Went here every week for a BYOB (Build your own burger) greatest darn burger I've ever had. I couldn't be more excited about it every time I went, this is coming from someone who has moved and lived all over the US so I have had my fair share of food. The workers are amazing and always make me feel like a valued customer. They are always clean and ready for their customers it's unbelievable. This Silver Diner in Ashburn is amazing! Not like what you are used to! Full bar, including mixed drinks, wine, and beer. The staff was great. The food was delicious. I had the meatless tacos. Very pleased. Just watch out for the pickled ginger! Thought the top of my head was coming off‍ but that didn't stop me from eating it. My girlfriend had a breakfast omelet. I had the breakfast omelet a few days later. Outstanding. Definitely enjoyed it the next morning too! The portions are more than generous! We are going back again Thursday. The service was excellent! My husband and I were not wowed when tried eating here over a year ago. But we decided to give it another chance Saturday night after watching a movie at One Loudoun. What A Change! The food was really good -- soup and salad with grilled chicken for me and soup/chicken tenders meal for my husband. I've been here twice now and they are doing a really great job. The staff is attentive and the food is hot and timely. I struggled to find something on the menu that excited me though. It's fancy food for a diner. I was super excited about a new breakfast place near me, but they don't even have gravy for the biscuits! There needs to be a few more options for "regular" food in my opinion. I appreciate the "flexitarian" menu but it's just a little pretentious. I've tried the Reuben and the steak sandwich. My husband and has gotten 2 different salads. It was ok, not fantastic. It's the staff that get my 5 stars though. The hosts are very friendly and i was lucky to get my favorite server, Blake, twice!! He's so sweet, friendly, outgoing and very attentive. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to in this case. We haven't been to a Silver Diner in years so I was eager to take the family to the new Ashburn location. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The pastrami reuben had almost no meat and what it had was fatty and chewy. I took a pic of half, which was the same as the other. The Philly cheesesteak was mostly onions and very little meat. Hardly any fries, although my son said his were still good. $30 for two underwhelming sandwhiches. Cobb salad and peppermint shake were just OK. For appetizers we had crispy Brussels and Avacado toast, both tasted good actually. Service was just ok, no refills, no check-ins until the end to give the check. The experience in general was disappointing even though we wanted it to be good. let me start with I have had mostly breakfast here and the crabcake sandwich. All were acceptable enough for me to try the "Local Tenderloin Steak Frites"...bigget mistake of my life, worst meal of my life. 1) the tenderloin is misnamed. It is so tough i actually had a hard time currting it, but the taste was good (thanks to the pesto hollandaise) so i tried to eat it. I got part way through one of the medalions but my jaws hurt so much i had the stop...they went into the garbage. 2) the friench fries were so thin and overdone that it like eating toothpicks. Into the garbage also. 3) the roasted vegetables were brussel sprouts and sweet potato cubes. ...into the garbage. 4) the salad itself was passable, but i order requefort dressing for it and i got a totally flavorless, white goop. ate half of it, the rest into the garbage. This was a total waste of $27. i would have done better going to MacDonald's. Never again. read more

4 friends and I visited for dinner on a Friday night, and we had an awesome experience! We arrived around 8pm. It was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. Our waitress was wonderful-- very friendly and attentive. She explained the seasonal selections on the menu to us, all of which sounded delicious. There was a very wide selection of food on the menu, which was admittedly a bit overwhelming at first. There was definitely something for everyone! Two friends and I ended up ordering build-your-own burgers, one ordered steak frites, and another had lamb meatball sliders. We also ordered cheese fries as an appetizer. The fries came out quickly and were absolutely delicious; we finished the plate in minutes. All of our entrees arrived together and in a timely manner, and they all tasted amazing. The ingredients were definitely of high quality, and everything was very flavorful. As for expenses, the menu items are a bit on the pricy side compared to a typical diner. However, we considered it well worth it for the tasty food we got. All of us left happy and satisfied, and we're excited to return in the future! read more

Today my boyfriend and I went to the Silver diner for lunch. As soon as we got in we were sat.The waitress came over and took our drink orders and when she came back she only had my boyfriends sprite. She then scurried off and said the bar was making my drink. She came back over a little while later with my drink and quickly turned around to leave. I had to stop her to ask her for straws. She then tells us that they only have a little straws and brings over straws that were half the size of my glass. We ordered chicken tenders for an appetizer and they were really good. I ordered the country scrambler and it wasn't good. The pancakes tasted like paper, and the gravy had no seasoning. My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs and wasn't happy with how his steak was cooked. By the time we flag down the waitress I was already finished eating my food. Luckily a manager walked by and took care of everything. I understand things happen and sometimes people need more training but I also appreciate when a manager can step up and take responsibility for his staff and their performance. We will Probably return and give this place another chance. For nothing else the drinks were amazing. read more

I know this restaurant is new it was clean and inviting the food was good but the service was lacking. We waited 15 minutes just for a server to greet us. In order for that to have happened we had to go to the hosta station and ask if we had a waiter. The food then took another 20 minutes. The salad that was supposed to come out first was forgotten. All in all I think the staff needs more training and to be honest if I'm gonna spend that kind of money we spent for four people to eat dinner there I'm going to go to somewhere with a much better dining experience read more

All I can say by looking at the menu....It's the most expensive "Diner" in the world. Typically a diner is fairly inexpensive. I have lived around the country from New Jersey to Michigan and Los Angeles and eaten at various diners/family restaurants and the pricing is nuts. read more
