a plate of salad and a cup of coffee

On my second visit I got A Green Hot Tea and Mediterranean Stuffed Pork Chops Dinner. I chose the salad with Italian Dressing, nice size of Lettuce, Tomatoes, Croutons, Onions Salad, fresh. The diner was humongous with a choice of Potato & Vegetable. The chops are stuffed with Spinach & Feta Cheese. Delicious. Baked Potato with Butter & Sour Cream and carrots. I could only eat a portion of the meal, and got to take home. Also, I took home a piece of Strawberry Cheesecake. Very creamy. Marie was my server, very nice.

I ate some stuffed French toast

We stopped in for breakfast. A small cozy diner that had a decent menu. I ordered stuffed French toast and my daughter had eggs Benedict. I will say the French toast was good very filling. The service was decent and prices fair.

The food here is always very delicious and the cooks are quick! It's a busy restaurant but they try their absolute best. The service ladies are an absolute gem! Super down to earth, are excellent with their job, and love to laugh. Some of the funniest and wild conversations happen which make me laugh. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a diner. The most tempting part is their dessert display case. It's always a debate on what dessert to have.

This is what's called a "Breakfast feast" including the flimsy French toast in the other photo

Service was subpar; food was edible but VERY basic. I at it but didn't actually "enjoy" it per se. Won't visit again or recommend!

Clarks Summit native here! Silver Spoon is the best for any meal! I love love going for breakfast & getting an omelet, but I also love any of the panini sandwiches for dinner. The sandwiches come with soup or salad, and fries! Everyone is always super friendly and polite, and it's a great place to go with family. Prices are great as well! Hope you enjoy my photos :)

I should have snapped a pic before diving in, but once I quit on the potato mush I felt the need to document.

Great value and something for everyone. Daily specials for dinner include soup, salad, and pudding for dessert. Breakfast served all day.

Bisque soup was good. Everything else could have come from a can even the N.Y. steak. Pitiful food.

The staff was extremely rude & having an inappropriate (racist, actually) conversation very loudly on the floor. I left.

After 6pm, the meters are off, which was convenient timing for us to get dinner. Atmosphere/Vibe- The decor was nice, sort of a modern industrial look with brick and black accents. There was soft music playing (a 2009s boy band) and some "punny" named drinks that felt perfect for a millennial. I am part of this demographic, and loved that! Staff- Very friendly and personable. Knowledgeable and willing to accommodate a substitution. Food- I started with butternut squash soup, which was quite good. My husband had french onion soup, which we felt was about average. I had the salmon dinner entree. The salmon was excellent, perfectly cooked with a nice light crust. I asked for asparagus instead of brussel sprouts, and the asparagus spears were cooked, but tough, and the carrots were perfect. The smear of celery root was not warm, which was a bummer. my husband had braised short ribs, and said he felt his green beans were underdone, but the meat was extremely tender and delicious. His smear of squash puree was also cold. We both had the crème brute for dessert, and that really was the star of the show! Overall- this place is what you make it. If you like to have more control of your meal and like a variety of flavors, it might not be for you, but we really enjoyed it!

Since there were no customers at the time, we approached the bus boy to ask if they were in fact open. He yelled into the kitchen with our question and received the answer "no". We told them that their website indicates that they are open until 11:00. The two servers looked at each other and then told us that the kitchen closes at 9:00. They only had bar service until 11:00. What restaurant closes their kitchen 2 hours before closing?! Am I to believe that a patron could drink for 2 hours (until closing time) without any food service? After an event at the Cultural Center, we passed up a few restaurants in downtown Scranton and drove to Clarks Summit to PATRONIZE LOCAL BUSINESS. No good deed goes unpunished. Never again!
