My husband and I really enjoy the Silver Diner on the Avenue at White Marsh. The food is amazing, the menu has a fantastic variety, and I'm especially grateful for the gluten free choices. On our very first visit (and frequently since then), we have had the blessing of having Yuri as our waitress. She is such a sweet young lady, her smile is contagious, and she is an amazing waitress. I love the layout of this diner. Having a disability, I find that the isles are wider and more open, making it easier for me to move through the restaurant more comfortably and safely, and that is greatly appreciated. read more

Nice retro diner atmosphere. Staff seemed confused, or just slow, like no one wanted to help or seat anyone. Our server was good though. Look, don't go here and order a basic breakfast. You'll pay way too much for some basic eggs and bacon, or whatever. If you go, get something you can't get elsewhere. Get something different. First time at Silver Diner!! From what I've heard from other people, the Silver Diner at the Avenue has one of the better ambiance and decor. There is seating inside and also outside. I got the kickin short rib burger which was pretty good. If you like meat, it has the patty, bacon, and short rib in it. There was nothing spectacular about this location. It does have an outdoor patio which is a perk for those who like to sit outside. The bar area also has high top seating that some of the other locations do not have. I wasn't in a yelp state of mind so I didn't snag any pictures. I kept my order simple with some water and I built my own omelette. Building your own omelette is not on the menu but you can do it if you don't mind paying $1.50 for each item. I think I was charged for the basics cheese omelette and then the charges rolled in when I added bacon, spinach and onions. I added onions to my home fries and that was a charge as well. My food came out perfect and just the way I ordered it. If you've been to one Silver Diner then you've been to them all. The food and prices are decent but if you're craving diner food then go to a real one not a chain. read more

Stopped in today for some breakfast. Friendly greeting as we entered. We were seated right away. We started with water. I ordered the western omelette which came with a biscuit and home fries. After the order was placed I realized that I forgot to order a side of bacon. I was able to get my waitress attention and she had no problem adding it to my order. I know it was early but, I chose to try the tropical sidecar drink. All of my food came out together and I didn't have to wait for my bacon that I ordered a little late. Lol. The restaurant was a pretty nice size. It wasn't crowded but, there were a nice amount of people dining in. I enjoyed my food. It was average. The drink was just ok. We decided on a last minute family dinner on a Friday night. There were about 10 of us. It was very busy and the wait was almost an hour, which was shared right from the start. The staff really tried to accommodate our party despite it being so busy. We were finally seated in 2 booths and ordered our meals. I always look forward to brunch at the Silver Diner!! Today I visited with some friends. I love the high protein Oat Milk Protein Pancakes. The side of whipped almond coconut cream is heavenly. One of my friends had avocado toast, sadly the eggs were overcooked, and cold, but the toast itself was great. The other friend enjoyed her egg dish very much! We had a lovely experience at the silver diner! Came in as a party of 4 and seated immediately. Their cocktail / beer selection isn't vast but they have the basics. Our waitress was extremely friendly and personable. I ordered the meatloaf, which was really good! The mashed potatoes were my favorite part. One of my friends ordered the chicken pot pie and I tasted it. It was a little too basil-forward, but other than that it was good. I also tried a bite of a grilled cheese and it was perfect. First impressions, clean, airy and inviting. We were greeted right away by a lovely woman. Our server Lila (?) was so pleasant and happy. I ordered the shakshouka and my wife ordered the avocado toast with scrambled egg. The wait time was adequate and the prices were comparable to other restaurants. I loved the variety of choices on the menu and what farms they get their food. The shakshouska was an explosion of flavor and textures. You gotta love tomatoes in order to like this dish. The crispy chick peas was a nice contrast to the over easy eggs. And the pomegranates was a nice burst of sweetness. I am definitely coming back to try the other dishes. read more

Ive had a few things here. I thought the shrimp and grits were solid. However the real star of the show is the Belgian waffles (they don't miss). Everything else has been solid, sort of what you would expect from a typical diner with maybe a little modern flare. I've been to Silver Diner in Alexandria, so when we were in White Marsh, I had no trouble choosing Silver Diner for breakfast. Having been to two different locations, I was impressed at the same level of service, cleanliness and food quality at both. I love that they use fresh and local in so much of their menu. That Compass Coffee is phenomenal. We've already ordered some of their beans so we can have it at home. The breakfast we had was really good... perfectly cooked chicken and waffles with 3 dipping options. The waffle was light and fluffy, but still nicely crispy on the outside. The chicken was lightly crispy and flavorful. The syrup, sweet chili sauce and sausage gravy were all perfect options to make every bite exactly what you wanted. We live just outside New York City, and diners are everywhere here, but I've yet to find one as good as Silver Diner. read more

