Loops, drops, corkscrews, spins that are thrillingly fast and incredibly smooth!!! Silver bullet is so fun and fast that it leaves you feeling a little unsteady. Highly recommend taking a break with a slower ride without any upside down or fast spins before and after Silver Bullet for at least 30 minutes so you don't feel dizzy/out of sorts. Lines are typically 45 to 60 minutes long. Yesterday we chose the water rides before and after, and that was perfect. We cooled off/dried off as we waited our turn. Being in a pair was helpful to us today because we got called up to the front of the line earlier than larger groups to get on the ride, which has hanging seats 4 per row. Like at Ghost Rider and Hangtime, you'll need to get a locker (free, at the start of the line), to store your belongings before getting in line for the ride. Use a QR code to get assigned a locker, or use the touchscreen, and select a 4digit code and you're all set. Silver bullet is not for everyone, but if you're brave enough, it's crazy fun!! read more

If you're looking for a thrill ride, this one is one you want to stop by! There is no stomach drop thankfully, but there are plenty of spinning/twisting and loops on the ride. This one we had been trying to get to since the beginning, it is not easy to find. We had to walk around, deeper into the park to find the entrance to the ride. read more

Knotts berry farm in Buena Park, CA! I first went on this ride in 2016 or 2017. I enjoyed it coz of the surprising twists, turns, loops, drops and corkscrews, and most of all, it's a smooth ride! And for a roller coaster, it's a fairly long ride, about 2 mins, when most rides are around 1 min. Also it's fun to have your feet dangle in the air during the ride. Downside is you don't get a good view unless you sit at the very front row (which I recommend). Fast forward 2023/2024, six or seven years later, I still liked it! It's different going on a roller coaster now that I'm a mom and not really "young" anymore lol but this ride definitely made me feel young again haha! It's the first ride by the entrance. You won't miss it because it's this and the supreme scream that garnered the most screaming in the park probably. We went there shortly after the park opened and there was no wait. So nice! Also if this is your first ride, you'll be primed to do all the other rides in the park, well maybe not supreme scream coz that might be on another level with a straight drop. That's a hard NO for me. This ride is insane. I respectfully declined to participate in this attraction. Mostly, because I value my life and health lol This attraction is fun to watch. I am amazed at how fast it goes with all the flips and loops. It must be a headache to ride this thing though! I would be so disoriented afterwards.... Like what way is up? Where's the ground? Basic stuff like that lol I have lots of respect for anyone who goes on this roller coaster. You are brave, very brave. This thing is so scary lol I was scurred just watching people go on it, and was shocked at the level of enjoyment people had after. It has a very fast moving line, and is so fun! I was really scared of rollercoasters until I rode the Silver Bullet!

Once you pull down the OTSRs, your out of the station and you head up the lift hill. Traveling up as you get a great view of the park as well as the twisted mess that is before you. For those first time riders, you may be thinking "WOW! THIS LOOKS AWESOME!!!! THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE STRONGEST B&M INVERTS." Well, it's not. But it's still a very good ride! After climbing up the lift hill, we head down the first drop. The drop is fairly lame since it's not steep and it's not that intense, but you do build some good speed so that's a plus. We then head into the vertical loop, unlike most inverts, it's rather floaty than intense. Which is fine. We then head into a banked turn, this is awesome since we get a surprisingly great moment of ejector airtime. and we don't lose any speed through it. We then drop into the cobra roll. It's not very good since we get some headbanging, but that's typical for most B&M's. We then head into a 0 g roll. It's floaty, but again we get no whip. We then head into a turnaround into the two final corkscrews hoping for some intensity. And both fail to provide that, they're just as floaty as the other inversions. Which is fine, but I prefer the more rip-your-face-off inversions that these inverts are known for! Seriously this feels like California Screamin if it were a B&M Invert (Okay, that's a bit mean, this is still a much better ride than California Screamin). We then head into the best part of the ride, the helix at the end, which is a VERY intense moment! YAY FINALLY SOMETHING INTENSE! THIS IS HOW A B&M SHOULD BE! But then, our hopes of more intensity are crushed as we hit the brake run. Aw ): I crapped on this ride A LOT in the past for not being as good as other inverts. But having ridden worse inverts since then like Patriot at Worlds of Fun and having ridden this since then, I've gotten some REALLY Good rides on it and my opinion has gone up over time. That helix and wave turn are both very good, and the inversions are still fun. Plus, if I want an intense B&M invert, you have Flight Deck and Batman. Hell, I think this is a better ride than HangTime now (the drop in quality in that ride is f*cking depressing). So I still recommend riding it, just don't expect the most intense B&M ever. I feel like this ride doesn't get talked about a lot when you ask people about Knott's. This is definitely a must if you're visiting Knott's for the first time. It's a high thrill ride that has cork screw turns back to back in opposite directions amongst other things. There are lots of thrill rides at Knott's but this is one of the only ones of its kind here and in Orange County! It's 2 minutes long and it's got a lot of turns, drops and a loop and you'll be dizzy for a few minutes once you exit so hang on to the railing when you're exiting down the stairs. read more

