Every staff member is helpful, regardless of whether the current need is in their job description. All laundry is done daily, and the facility is always sparkly clean. The compassion we experienced was infinitely superior to nearly every setting we've encountered in life; I felt so cared for even in our initial admission meeting. Arelis, the Executive Director, met with us and answered all our questions. During the tour, Mom was delighted to learn that she was able to decorate her own apartment with her own furniture and trinkets. She loves her new apartment! On Mom's first day, Arelis welcomed her and strategically assigned her a table seat so she could comfortably join the Prairie Point community. It did not take long for Mom to make new friends. In my mom's early life she was a cater. She considers herself a gourmet chef. Her expectations for quality food high. She raves about the food at Prairie Point. During her first three months in her new home, she gained 20 pounds! Monica (the activities director) and her staff, does an outstanding job planning outings, special performances, and unique occasions. Each month a calendar is posted announcing all the events. A daily activities schedule is also posted as a reminder of what is happening. Some of mom's favorites are flower arranging class, social teas, parties, manicures, games and crafts. The facility is always decorated in holiday/seasonal decor. It creates a fun environment that gives everyone something to look forward to throughout the year. Mom's health has been an emotional roller coaster in 2025. Throughout the year we had to make many adjustments. Her nurses: Lili, Doreen and Jean. have been instrumental in keeping me informed and helping me communicate with her doctors. My mother loves them. She is extremely grateful for their help. Other invaluable people are the CNAs. There are too many to mention by name. They all have one thing in common, patience! They make her feel comfortable, safe and loved. They truly are amazing. Knowing that my mom is engaged in a social environment that is filled with a variety of interesting events throughout her day gives me peace of mind. She is living a quality senior life. No one wants to lose their independence. However, when it happens, due to health and aging, Prairie Point is a true blessing. Director isn't interested in helping or training staff to properly care for the those suffering from brain disease. Meal times are a huge struggle, they need more supervision, many resident need help that isn't offered while food is hot, I saw one gentleman eat his paper napkin, no staff anywhere. when I bring this to Directors attention she fake listens and pretends to be helpful. That's the sad part, she could have a gem but instead it's a disappointment. I have asked staff to tell my mom what she is eating and the aide literally told me "that's not my job" no team work here! They also play music that staff enjoys, rap, rock and alternative, too bad since the residents enjoy music from their generation! Glad we aren't there anymore!

When she told me about options about the shower schedule she had to do a bed bath on me and treated me with dignity and made me feel confortable. From that day on i knew that while she was there i was in good hands with a caring person. There was a few more people there that always made me confortable and these people are the reeptionist i always called her georgeous and she called me hansome she made me feel at home i didn't get here name and i am sorry. there was two more people that really kicked my butt in therapy and they were Agnes and Ross they really worked me because they knew how bad i wanted to go home and they did not take it easy on me i appreciated that there were days when i got back to my room and just exhausted. This is the reason that this review is not five stars and it comes down to privacy. This is more for the second shift when the door is closed to the room it is only proper to knock and wait to be answered before coming in to the room. They had a habit of just walking in the room without knocking. There was a couple of times where i was in the bathroom and they just barged in and opened the door. Even though it is a kind of a hospital vibe when the door to the room is closed it should be considered being private and the courtesy is to knock not just walk in the door. if i ever have to go back for rehab i would go back to avondale

Everyone at the Center, from my attending Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, to the Social Worker, Dietician, Housekeepers, and folks in the Cafeteria, treated me with the utmost level of professionalism, compassion, and thoughtfulness. I can genuinely say that each member of my healthcare team treated me as if I were a member of their family. I can honestly say that I would not have walked out of the Center if not for them...if not for each and everyone of them.

She said they have sponge bathed her which consists of being wiped down with diaper wipes. She is there for rehabilitation from a fractured femur and has gone to rehab 3 times in 6 days. I am more than disappointed. I called the front desk which took more than 25 rings to be answered when it was answered I asked for the nurses station and was told my call would probably not be answered because they were too busy. My mother went in healthy and completely aware of who she is and where she was. Last night she came down with a cold, fever, possibly Covid at 4:00pm the next day was finally given Tylenol to help with her fever. She was delirious and had no idea where she was. This place is awful. I am sorry we were sent here.

