I visited today for a safety check and wanted to share my experience to help others. Overall, I've had positive visits here in the past--their safety checks are thorough and well-done, which is why we keep coming back. That said, heads up: they no longer accept walk-ins for safety checks; it's strictly by appointment only now. When we arrived without one, the staff member was quite abrupt, asking if we had an appointment and then saying it's "been like that for a long time" when we explained we didn't know. However, just a year ago, we walked in without issue, so this seems like a fairly recent change. She mentioned we could pay an extra $35 to get squeezed in right away, but that felt a bit off-putting. It's totally understandable to switch to appointments for better organization, but it wasn't mentioned on their Yelp page (which, as of today, doesn't even link to their website--and that's the only way to make an appointment). Plus, their Square appointment site requires you to enter a credit card, and you'll be charged a $10 fee if you don't cancel at least 24 hours in advance. A friendlier tone would have made this all much smoother. Just a suggestion for the team to update their Yelp info and handle these situations with a bit more warmth. Bottom line: Great service once you're in, but definitely book an appointment through their website ahead of time to avoid any hassle! read more

I have been bringing all of my vehicles to SilvaShine Detailing for over 10 years. They are friendly, efficient and thorough with their safety checks. I just read a negative review about a safety check that prompted me to write this review. If your car won't pass, don't bring it here and then write a negative review. That's Pilau! Fix your car first. They are providing this service for the State of Hawaii. Two years ago they did a deluxe detail with ceramic coating, window spot removal and headlight restoration on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma and I got a LOT of compliments on how new it looked! Last year it only needed a maintenance detail and it still looks shiny and new. I highly recommend this company for their services and the Aloha I receive every time I go there. read more

Silva detailing took it upon themselves to call the DMV and report that my window tint is too dark to pass despite passing me last year! Even accused me of removing the tint he passed last year!! I took my Jeep to SilvaShine Detailing to remove four years of water spots caused by daily exposure to sprinkler water spraying all over the body and glass surfaces of my vehicle. The clear coat was dull, and oxidized from UV damage. When I picked up the car I could not believe my eyes! The paint looked shiny and the water spots are now gone!!! All the employees were very professional, courteous and took pride in the quality of their work. They quoted the price up front, and considering the amount of labor involved (it took 3 employees 6 hours or 18 man hours) it was well worth the $500 spent in restoring the paint of my vehicle. read more

They're service is not only quick, but efficient. Everyone has their own opinions on family owned businesses, but this one tops the cake! The wife is so beautiful and sweet and the husband is kind and attentive. They're cute little kiddos are always around which is nice when em anyone hears child laughter. I brought my truck in for an exterior detail and was quoted 125 for the detail, I also wanted the undercarriage washed and engine compartment detailed, so the total was supposed to be $175. I got my truck back with the exterior looking good but the engine compartment still dirty and the undercarriage filthy and also 3 dings on my tailgate that I know wasn't there because I'm a fanatic about my vehicle. The owner (the women) is very unstable... it's one of those instances where the owner should let someone else run the business. Upon hearing my concerns she waved her arms in the air exclaiming that I was ridiculous for even saying anything. Extremely poor service, poor workmanship, poor everything. Save yourself a big headache! Oh yeah, they bill came out to $200 also. What a rip off. read more

This firm changed owners earlier this year. I brought my SUV in at 8:30 am for an inside/outside detail. I called at 2 pm and was told it would be done at 3 pm. I complained to the owner that I felt this job took too long. I said I was first in, and that the detail used to take four hours. He gave an excuse that "other" customers were there and they needed their cars done as well, and that he only had two employees on. I'm puzzled by a company that always had a first come first served policy changing to a "whoever we want to work on policy". It was 4 pm until I got my truck. At $260, I expect better service than this. I'm won't be returning. Sad. read more