When I first heard that a new diner was coming to the Avenue, I was super excited! However, after my visit this weekend, I was completely underwhelmed. We arrived around 9pm Saturday and were sat immediately after arriving. It took a while for someone to come over and greet us. Eventually, 3 different waiters came to our table confused about who would be taking over to serve us. Very awkward scenario and total lack of organization. After the confusion among waiters, we finally were able to order drinks, both opted for the hibiscus lemonade which was pretty tasty. Now, when dining out I expect drink orders to be taken first, followed by appetizers, entrees, and then dessert. The waiter returned to the table flustered multiple times in what felt like a rushed manner. As a result the appetizer and entrees came out together which was a bit annoying especially when you're trying to focus on enjoying one dish before the next. The appetizer was the loaded cheese fries which were topped with cheese and bacon. The cheese was barely present. The turkey chili was okay flavor wise. The skewered shrimp dish had great flavor but a lot of ingredients present that weren't listed on the menu. The chicken pot pie was the biggest let down. The menu description did show vegetables that typically are not in pot pie like mushrooms and squash. However, we were expecting the dish to look like a traditional pot pie. Instead my husband received a large bowl of what looked like soup with two crackers ... big disappointment. So much so that we returned the dish and he settled for chicken fingers to go. The brownie dessert was okay as well. When I think of a diner, I think of traditional home style comfort foods and delicious breakfast. I want to return for breakfast but I just do not think so. I finally got to stop in to this new location yesterday. The service was fantastic! We were immediately greeted by the hostess. The place is very loud. My wife asked if there was a quiet table. The hostess found us a booth in the far back corner away from the bar and music. It was still a little loud, but much better. And the fact that they tried to accommodate goes a long way. I was expecting the normal diner food but the menu was a little more upscale. They had some unique dishes that looked appetizing. I settled on the Skewered Shrimp Bibimbap. They were amazing! Great flavor and just the right amount of heat. My wife had a salad with shrimp and it was equally good. I love diners and am glad that a better than traditional one has opened near us. There was a long wait so we opted to sit at the bar. It took a while for someone to take our drink orders and then another twenty minutes to take our breakfast orders. I ordered the American Favorite (2 eggs, home fries, bacon, and a biscuit) and my friend ordered the oat milk protein pancakes. The food arrived lukewarm but it was so chaotic around us that we just ate it. The woman next to us received cold food and ended up walking out. Compared to the other locations this one is the best. I'm not a real big fan of diner food but I wanted to give it a shot. The ambiance and decor was really nice. It definitely gives that classic diner flare. The waiters were really nice and the tables were very clean. I liked the fact that they had gluten free options for myself and for my family. I went with the Red, White, and Blue French Toast, they were able to make it Gluten Free for me which was pretty cool. They pride themselves in also have Amish Farm to table options for eggs and protein. I thought that was awesome as well. The chicken sausage was delicious. This was my third time at this diner. I keep coming back because of the food. I am not a native of Maryland. However I was a little disappointed with my breakfast this third time. I ordered salted caramel french toast, turkey bacon and chicken sausage. The french toast was good, but nothing special like previous meals had been. The turkey bacon was good, cooked very well, really tender. The chicken sausage however was under cooked and boiled. One of the great things about diner food is you can usually get huge portions and not have to pay an arm and a leg. That wasnt necessarily the case with the silver Moon diner. It's a bit on the pricey side for a diner. On a very slow night, I felt rushed by the server, just to get out of there. I had gotten breakfast. I made the mistake of getting some kind of chicken sausage instead of regular sausage. It didn't really have any flavor and didn't hit the spot. I noticed that the menu has some bougie looking dishes. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that that ambitious menu is probably biting off more than they could chew. I may go back at some point and try something else, something simpler. However based upon my initial experience there, I am in no rush! read more