A solid B&M invert with a good layout and a forceful vertical loop and cobra roll. The other inversions were snappy and the helix at the end was intense. However, the drop is what ruins the ride it is way too shallow and compared to other inverts such as Banshee at Kings Island and Montu at Bush Gardens Tampa it can't compete. Silver Bullet climbs a super steep hill that takes you well into the Knott's sky then lets you carve a right turn to head down the hill and right into the over the top loop throwing your feet to the sky! After a few more twists and turns you'll find yourself in the front of the park going into an upside down barrel roll then shooting out past the wagon camp and Indian trails right into a quark screw. Once your through the quark screw you head into a spiral decline above the lake that keeps you screaming all the way through! Once through the spiral your ride is almost over a few more slow turns and you'll be back into the loading station wanting to take another ride on the Silver Bullet! This is definitely one of the best coasters I've been on anywhere it's got the height the speed air time and it's super smooth! Coasters like this one that keep your legs suspended wile your riding are always a fun and just kinda a cool concept. Silver Bullet is a must ride when visiting Knott's so make sure you plan that into your day as the line can get super long when it's busy and you'll be bumming if you miss it! WET GUNPOWDER This custom B&M invert is a slick $16M addition to the park's lineup of thrilling attractions, but like loading rounds using soggy gunpowder, this southern California six shooter produced a rare misfire for me. Allow me to elaborate: this was the leadoff ride on my visit to Knotts and I was practically peeing myself with excitement. After all, how often does a Chicagoan get to enjoy coasters in December? Needless to say, the opportunity was a golden one and I chose Silver Bullet to be my first of the day. Knowing I'd only get one shot at this (hah, firearm puns!), I waited a nominal amount of time for the front row. As the only seats with full visibility, you're treated to a great view of the park as the train crests the 146ft lift hill. Oddly, the first drop is a mere 109ft that gets the train to a top speed of 55mph. This is BARELY fast enough to push the trains through six inversions and the twisting 3,125ft layout. ~Special ride elements~  *Vertical loop *Cobra roll *Zero-G roll *Corkscrew *Corkscrew Built over a large decorative pond, Silver Bullet interacts with its aquatic environment at several points including an ending helix that hovers what feels like inches above the water. There's also a small geyser directed at riders; those in the first few rows will notice a light mist, which can feel great on a hot summer day. Seating is your standard 4 across in 8 rows for a total of 32 riders per train. As with all Bolliger & Mabillard inverts, this thing is a capacity monster that churns through 1,300 guests per hour. Because of this, lines move fairly quickly. Station attendants made zero effort to fill in empty rows, however. What's of interesting note is that unlike Cedar Point's Raptor, Silver Bullet has no mid-course brake section.....which it doesn't need since it's already moving so slowly! The way this coaster was designed, the transitions between elements are smooth but leave little kinetic energy leftover. Even factoring in the first drop, it just doesn't feel as fast as a ride of this magnitude could/should be. To address local ordnance noise complaints, the track and support columns were filled with sand prior to leaving the manufacturing site. Whereas similar roller coasters like Batman and Alpengeist have that distinctive 'roar' to them, Silver Bullet does not, and this likely plays into the (lessened) psychological effect of the ride. One cycle lasts approximately 2min 30sec, which is slightly longer than Raptor but slightly shorter than Busch Gardens' Montu. Silver Bullet isn't a lousy ride per se, but in its "class" (that is, inverted looping coasters) it's definitely one of the weaker installations worldwide. TL;DR- Silver Bullet doesn't have nearly as much punch as Dorney Park's Talon and