Cute little set up at the golf course. Went in right at opening time during week, we waited for 4-6min for waitress to come to the host stand as there was no one there when we walked in couple minutes after 10 (opening) It was nice to enjoy the restaurant to ourselves for half hour before it started to get busier, so definitely come early before lunchtime if you want it more quieter. The deviled eggs was a hit and miss, some pieces were over boiled by taste but then some were cooked perfectly. Steak and eggs was ok, the steak was super thin, definitely not expected as I usually get from other places that are normal cut. The sauce was really good with both the steak and eggs. I'll definitely come and give them another try and go for something that's highly recommended.

Came here for dinner and my experience had both a good, bad and and an ugly aspect to it. The good: the restaurant is beautifully situated on a golf course, service was friendly and they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Truffle fries were tasty and the Social Sangria cocktail was delicious. The bad: The rest of the food we ordered was just "mid". The chicken skewers had a weird sauce that did not taste like the KBBQ sauce advertised and were served cold. The ugly: The lobster mac and cheese had the consistency of soup- thick sauce with overcooked noodles drowning out any semblance of lobster. The cheese sauce was bland and heavy- they thankfully took this off our bill. Although there are not many trendy/elevated dining options in QC, I doubt I will be back.

The patio was nicely shaded with umbrellas and the misters made it quite comfortable even though it was a warm day. The server was friendly, and the food was excellent! We shared the meat and cheese board and the truffle fries and that was more than enough for 2. The truffle fries may be the best I've ever had and will be coming back for those alone! On the patio, there is a large Jenga game and cornhole just off the patio. Great place for families, or just to have a beer with a view!

Came in here for brunch on Sunday after church. I've seen it advertised and had never been so we tried it out. It was a bit windy so we sat inside instead of outside on the patio. In hindsight I'd wished I would have chosen the patio. But next time I'll know better. It has a gorgeous overview of the golf course, flowers, and lots of great sunshine. Not shade if you need. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was delightfully delicious! I'm a little picky on my steak but this was perfectly medium rare. I loved it. Only thing I would do differently next time is to delete the hollandaise sauce. I had to scrape it off. No biggie, that's on me. I also had a cappuccino and it was nice. Not super hot so by the time I got half way through it it was cool. Service was a bit slow and it seemed there was one guy handling the entire inside. It wasn't that full but he was hopping. I did have to ask for water a couple times.

I recommend this place as a brunch option in this part of town or even if you're farther away. It's located on a golf course. We went on a weekend morning and it was moderately filled but service was not affected. - Attentive and polite staff - Pretty atmosphere and seating inside the restaurant. Nice views to see the golf course if you sit in the right seats. There's an actual bar inside - Food is very good. I really have no complaints 1. Try the steak. Probably best entree 2. Eggs Benedict came out a bit over and they corrected without issue right away 3. Fried chicken was good! 4. I got the Chilaquiles and it was very good. Might be too rich for breakfast for me but no issues for me at all. I like this place. I would like to take more friends that visit from out of town to this place. Nice vibe, good food, alcohol available, nice views and great staff. What's not to like? Oh yeah. The only thing is the flies, but it's on a golf course the doors keep opening. Not sure if they can help this anyway!

Hubs and I arrived for a quick bite to eat and we were seated right away. Our waiter was very polite and friendly. This restaurant is located near a golf course with a decent amount of parking. You can choose a table or to sit at the bar. We decided on the shareable plates and the food took about 20ish minutes to come out. Pork belly - pros: pork belly was cooked well and you can definitely taste the maple syrup flavor. Cons: This is an appetizer portion with only 4-5 pieces. You only get hit with sweetness. It needed salt. I added hot sauce to this and it tasted great! Deviled eggs: pros: a good amount to share amongst two people. Very simple flavor. Presentation was also nice. Cons: needs salt. I ate this with hot sauce and it was perfect for me. Ahi tuna: pros: chips tasted great. It was presented beautifully. Cons: tuna tasted too sweet. This needed salt badly and other complex flavors. I believe it had plain avocado on the bottom. Unfortunately we did not finish this plate.

Took our friends from out of town to breakfast. I was able to make reservations the same morning for 7 people. We were seated right away and the staff is friendly. It's beautiful next to the golf course and there's lots of seating. We shared the deviled eggs and calamari. Both were delicious. I got the lobster Benedict and it was so good. The eggs were overdone and not oozing when I cut into it. Otherwise, the flavors and lobster were so good. My husband's huevos ranchero was full of flavor and my friend's steak and eggs was delicious. Food here can't go wrong! I will definitely come back here!

