After purchasing this home we noticed the floors were in worse shape than we had thought. I called Silver State and Gus came over and reassured me he could bring back the life in them. The crew came over on time and in professional uniforms. They all put on foot booties before my even asking. They restored my bathroom and my kitchen, onyx floors. These floors were in bad shape, potholes all over and very dull. I didn't want to replace them because they are unique. I don't know how they did it, but my floors look brand new. Never again!!! It's been almost a year since they installed my expensive vinyl flooring. Still get sick every time I see the gobs of glue by entry door and sliders. Never again!!! I'm still chiseling the gobs of glue off floor now to lay the end caps in a professional manner. read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. In spite of Flooring USA ordering the wrong tile, Silver State took care of the issue and went back and forth getting the correct tile. They also did a phenomenal job matching the tile to the existing tile. It was a difficult job, but these guys cut 16 X 16 tile to match existing 14 X 14 tiles and made it look seamless. Silver State was contracted to install a new bathroom floor with tile provided by me. They were also contracted to install a shower ceiling and tile pan with materials I purchased. The owner Julian came after his initial estimator could not bid the job. Julian then bid the job and ensured me that they could complete the job timely. After an initial 1 day delay due to circumstances beyond my control, Julian sent installers to begin the job. These installers were not able to do anything correctly and kept leaving. These installers were not properly trained and Julian never supervised the job. The initial problem was that the shower pan was not laid correctly. The installer did not protect the drain weep holes and got concrete in the drain. When I showed Julian he argued, with me. Then, he brought a different installer who said the pan needed to be removed. The second problem was that the shower ceiling was installed improper. The initial installer used install materials that Julian wanted to use and the ceiling collapsed and wasted all of the tile that belonged to me. The cost of the tile that was destroyed was approximately $220. Then, that same installer was not able to install the floor level. The floor was 1.5" out of level in 6'. His second installer had to remove this and reinstall. I had purchased extra tile and approximately $200 of my tile was used to fix this mistake. Additionally, my shower walls had just been done in granite slabs. The granite slabs were covered in thin set and waterproofing (RedGuard) from the ceiling collapse. This was never cleaned up even after insisting on Julian doing it. I also have to purchase a new light fixture due to the cement being permanently adhered to the lens. This is another $40 cost. Finally, after waiting for 3 more weeks, a man showed up at my door to complete the project. I told him no one had contacted me and he apologized. I then let him see the job and he said he would have to come back later with tools. Another week went by and he then returned with Julian. I asked Julian if he had all the tools and materials, specifically I asked if he had a saw. He said yes. His installer, Julian and I then met at agreed that the tile baseboard would be mitre cut at all outside corners. About 1 hour in I went to check on the work. Julian had left. His installer showed me and none of the corners were mitre cut at all. The installer told me that after I left Julian and he that Julian instructed him to not worry about doing the mitre cuts. He further told me that he in fact did not even have a saw to cut the tile at all. At this point I told him to leave. This was another $200 of wasted materials that are all cut. I have seen a finished job that was done at the direction of this company and that job was professional and came out great and this is why I added a second star. The end result is that a "professional" licensed contractor does not just go around and bid on jobs and then find random tradespeople to complete the job. A good licensed contractor actually has employees and supervises them. Finding guys after you bid out jobs leaves customers with mixed results. Julian Ciurca and his team were great to work with. They answered all of my questions and responded quickly to my e-mails and phone calls. They did an awesome job installing the wood look floors and new baseboards in my home, and at an affordable price. They were very quick and professional, and went above and beyond, especially when Lumber liquidators did not have the transitions available in store, when they were needed. Julian made sure that LL shipped the product directly to my home. The product arrived a day or so after the boys needed it, but Julian scheduled them to come back out and finish the job the next working day, and at hours that were convenient to me. Also, The quarter round trim did not arrive with the transitions, so Julian, himself, went over to LL to pick up the product, so that the boys could finish. Bernurdo, their carpet guy, also did an awesome job making the carpet transitions look perfect. If you are looking for a flooring installation company- LOOK NO FURTHER!! They did an OUTSTANDING JOB from start to finish. From Gerson the Estimator to Diana the Scheduler, to Florencio and his crew, to Julian the Manager, to Tony The Field Supervisor it was a seamless job. Don't get me wrong we had our old hardwood floor scored, and jack hammered up and about 2000 sq. ft. of Pre Finished Brazilian Cherry Engineered Hardwood flooring glued entirely down. It was a nasty, dirty and very labor intensive job, but Florencio and his crew take great Pride in their work. We also had them put new tile in a guest bath, and behind our wet bar. The main difference between Silver State and most every other flooring company is they use the same crew from start to finish. Most other companies use different crews for demo, flooring prep, and flooring install and if there are any problems they blame on the other crews. Not these guys, same crew from start to finish, and Tony, The Field Supervisor comes every day and keeps everyone on the same page and handles any of your concerns. We wanted to remove carpet and install tile in 4 bedrooms. We just walked into Silver State Flooring's office on Decatur without any prior knowledge of this company. Julian was in the office and he was very accommodating, polite, knowledgeable, helpful. He answered all of our questions satisfactorily. We actually had another tile installer in mind for the job who worked for us in the past and which we liked his work but we thought it a good idea to get a second bid. Boy are we glad we did because Silver State's bid came in $800 less for exactly the same and labor. Julian's tile installers were reasonably on time each day, worked hard, cleaned up at the end of each day, personable, efficient, knowledgeable .