isn't even in the same LEAGUE as Kings Island's Banshee. The flatspins (a.k.a. corkscrews) were not very intense and the train limped through the cobra roll element at what felt like a snail's pace. I'm glad I rode this for the coaster credit, but my next trip to Knotts might see me passing on this one. Definitely not cracking my list of Top 10 inverted coasters. Fun? Yes. Extreme? Noooope. Knott's Berry Farm has lots of fun things to do, for all ages. Camp Snoopy is great for the kids, whereas Knott's has lots of mild rides for older folks too. Most of my visits to Knott's are primarily for my kids' enjoyment, but heck, everybody's gotta have a little fun, right? And, that's where the Silver Bullet comes in. "Hey kids, it's time for Daddy to scream his head off!" This is my favorite ride at Knott's Berry Farm...it's awesome! No crickitty crackity jolts or bruise injuries from a roller coaster; this ride is as smooth as silk! You want fast?...oh yeah, this ride has got that covered as well. There are plenty of loops, beautifully smooth and fast drops, and twists and turns galore. One thing I don't like is standing in line, and this ride is one of the better ones for shorter wait times. The line may be a little long at times, like during our visit over Spring Break, but the line typically moves pretty fast. The reason here is because each roller coaster holds several people (typically around 32), which can be unloaded and reloaded simultaneously. Compare this to other rides at the park, like the High Sierra Ferris Wheel or the Coast Rider, and you will notice a significant difference in the reduced wait time for this ride. The staff at Knott's maintaining this ride also keeps this ride running smoothly, like clockwork. Okay, so now what are you still doing reading this review?!?! This one was more of a thriller ride compared to Xcelerator this one had more twisting around I couldn't tell if I was upside down or rightside up and again I was only seeing blurry lights lol. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I think I screamed the entire time this ride went along. Gah. I'm pretty bad with roller coasters but I only went along because our entire group was going. The wait was 2 hours. Yes you enter, swivel around and around and you see the end but then they make you go around again and back to the beginning and gah. But then you finally make it to the top and then get ready for the ride! How to pass the time? Use your phone, talk to your friends, eat popcorn, iono xD I somehow made it through the wait. I did go during Knott's Scary Farm season though, so that may have been why it was uber long. Unless it's usually that long. Then iono xD But you slowly go up. And then you see the top. And at that part for me, I started screaming. Why? Because for the next 45-50 seconds, it kept going fast, spiraled, everywhere, drops, upside down. I basically could not feel myself for the whole time and screamed the entire time xP Yeah I'm not good with drops haha. Although.. spirals were better for me. Iono why. Tip, if you have anything loose, put it elsewhere. Otherwise it'll fall and you'll probably never see it again. :) Let me scream still. Oh yeah! After the ride is over, you will probably be dizzy since your head has lost all sense of equilibrium, so then you probably want to hold on the railing and wait. Don't go down the steps if you can't. This is likely my favorite ride in the park, even if as an adult I'm scared of the darn thing! It's the one ride, where you're seated and your feet dangle beneath you. It starts with a steady climb and great views around you (if you open your eyes, unlike me!). It then dips slightly and swerves to the right to catch its downhill speed. Luckily, it's not a steep drop, of which I can't handle! The rest of the ride is all over the place and you just go with the flow! It turns, twists, and loops, in all sorts of directions. Hence, why they tell flip-flop wearing guests, to remove their sandals beforehand and you can place pocketed items in the cubby just to the side of the ride, so your phone and money don't end up gone forever! The speed is spectacular and the thrill is out of this world. Epic ride! read more

