This is the best roller coaster at knottsberry farm. Lots of thrill and excitement but not super scary.

One of the best rides in the park. The only 2 that are better in my opinion are Hang Time and Xcelerator. Unfortunately, it seems like the 3 are never opened at the same time. Still, this ride is awesome.

The wait was pretty short, so once we got in line we only waited about 10 minutes and were able to get on the ride. We waited an extra two minutes just to sit in the very front row, and it's totally worth it as you get to see everything without any rows blocking you and the ride is very long so it makes the way worth it.

This is my second favorite ride at knotts just behind hang time. It is soooo good and you definitely feel the g forces on this one! Next time I really want to ride it at night!

Entry signage is kinda blah, if I'm being honest.

WET GUNPOWDER This custom B&M invert is a slick $16M addition to the park's lineup of thrilling attractions, but like loading rounds using soggy gunpowder, this southern California six shooter produced a rare misfire for me. Allow me to elaborate: this was the leadoff ride on my visit to Knotts and I was practically peeing myself with excitement. After all, how often does a Chicagoan get to enjoy coasters in December? Needless to say, the opportunity was a golden one and I chose Silver Bullet to be my first of the day. Knowing I'd only get one shot at this (hah, firearm puns!), I waited a nominal amount of time for the front row. As the only seats with full visibility, you're treated to a great view of the park as the train crests the 146ft lift hill. Oddly, the first drop is a mere 109ft that gets the train to a top speed of 55mph. This is BARELY fast enough to push the trains through six inversions and the twisting 3,125ft layout. ~Special ride elements~  *Vertical loop *Cobra roll *Zero-G roll *Corkscrew *Corkscrew Built over a large decorative pond, Silver Bullet interacts with its aquatic environment at several points including an ending helix that hovers what feels like inches above the water. There's also a small geyser directed at riders; those in the first few rows will notice a light mist, which can feel great on a hot summer day. Seating is your standard 4 across in 8 rows for a total of 32 riders per train. As with all Bolliger & Mabillard inverts, this thing is a capacity monster that churns through 1,300 guests per hour. Because of this, lines move fairly quickly. Station attendants made zero effort to fill in empty rows, however. What's of interesting note is that unlike Cedar Point's Raptor, Silver Bullet has no mid-course brake section.....which it doesn't need since it's already moving so slowly! The way this coaster was designed, the transitions between elements are smooth but leave little kinetic energy leftover. Even factoring in the first drop, it just doesn't feel as fast as a ride of this magnitude could/should be. To address local ordnance noise complaints, the track and support columns were filled with sand prior to leaving the manufacturing site. Whereas similar roller coasters like Batman and Alpengeist have that distinctive 'roar' to them, Silver Bullet does not, and this likely plays into the (lessened) psychological effect of the ride. One cycle lasts approximately 2min 30sec, which is slightly longer than Raptor but slightly shorter than Busch Gardens' Montu. Silver Bullet isn't a lousy ride per se, but in its "class" (that is, inverted looping coasters) it's definitely one of the weaker installations worldwide. TL;DR- Silver Bullet doesn't have nearly as much punch as Dorney Park's Talon and isn't even in the same LEAGUE as Kings Island's Banshee. The flatspins (a.k.a. corkscrews) were not very intense and the train limped through the cobra roll element at what felt like a snail's pace. I'm glad I rode this for the coaster credit, but my next trip to Knotts might see me passing on this one. Definitely not cracking my list of Top 10 inverted coasters. Fun? Yes. Extreme? Noooope. Worth it? Debatable. Ride it and find out for yourself. Eric S's KBF coaster ranking : 6th out of 8.

    Over the top!

Silver Bullet climbs a super steep hill that takes you well into the Knott's sky then lets you carve a right turn to head down the hill and right into the over the top loop throwing your feet to the sky! After a few more twists and turns you'll find yourself in the front of the park going into an upside down barrel roll then shooting out past the wagon camp and Indian trails right into a quark screw. Once your through the quark screw you head into a spiral decline above the lake that keeps you screaming all the way through! Once through the spiral your ride is almost over a few more slow turns and you'll be back into the loading station wanting to take another ride on the Silver Bullet! This is definitely one of the best coasters I've been on anywhere it's got the height the speed air time and it's super smooth! Coasters like this one that keep your legs suspended wile your riding are always a fun and just kinda a cool concept. Silver Bullet is a must ride when visiting Knott's so make sure you plan that into your day as the line can get super long when it's busy and you'll be bumming if you miss it! See you around the farm!

The Silver Bullet, visible from the park entrance....oh yeah!

Knott's Berry Farm has lots of fun things to do, for all ages. Camp Snoopy is great for the kids, whereas Knott's has lots of mild rides for older folks too. Most of my visits to Knott's are primarily for my kids' enjoyment, but heck, everybody's gotta have a little fun, right? And, that's where the Silver Bullet comes in. "Hey kids, it's time for Daddy to scream his head off!" This is my favorite ride at Knott's Berry Farm...it's awesome! No crickitty crackity jolts or bruise injuries from a roller coaster; this ride is as smooth as silk! You want fast?...oh yeah, this ride has got that covered as well. There are plenty of loops, beautifully smooth and fast drops, and twists and turns galore. One thing I don't like is standing in line, and this ride is one of the better ones for shorter wait times. The line may be a little long at times, like during our visit over Spring Break, but the line typically moves pretty fast. The reason here is because each roller coaster holds several people (typically around 32), which can be unloaded and reloaded simultaneously. Compare this to other rides at the park, like the High Sierra Ferris Wheel or the Coast Rider, and you will notice a significant difference in the reduced wait time for this ride. The staff at Knott's maintaining this ride also keeps this ride running smoothly, like clockwork. Okay, so now what are you still doing reading this review?!?! Time to go to Knott's and ride the Silver Bullet! Have a great time!

Knotts continues to do little to curtail the overpopulation of rampant and out of control teenagers that seem to take over the park every time we go. Despite their new policy that teenagers aren't allowed to be in the park without an adult they seem to do little to police their own policy. On our family trip a few months ago, it was clear that teenagers roaming the park freely, being disrespectful to guests and not being told anything by park staff was once again taking place. My daughter recently had her eighth-grade trip recently and the park was so overcrowded her and her friends were able to only get on ONE ride. Yes, that's correct. They got on ONE ride and were there over 7 hours. This was due entirely because they over booked and had probably dozens of schools there from all over So. Cal. Why in the world would they allow so many schools to go on the SAME DAY! Greed, I'm guessing or at least incompetence. This completely ruined their day seeing as the lines were so long one ride was all they could get on. Of course this was because there were so many kids running around and completely took over the place. My concerns were validated in a recent news report on several local TV stations. It was reported that there were large numbers of teenagers that were looking to "take over" Knotts after a Tik Tok post was leaked out. Thankfully, police caught wind of this and their devious plan was foiled. Knotts needs better planning, management, and overall control of their park so that it may once again become a family-friendly enviornment.

The percentage of negative reviews is probably not a blip on the great scheme of things. People always writes reviews when something negative happens but when things go right majority of people dont. You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge.

Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note.