Due to the global pandemic, our application and move-in process was complicated and delayed, so our family was very stressed. I cannot say enough positive words about Starr and Vicki. They communicated with me regularly throughout the process to ease my stress and offer comfort. Even now, a few months after Dad's move-in, they still email or text me just to say hello and see how my Dad and the rest of the family is doing. These two women are kind and compassionate, and they truly helped our family through a very difficult time! There were times when I felt discouraged, so I would call Starr because I knew that her positive encouragement would make me feel better. She even called Dad to encourage him when I was worried that he was getting disconsolate. Now Dad is settled in at Victory Centre and he is very happy! He tells me that everyone is so kind and helpful. He says that the food is very good and he is happy with his apartment. He told me that it is perfect for him because he has privacy and independence in his own space, but he feels safe with the regular check-ins. He put it this way: "the staff makes themselves quietly known throughout the day." The staff is kind and they treat the residents with respect. I have been able to relax knowing that his medications are administered on time every day and he is being well cared for. The staff communicated with me regularly about my dad, and I have had wonderful conversations with Lora and others. One last note, we really appreciate that Victory Centre is taking the global pandemic seriously. They are taking every necessary precaution to keep their residents, caregivers, and staff safe! In comparing numbers of cases at local facilities, it is obvious that Victory Centre is taking the right precautions. I miss my Dad, and I wish that I could go and hang out with him in his apartment, but I know that he is in excellent hands! The caregivers and staff at Victory Centre are true heroes and wonderful human beings!

The warmth, concern, heart, and genuine care they feel is palpable throughout. As a result, she and her friends are comfortable, engaged, well-fed, observed by such loving, caring, dedicated nurses and sweet aides, and I have such relief knowing that she is living a life with purpose and activity, and constantly tells me how much she loves it there, and raves about the staff and the residents. Actually, a client of mine told me how much his Mom loved it there years ago, and I thought of that when I first brought her to visit. Best decision ever!! She was very scared, hesitant, but they turned her around gently but quickly and she is back to her fun self again, and it is just wonderful. There are no words for the peace having her there gives me. It's a blessed Victory! When I asked one of her now great friends about his experience living there her first week as a resident he enthusiastically said "best group of people I ever met" - so true. Smiles are all over both staff and residents and I love just being around them, but my Mom is so busy now, I have a hard time finding her when I visit - I love it!! Once again, without mentioning names, if they are employed there, I'm describing each one with this glowing review, and because they mean so much to me, and consider so many dear friends now, I will not leave anyone out, because I will run out of room. Just know this attitude started at the front door on the first day, and never disappointed since. I know she is in good hands, and it means the world to me - and so do they. After months of numerous phone calls, face-to-face talks, and visits, they still are serving my dad meals with gluten, knowing he has celiac and that his celiac is cancer-causing. It took an oncologist diagnosis of celiac-aggravated Stage 4 cancer, and threats of legal action to FINALLY get them to comply to serving him gluten free meals. Just this week, Jim, one of the Activity Directors, was fired suddenly, after three years of providing great service to the residents. Food is awful, and lacks choices or quality. Have a special diet? Too bad. Eat what they make-- and pay $400/month for it! Mom needs low sodium and asked for alternatives for breakfast. She was told that she should just eat the sausage. Ummm....no. She cannot. Please do not treat her like an incompetent child. She is fully aware of what she can and cannot eat! But the most egregious?? Try having no way for the EMT's to access an apartment after hours. My mom fell and hit her head. She couldn't open the door. They had to break the lock to get in! And five months later, the lock is still broken. Still not convinced to stay away? This week, they drove my mom to Sherman Hospital for an appointment she had there. The bus never returned. My mom called me, saying she'd been waiting over 2 hours. My mom, who is 87 years old, was told they were coming and they never came. I called to find out when she could expect the bus and was told, 'oh, I thought she was home'. They had *no idea* that my mom was left behind. I had to go and get her and bring her back. Needless to say, she is moving to Clarendale at the end of this month. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from this den of incompetence and disregard. oh, and the other review that mentions the wonderful Director, Brian? he lasted about 6 weeks.

He took us to the desired apts, allowing us to " get a feel" for the size and style, layout while also answering all questions , ( trust me there were a lot ). As we were looking at the different floor plans, he was also talking and showing us all of the amenities throughout the community. We ended up at the main restaurant, where he invited us to return and enjoy breakfast ,lunch, or dinner, , further getting a feel for what goes on, and resident interaction.After we completed the tour, we asked for a few minutes to sit and chat, but also observe how some of the other residents interact daily. We were very pleased, with the looks, the tour, and also with Brian's patient and knowledge, and the "No Pressure" attitude. My mom said she felt good about everything!! We agreed to return the next day with my son so he could see and get a feel for the community where she would be staying. He agreed, it was comfortable and the right place for grandma. After having a little discussion, we all agreed and signed the lease. What a wonderful experience for mom, as well as myself, and even my son.
