Service 5/5 Excellent non-reservation support from the store Manager and one of his associates. It was a holiday weekend and their inventory was almost non-existent. The Manager secured an economy car and had it ready in 10 minutes. The associate called me outside to perform the walk around inspection, perform final review and E-Sign outside on their tablet. The process was done quickly and we were off in record time. Thank-you Donatello (sp)? I appreciate you. Even without reservations (reservations recommended) Enterprise Rent-a-Car came through! Transportation for a crew, or just for you my friends- SYOY!

On June 5, 2023 I made a reservation thru Priceline for a Hertz car rental (dealer's choice) for the Scottsdale, AZ location. Upon arriving at the Scottsdale location I was informed that no cars were presently available and I was directed to the Gilbert, AZ location as it seemed they had cars to rent. I arrived at the Gilbert, AZ location at approximately 10 am. Between that time and approximately noon I waited in line as there was but one female employee and she was tasked with servicing five or six renters in front of me. Though my original reservation reflected a weekly rate of ~$170 I was informed that she could not honor the rate and the best she could offer was ~$200 per week. Having spent the better part of two hours sitting on my hands I elected to accept the higher rate. As I was leaving I asked her if I should bring the vehicle back to her location or the Scottsdale location. She replied "any local location in the greater Phoenix area would be fine". Today, Friday June 8, 2023 I returned the vehicle. In light of the unpleasant wait times I encountered previously I elected to return to the Apache Road, Mesa AZ location - approximately five or ten minutes drive from both the Scottsdale and Gilbert Hertz outlets. Within the past hour I received an email receipt (attached) cataloging two day charges that were within $10 of the initial weekly rate I'd been quoted by Hertz / Priceline, but a line item charge of ~$200 for (Inter city fee). Here, I would invite any casual reader of this letter to place themselves in my position - processing mentally the various irritations I encountered. What might your viewpoint of Hertz thusly be? Please be further informed that it is not my intention to merely swallow the outrageous $200 nonsense-tax (inter city fee) that Hertz is attempting to extract from me. Instead, I shall take any and all steps within my legal rights to fight back. These include but shall not be limited to filing grievances with: Ripoff Report Better Business Bureau Arizona State Attorneys General Office Yelp Local TV and print Media I do understand that Hertz invests significant capital in advertising - presumably intended to generate a positive consumer impression of the company. Perhaps those in a position of power within Hertz may do the mental calculus in considering the negative consequences when consumers and other interested Parties are informed of the experiences such as those I've just articulated.

My vehicle was stolen and I needed transportation and they had one ready to go the following morning . I had to get a rental and insurance would only pay 40 dollars a day which Hertz came in at 38 dollars. Perfect . It's a 2019 with only 20,000 miles on it and I love it. Still haven't replaced my car so in the meantime, it's not so bad with this as my temp. I appreciate the staff and I've now had to extend it four times and I haven't heard a word about them needing it back yet . The staff are very accommodating and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone.

Worst car rental experience ever! The battery in the car we…read morerented died the day we were to depart for the second leg of our vacation. We called Avis Emergency Roadside Service, expecting service like AAA provides. Ha! That didn't happen. The Avis ERS contractor did not carry batteries and told us not to turn off the car after he started it, and to go back to the airport to exchange the vehicle. It took us over 7 hours, much of which we spent in a hotel lobby, since we had checked out, waiting for the Avis ERS driver to show up. To its credit, Avis reimbursed us for the entire cost of the car rental plus $200. That was nice. But two days after we returned from our vacation, Avis had the gall to send us a bill for emergency road service! At the beginning of the rental period, Avis also initially charged us for an upgrade when it did not have available the category of car that we had reserved. That was an unwelcome first for us.

Just had a great experience with Enterprise here in Gilbert!…read more It's definitely a smaller location, but they seem to have a great operation. Had a few options a Jetta (2026) or a convertible Mustang. The Mustang (2026) wasn't quite ready as would have had to wait, which I didn't really have the time nor was it spacious enough for the amount of things I'd be traveling with. Due to that, it was quite small for my needs. In moving forward with the Jetta, I was only asked one time if I wanted insurance (I declined). When I went to pick up the car, the agent (Daniel) walked around the car with me for the drive-away inspection. I do recommend taking pictures of any (any!!) dings, scratches, imperfections etc. even with the agent tending to mark them on the contract be vigilant. Supposedly, Enterprise doesn't charge for small dings, etc., but I still wanted photographic proof, with him in the shot, and recognizing my observations and ensuring that everything was taken into account. Returning the car was quick and easy and should receive my deposit back within 2 business days! The Jetta got great gas mileage & would recommend this location for your travel needs.

Therefore, I went up to the customer service desk when I returned the car (the next day... two days early on a three day rental) Thrifty charged me more than 50 cents per mile (41 miles for $22.45). They chose not to accommodate my request to waive the charging fee despite being able to validate that I did attempt to charge the car. The wait time at counter was unreasonably long at both pick up and check in. This seemed to be due to Thrifty staffing the desk with only one representative for both check in and check out. His manager would not talk with me when the desk rep called him. Instead he made the choice to put his corporate overlords ahead of a reasonable request from a customer. This was my absolute worst car rental experience.

Just purchased a car here a week ago. Paid for routine maintenance…read moreoil change, fluids & all that stuff. Drove it to Sedona & the alternator went out on car. Had to pay for the repair there, because towing it back to Mesa would be too expensive. Upon notifying the dealership to see what could be done about it. All I got was I'm sorry we would have been chaeper on the repair. Not taking any financial responsibility at all. I didn't expect the total repair to be paid & even stated so. But taking some ownership of what you sale would have been nice. The lack of professionalism & not standing behind what they sale is a total red flag. STAY AWAY. Bad place to buy a car.