Brought my 2012 FJ Cruiser in for a detail. When we shipped the rig over on Horizon lines. When it arrived, it has 1/4 inch of salt on the entire exterior, and the paint had tiny little specks of rust showing after we washed all the salt and grime off. There were also water spots galore, and I was bummed my baby was permanently disfigured. West Coast came to the rescue. They did 5 big things: 1) Washed and detoxed the exterior. 2) Treated the tiny rust spots (they came out with a special treatment). 3) They removed all the water spots. 4) They waxed & polished with a special treatment. 5) They did the typical interior & exterior dressing on all the plastics. They had between two and three people working on the rig for the better part of 3.5 hours. It looks better today than when I took delivery of the rig from the dealer. Gotta give 'em mad props - nicely done folks! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Absolutely terrible job done, I came here to get a mini detail, they quoted me 80$ and charged me $104 when I was done! The said my "new" truck that really just needed a little love there was no big mess or stains, (they over charged but I said aloha and even tipped! When I got to my truck they outside was exactly as I left it I return back and explained that I was unhappy and I really wanted them to fix it the main guy Marcus proceeded to come out to the car and tell me that nothing was wrong and that they charge $500 to get rid of water stains"there is no water stains on my car I proceeded to then go and tell him that I would go to the drive-through car wash and get a better wash and I did do not come here do not waste your money here bad service no aloha!!!!!!! My wash at the car was was 15$ and I got a way better wash!!!!!! read more

The guy who does the safety inspections here dosen't care about his customers. He is sarcastic and flip. He will make you run back and forth to the DMV and/or DOT because he doesn't know how to do the job a monkey could do. Don't waist your time and money just to get frustrated here. read more

Took my truck to get detailed and also have water spots removed honestly I didn't think the water spots would be able to be remove because it was so bad but sure enough they got it all out and it looked like brand-new I never thought I could see my truck look like this ever again definitely worth the price they also gave me some great tips on how to avoid water spots I definitely would recommend this place for details especially if you need to get water spots removed from your vehicle! Also went back another day for safety inspection didn't have to make an appointment it is first come first serve love that! All you have to do is sign in and wait your turn in line Service was fast friendly and very professional absolutely love the front desk girl! I also must add one more thing one of the customers! Was very rude in dealing with her safety because she lacked the proper documentation/paperwork for the safety inspection she got very rude started screaming profanities knocking things over on the desk acting like this all in front of her three-year-old child The front desk girl remained extremely professional and didn't even blink once applause to her! So just an FYI people if you're getting a safety inspection please have your proper documentation/paperwork in order for the safety inspection to be completed this is state law there is nothing inspectors can do the law is the law and no one is above it! read more

I have been to west coast detail for both a cleaning service and safety inspection. They did a decent job on the auto detail service however it was very overpriced and I waited for quite a long time. Against my better judgement I went back for a safety inspection. This took three trips (no safety issues) where the front desk gal was consistently rude and again, I waited forever for a simple service. One trip I drove an hour and arrived 5 minutes after they stopped taking appointments (3:45pm), they wouldn't even give me the time of day. read more

I'm too lazy to clean my own car. Well not just that I actually can't clean it myself it's too dirty and filthy outside. I have dogs and my by big dog actually had scratched my car door a few times by jumping on it from outside so I brought it in to just for a simple wash and wax and they've noticed my scratches and offered to buffer and smooth out the scratches (had no idea it was possible) and after service I swear my car looked as if I just drove it off the lot. I've brought my car there at least three times and I've only had my car for a year. They detail the inside and vaccum all my chihuahua hair up along with the sand I bring in from the beach. With a deluxe Tbey removed most of my water spots specially on my window (very bad) MY CAR LOOKS GREAT AFTER EVERY SERVICE!! I could never do it myself. They blow me away. I get excited every time getting back into my car. They do their best to fit me into their schedule and never half a$$. Well worth it :) I also get my car serviced at Honda and every damn time they're leaving water spots on my car. How shame!! Nobody details my car besides west coast! read more