Nikki was wonderful & totally added to the vibe of Social Birdie! The mimosa flight was delish and my son and I enjoyed the chicken Caesar wrap & turkey club (sub white cheddar). yum! Casual, relaxed airy spot with great energy! GO!

I really wanted to love this place, especially since it's right in our neighborhood. The restaurant is very well appointed and beautifully decorated, creating a great atmosphere. However, the experience didn't quite live up to the aesthetic. * Arrival & Service: We had an 11:30 AM reservation for a family lunch on Saturday. Parking was a major challenge because the lot is shared with the golf course. Even though it was busy, we were seated quickly. They were actually out of physical menus, so we had to wait a bit before we could even see our options. * The Drinks: The coffee service was a struggle. My first cup was served with grounds in it; the latte tasted like water, and we eventually had to ask for it to be remade entirely. * The Food: When ordering, we were told they were out of breakfast potatoes and would be substituting fries. While the presentation of the plates was beautiful, the execution was hit-or-miss. Our tacos and wings were served cold, and the breakfast sandwich was disappointing. On the bright side, the chicken and waffles were great. * The Logistics: The kitchen took a little longer than usual, though we weren't in a rush. One thing I absolutely loved was the ability to pay the bill directly at the table--it's such a convenient feature. Final Verdict: For a $120 lunch, we left feeling pretty underwhelmed. Between the cold food and the service hiccups, I don't think we'll be back

Going to be one of my favorite go to places as it's only about 20 minutes from my San Tan Valley location. A cool little restaurant associated with a golf course and club. And while there were plenty of folks getting a bite to eat after their round of golf or a little tennis, there were also many people like us from the community just there for a good meal. We sat out on the patio because we had both our dogs with us very comfortable spot with heaters for when the sun goes down. The menu is kind of amazing because given the location you're kind of assuming it's just going to be informal pub food like most golf courses have. But while they have burgers and salads, there's another whole page of entrée stuff that's quite sophisticated. And there's a separate craft cocktail, beer and wine menu that has a great selection. For our appetizers, we sampled the chicken skewers and the deviled eggs. The chicken skewers were a bit dry, but they had a nice Korean rub on them that made them tasty. The deviled eggs were divine. For our entrées, we did a braised short rib that was super tender and falling off the bone like it should be. And we also did a Chilean Sea Bass served on a bed of forbidden rice and broccolini. Pretty amazing and exceeded our expectations for what was available here. For dessert, I got an Affogato, which was served in the traditional way. It was delicious and a nice end to the meal. The service was a real shining star from when we first sat down all the way through the meal until we got the check. We got good help with the menu, our water glasses stayed full, and the appetizers and entrées were appropriately spaced to allow us to enjoy both. There's plenty of parking around the facility due to the country club feel of the whole place. The tables were spaced nicely so that our dogs didn't bother any of the other patrons. And the staff came by and interacted with them several times. I'm very happy I found this place and highly recommend it, even though I'd like to keep it my little secret for local dining.

    Gorgeous cocktails!

Saw this bar/restaurant and had to stop as my mother's name is Berdie (different spelling, but hey!) and she is social! Sat outside on the beautiful patio and ordered a few cocktails. They were all so pretty and tasted fabulous of course! Our waitress was so friendly and even got me a T-shirt to give to my mom! We didn't eat as we had reservations elsewhere, but the food all looked amazing coming out...we will have to come back and have dinner! Next time!

Another great place to eat! Excellent service great food and a nice place to eat outside. I had steak and eggs and hash browns a little pricey but for what you got it was worth it. I'll be back and bring some friends along!!

The woman who gave me my food talked up the jam but it was really tart & we didn't like it. In addition, I paid $6 for coffee. I went up for a refill & there was only decaf. The bartenders said they were brewing more but kinda blew me off. They were way more concerned with the alcohol buying/tipping customers. After 10+ mins I went back up to just wait. After all the bar customers left, a bartender finally acknowledged me & she took my cup & filled it up behind the bar. Supposedly, they'll have a dedicated coffee area ready at the end of August. But, at this point I feel that you shouldn't go to the Olive Mill for hot food, especially at breakfast. They're soo popular that they've stopped caring about flavor. Sad really. Olives & salads your best bet. Nice live music was outside but it was so hot our group decided to go inside.

