a to-go bag. I took some soup home too - it was very delicious and made fresh. The apple soda was the perfect touch. Service was excellent and advised me to order the perfect spice level perfectly. There is one long table where small groups could eat together. Many folks were coming in for take out as well. I will definitely come here again. Great portions for the price.

Very quick to get our food and large portions however I feel like they increased prices recently. Each bowl was about $19 which I feel is too much for simple noodle dishes. The dry noodles were quite oily with fattier pieces of meat. However the hot and sour dish noodle soup was lighter and had plenty of white fish slices.

A nice and clean restaurant with quick service. I ordered the braised pork ribs with soup noodles. The meat was delicious and flavorful, however the broth was lacking flavor. Overall, it was a good experience.

During my recent stay in NYC, I ate at the mid-town location of Silky Kitchen a few times. On each occasion, I found the food always be pipping hot, freshly prepared, spice level to my taste, and surprisingly for being so close to Times Square a good value! The interior is modern, yet spartan in design aesthetic. There are a few counter and chairs towards the front towards the door, which either face the wall or the window onto the street. But there is also a funky curved communal wooden table, which is were I usually sat. Go up the counter and first choose your starch base (rice, dry noodles, or soup noodles) and then the protein and style of preparation. Soup noodles were okay, but I preferred the dry noodles, and specifically the stir fried pork with bamboo shoots. When I asked for "medium" spicy, the guy taking my order said, "Are you sure? It's Chinese level spicy." I assured him I could take it. Within 10-15 minutes, my dish was ready and served in a plastic bowl. TBH, even for "Chinese level spicy," the medium wasn't that hot. Good thing there was a station for additional chili oil, which I added a few spoonfuls for more heat. The pork had that "wok hei" smoky flavor and the bamboo shoots and other veggies were nice and crunchy; slight detractions since I could've used more bamboo shoots and less celery. Noodles were springy and were coated with all of the ingredients and sauce. A nice filling meal for under $20. Silky Kitchen is a local chain with (at the time of this review) four locations around NY (https://silkykitchen.com/#footer). So if you're visiting NY and are in search of affordable and authentic Hunan cuisine, Silky Kitchen is a good option.

The stew been has a ton of tender beef and is a good size. The major comment I have is that the broth is watery and is missing the depth of flavor.

Partner said it is pretty authentic Chinese. Quick service and flavorful dishes. I had Hunan Beef and he had Tofu/Minced Pork. Great place for a quick jog into flavorful

Summer special - Soft Tofu Minced Pork Dry Mix Noodle

I've been to this chain twice now. They have locations throughout New York. I used to love Xian Famous food so much, but I think it's got competition! This place has a similar concept as Xian - you go up to the counter to order your dishes and they are all served in plastic disposal utensils and bowls whether you order to go or dine in. Food comes out in about 5-15 minutes. I've tried the: - Spicy Squid with noodles 8/10 - Tofu with minced pork noodles (summer special!) 8/10 - Hot and Sour Fish soup noodles 8/10 - Cold sweet flower jelly 10/10 - Hunan Fried Tofu 10/10 Even though this place seems to be a fast casual place, I was amazed by the quality of the food. I really enjoyed everything I've eaten here so far and the flavor profile is amazing. The Hunan tofu is so good - I really like the pickled veggies they used. The cold sweet flower jelly is the perfect summer desserts. The entrees are great, they didn't seem to skimp out on the ingredient. I would say the ingredient to carb ratio is maybe around 2:3? Can't wait to come back and try different dishes next time!

Solid bowl of noodle soup. Really hits the spot, great price point, and was still piping hot when it was delivered. Noodles were bouncy with a great texture. Really slippery which is great because they didn't arrive as a massive clump of starch. Had the fish soup and the spice level was great, could be spicier, but I was perfectly happy with the soup without modifications. WAIT JK I added pickled string beans. I forgot. Those were GREAT. Should be in every bowl of hot and sour fish soup. Have yet to visit this place in person, but judging from the photos they seem to be following the trend of clean sparse wooden interiors with counter ordering. Fine by me! Looking forward to visiting in person.

Came in by myself on a rainy Wednesday. A few other patrons but takeout. You order at the counter and come back to grab your food when the buzzer goes off. Ambiance left a bit to be desired as it felt a little sterile. I got the dry noodle one with chicken and it was about a 4 star. Pretty good but not outstanding. I also got the fried tofu appetizer and really liked it. I'd recommend trying out this spot

    S11. Hunan Style Sauteed Beef
    Simone H.

Silky Kitchen is known for its authentic Hunan cuisine, generous portions, and real spicy flavors. If you're a fan of noodles and bold spices, this spot is definitely worth a visit. The pork and pepper stir fry is a flavorful dish with tender pork and a mix of bell peppers. The spice level can be adjusted to your preference, and it pairs well with rice or noodles. This spot in Times Square has mostly high top seating and is great for take out. Service was attentive and offered a lot of suggestions for food.

    Pork and pepper - S3
    Veronica H.

One of my go-to lunch places, amazing value and great food quality. You can also order online to save time! Nomz: My go-tos are S3 pork + pepper and S11 hunan style beef. (I do want to try the stewed beef eventually). I usually get them with rice but I have tried the dry mixed noodles which are also delicious. I will say the noodles tend to absorb the spice a lot more so beware. Their spice levels are no joke. I started at spicy and it was so spicy I could not properly enjoy - as someone who prefers spicy food. Medium is still pretty spicy - I tend to go mild nowadays and for me the flavors really come out at mild. Service: The staff taking orders is super nice, the restaurant is a well oiled machine - very efficient. Ambiance: The inside is well lit, cute, minimalistic and usually has plenty of seating available since most people pick up. Nope or Dope: Dope! I start craving it every week, their flavors are delicious and they are generous with the rice and noodles, I usually have a snack for later. Try it out!

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.

OMG-I just enjoyed one of the most delicious and flavorful Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls EVER!!! Run, don't…read morewalk to try this! It was so delicious. See my photos. The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! If you love good food, good service, and a very cool environment, put this location of WAGAMAMA on your list ! (East side) LOCATED On THIRD AVE, at East 39th Street. There is OUTDOOR SEATING, too, with red umbrellas. See my photos. Enjoy yourself here. Totally delightful. There are several locations in Manhattan. I did not know that. So, the one I have dined at is ON THIRD AVENUE, at EAST 39th Street. Look for the Red Umbrellas outside, at the corner of East 39th Street and Third Avenue. Enjoy!!!

I remembered i liked my experience going to one in London in 2024 and decided to go. I love how attentive the wait staff are, a little too attentive. A waitress, she had long hair and a nose ring, approached me when I was just glancing her way during eating. I didn't need anything, but I appreciate the favor. That same waitress gave me my receipt too early like she wanted me to leave ASAP. This was right before I asked to look at the desserts after I finished my meal. A "Would you like some dessert?" would have be appreciated. Cedrick, my principal waiter, was phenomenal. He decided to take care of me after no one was at the hosting desk for 5 minutes after I arrived. I had the chicken potsticker ramen and it was delicious! The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. Even though I had an issue with the service, I saw how caring they were (he looked like a manager now) to a family that came after me with organizing their seats and getting a baby chair. I just wished they gave me the same respect instead of rushing me out the door.