I was really surprised by this ride. Coasters at Knotts are fun, but always feel a bit lacking in something. This ride definitely didn't lack anything. From the get go, the long line moved incredibly quickly which was a great surprise. Then once on the ride, you're zipped, flipped, and twisted around from start to finish. The whole ride is an incredible rush. I just wish it lasted longer! This is definitely the new must do for trips to Knotts. On a side note...they need to have the train or at least the track painted silver. The ride's called Silver Bullet yet the only thing close to silver on the ride are the grey track pylons. Just seems weird. I get the naming of it, just maybe have the ride reflect the name a bit. read more

This ride is really fun and different than the rest of the inverted onces I have been on. This one does not give me so much of a headache as some of the other ones I have been on and different as well compared to the Batman I have been on during the Six Flags. The drop is cool all the way to the inversions as this one keeps you guessing. Ride lines move fast as well. read more

Favorite ride at knott's! It's a bit scary and the twists and turns are surprising. Right when you start getting used to the ride the coaster flips over so that by the time the ride is over, you have done a million 360s. Me and my cousin were dizzy afterward but it wasn't bad, just that feeling you get when you get off being a boat for a few hours. Looks a bit scary when your about to get on, but while your waiting in line you get the butterflies. You head on into the station where the staff tells you,"how many riders?. You say,"one"(or any amount). he/she says ok,"row one please", when the station is empty because the line is empty he/she says,"take any row available. You say,"ok. And head on into your row. The staff's check your seatbelt and your good to go. Then the operator says,"dispatch". You make a turn right and go up a 45m lift hill then you go sending down a 109ft drop while doing a 150-180° turn, You head into a loop and hear everyone having a fun time. You make a weird sloppy big twisted g-force turn and then head into a Cobra Roll you finish the cobra roll and head into a zero-g roll,"you still hear everyone screaming(plus you)". You hit a nice cool turn above ghost town and into a corkscrew and then another weird turn thingy that hits you out of your seat, then you hit another corkscrew and finally a helix with 3.0G force which pushes you really hard into your seat. And finally you hit the brake run and make a right turn into the station where you unbuckle your seatbelt and head on with your day at Knott's Berry Farm. read more

Just rode this today and it's always a lot of fun! It's a B&M inverted coaster kind of like Batman: The Ride up in Six Flags Magic Mountain and feels both intense and extremely smooth at the same time. The red and yellow design is quite iconic for the park and even after 14 years it hasn't lost its luster; it's still capable of delivering some excellent thrills for the day while my feet get to relax and dangle in the wind. Definitely one of the more popular attractions at Knott's Berry Farm for a reason. read more

The wait for this coaster wasn't too bad. If you don't know which coaster the Silver Bullet is, it's the yellow and red one in Ghost Town. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes on a Sunday. When we got on, I noticed that this one has us sitting down, yet our feet are dangling over the ground, so that really freaked my husband out, since he has a mild fear of heights. The roller coaster moves in a way where the track is above our heads so we're just dangling and sitting as it speeds through the twists and turns. Honestly it was scary, yet exhilarating. This coaster probably had the most loops and rolls than anything else I rode that day. Thrill level to me is a 5, but I'd give this coaster a 4, because it was a little too thrilling for me. It suffices as a good coaster, but it doesn't crack the top 20 of best rides I've experienced in my life. I prefer a good balance of story and thrill on my rides, so while this is good there are other rides here that tell more of a story and are still exciting. Like that one mine ride with the creepy audio-animatronics. It's a decent ride, but not enough to get me to come back to knotts for another maybe 5-8 years. Until next time! read more

Just rode this for the first time ever (then I was forced to go on it 2 more times .-. ) .. I gave it a 3/5 honestly I think the thrill rating for this ride should be a 3 UNLESS you're in the front row (then it's a 4) This ride looks intimidating however the scariest thing on the ride is when you get on the ride and it goes up the first hill... The kids loved this ride! It is one of the first rides you come to when you enter. I'm regretting not doing it with them. There are not any huge climbs or drops but there is still speed with turns, corkscrews and loops. Feet dangling, and the floor drops beneath you before you leave. Silver Bullet, one of my favorite rides is a definite ride with friends. I rode it with most of my friends and when our picture came out, we loved it.
