The bagels are delicious, they pile the lox high and all the ingredients are fresh. Staff is friendly and humorous. It can get a little cramped if waiting inside, but after all its a bagel place. I have two other bagel places much closer to me on Fischer near where I live but I will always take the extra trip to Silverton to get bagels. Sorry to say that the great bagels once here no longer exist. Yesterday will be my last trip to this eatery. The bagel twists were raw, the regular bagels were doughy and tough with no hole in the middle and last but not least the cream cheese that we paid a premium for was frozen........again. I used to go here religiously when I lived in Brick. They really were the best around. I STILL occasionally go here, because they have the BEST vegetable cream cheese around, AND the only place I can find my favorite bagel, Russian Pumpernickel. Lines can be long, they always run out unless your there first thing when they open (or preorder them). And the service is spotty. BEWARE!!!! The new owner is a nice man. These people need to put on gloves. I was there getting a few bagels with cream cheese, the person helping me was Karen the reason why I know this because I heard a co-worker call her name. She is not a clean person, while she was preparing my bagel I noticed her picking her under ware out of a place where the sun does not shine. She also scratched her nose and touched her head. This all went on while preparing my bagels. And to top it off know one wears gloves. What happened to that law?? I will not go there again. I've been to this location twice and loved it each time! The first time, my friend brought me here and I had a Pork Roll on their French Toast Bagel. It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Now for those of you that like the traditional sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich, they have what you're looking for as well. That too was delicious. There isn't much sitting room in the restaurant, so having a huge group may not work too well for you. They offer coffee, bottled drinks and more to add to your yummy bagel. Went in on a Saturday around 1030am and they had a lot to choose from. It was a bit of a wait for a breakfast sandwich but it was worth it. I got the ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel and I added fried onions, ketchup, salt and pepper. It was delicious. I would definitely go back. read more

I am not sure why I have not reviewed this earlier, as we have been there quite a few times before. The bagels are fresh and delicious and the cream cheese is perfect. The pork roll egg and cheese sandwich is great and I am usually picky about them. I am also very picky about French toast bagels, which I just recently tried here and it is great! Back in March, we got sandwiches and salads catered for our daughter's birthday party and everything was fantastic. They were even able to help me in a short time span. I must also comment on the staff- who are very friendly and helpful. Whether I was going in for one bagel or the catered platters, everyone was so kind and courteous. Lastly, on their cleanliness and product selection: everything is always very clean when I have gone in (which is not always the case for delis) and they have some commercial products that are high quality (also not common in most delis). This is a great place and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area! read more

I heard that Bayside had the best bagels in the area. When I finally made it in to try one (their hours are limited), I was very disappointed as I watched the cashier who took my order pick my bagel out of the basket without washing her hands or putting gloves on, all while talking on the phone. Since returning from St. Petersburg, Florida (yes, I'm a Snowbird!), I've dined at this establishment three (3) times. Always the same thing: A Breakfast Platter comprising of two (2) eggs, over easy, potatoes, two sausage patties and a large cup of black coffee. To stay. The first time, I was charged, $5.35. The second time (which came with a fruit cup, $7.00 and the third time (today, without a fruit cup), I was charged the egregious price of $10.56!!! Was I overcharged? Did I complain? Did I cause a fuss? Did I create a scene? No, I paid the silly charge, and sat-down to enjoy my meal. Until nature called me, and I had to adjourn to the restroom. When finished, there, I returned to my table to notice that "they" had thrown away my copy of The New York Post (which I had spead across my dining table), and removed my cup of coffee. The table had been cleaned for another diner. Then I complained!!! They pointed to my newspaper in the garbage, and said I could pour myself another cup of coffee. I replied, "I liked the cup of coffee that I left on the table," I pulled my newspaper out of the garbage and then I walked-out (in a huff!!!!). As I passed the front of the building, I flipped them "The Bird," as I am NEVER returning to this clip joint, which has the audacity to charge different prices (for the very same thing), everytime you dine. read more

These are literally the nicest people ever. They go above and beyond for you always. They aren't really just a bagel shop either. You can get fresh squeezed OJ, parfaits, sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes, they have everything. Really good quality bagels as well. This place has such a summer feel to it too. read more

After allowing people to go before us even though we were first the lady wouldn't allow us to get our order out without asking if we wanted this or this. Then after our entire order was taken when THEN proceeds to tell is there was an minimum of 20 minute wait. The bagels were all lined up with their orders under them. So she said did you want to wait? Nope. Forget about that! Very poor experience for my first time.