The patio looks nice for cooler days, and we enjoyed sitting in the little nook that had paintings and small crafts for sale. Recently purchased by new owners from France, I knew I had to try as I love French cuisine. They have a French Specials Board and a Croissant Menu, which my boyfriend both ordered from. We both said we wished there were more French items to choose from. What We Ordered: ~ Coke: served as a can with a mason jar of ice. ~ Goat Cheese Croque Monsieur: My boyfriend loved it, but wished there was more béchamel sauce. The goat cheese compliments the ham really well, and he throughly enjoyed. ~ French Quiche (Chicken, bell pepper, cheddar): I really enjoyed this quiche as it's not something you can find done well in a lot of places. The combination of ingredients work well together. ~ Cappuccino: This was crafted well and I enjoyed the light dusting of topping (believe cinnamon sugar). The espresso paired nicely with the frothed milk and velvety foam. ~ Croissant & Butter: Sadly, this was like any croissant you can get. A skip for us next time, but probably great for a sandwich. Overall, we enjoyed our meal though I'm not a fan of counter service. We'd return again, and pick a table more in the open so it's easily to deliver food to us.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Slate Bistro and Bar 4415 E Village Parkway Gilbert, 85298 Companion and I drove 27 miles just to give this restaurant a try. It is located in a gated community on a golf course, but is open to the public. We had a reservation for 5 o'clock and were seated immediately. Our waitress Lauryn greeted us with a lovely smile and provided menus. Companion and I both had virgin margaritas, companions with cranberry and mine with strawberry. Both were excellent. While it was restaurant week, we both decided to order off the regular menu. Prices were very moderate for all items which was a surprise. I started off with a complimentary onion soup which while not authentic was a good try at the flavor and texture. It came with a cap of cheese properly melted over the top. Companion ordered the fish and chips which came with some excellent french fries and were cooked perfectly. For myself, I had the Walleye which was pan fried and which had a parmesan/potato covering that protects the fish from the heat and keeps it moist. The walleye was perfectly cooked and a delight to eat. Unfortunately, it came with brussel sprouts which while seasoned properly were undercooked to the point that I could not put a fork in it nor cut it with a knife. Dessert was interesting. Companion ordered affogato which is a ball of vanilla ice cream which then has a shot of espresso poured over it. The ice cream was good but the espresso seemed a bit harsh over it. For myself, I had the strawberry cheesecake gelato, and I found myself in dessert heaven. I've had many gelatos in my life and this one topped them all. Smooth, creamy, and loaded with flavor it was almost hypnotic to eat it. I found out that it is a creation of Villa Dolce Artisan Desserts which is a partner of Sysco Foods. The company produces this wonderful dessert in a 76000 square foot facility located in Glendale, AZ. If I can find a local place that sells the pints I will fill my freezer with it! All told, this was an excellent meal. The tables and floors are immaculately clean. The restrooms were also nice and clean. An easy 5 stars

From the moment you walk in, the customer service stands out. The people working there are always welcoming and inviting. You're greeted like a regular, even if it's your first time. That kind of warmth makes all the difference, especially after a long day out with the family. It's the perfect place to head after spending time at Pecan Lake Entertainment or Fat Cats. Instead of battling crowds and higher prices, you can come here, sit down comfortably, and enjoy a great meal at a much more reasonable price. Whether it's a family night out or a casual date night, it just fits. The food? Consistently good. We started with two bowls of clam chowder. They were decent -- I'm not sure if the to-go order affected the texture or temperature a bit -- but still enjoyable. Not the star of the night, but solid. The wings are always good, perfectly satisfying for a sports grill vibe. The pierogies were delicious and comforting. The Thai chicken salad was fresh and flavorful. But the standouts this visit were definitely the French dip -- absolutely amazing, tender and packed with flavor -- and the blackened chicken breast served with rice pilaf and broccoli almondine. Every bite of that plate was fantastic. Well seasoned, well cooked, and generous portions. They also have amazing weekly dinner specials, which makes it easy to keep coming back without breaking the budget. I'm already planning to come back for the Friday fish fry and to try the prime rib -- I've heard great things. This has become one of our go-to spots.
