The guide was wonderful and nice and the horses were great for beginner riders! However, the communication was a bit frustrating. It would be nice to know when and where we were going to be picked up when I booked the ride instead of me needing to text and email and hound the company to get in touch with the driver. We didn't get driver info until 12 hours before the excursion. And then it was a bunch of texts back and forth about hotel names, addresses, etc. which I had already sent numerous times. It was also confusing to have a pre-paid tip offered at the time of booking (which I did), but then confirmation texts said to bring cash to tip the guide. When I told the guide that I prepaid the tip he said he would ask the owner because he hadn't received anything. It just made me feel kind of bad because I really want him to get the tip. I had to email to get the pictures sent to me. The trail somewhat just gravel, but the guide did a nice job of pointing out wildlife, identifying plants, and telling us about the landscape. It was a nice ride and I would recommend it to someone who wants a quick outdoor excursion not far from the strip. read more

Blew up my phone around 2am (the day of our ride) with all kinds of requests and instructions. Kept asking for our info and to sign waivers, but I've told them numerous times we've done that already. They wanted a screenshot of the GPS map to make sure we had the correct address. They said not to wait last minute to send it, but they sent me the text at 2am when our appointment was that same morning. Their communication did not seem professional, it came off suspicious and shady. When my friend and I got there, a woman approached us asking us to sign waivers, then she left. We were frightened at this point because everything seemed shady and we were left there waiting by ourselves for the guide and previous group to come back. The guide was nice and mentioned a tip at the end. We gave him a tip. He took a bunch of pictures of us during and after the ride in which he mentioned he'll be sending us the pictures. I tried following up for pictures; whoever's handling the communication sucks because they'd text back asking for my name and day of appointment each time. At this point, I realized they're just giving me the run around hoping I stop asking for them. Other reviews stated that they have not received pictures either. This was such a memorable experience. The trail itself was beautiful, with perfect weather the day we went, making the scenery even more enjoyable. It's not a flat trail, so be prepared for a little variety in the terrain and to navigate tree branches both at your feet and at eye level. My wife especially loved the horses--each one was well-cared for and clearly well-trained. They never wandered off on their own, which made the ride feel relaxed and safe. The ride is guided the entire way, and our guide Grace was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept the conversation flowing the whole time, which made the experience even better. The only thing my wife would have liked more was a longer introduction to her horse and instructions on how to manage the horse, So she could have been better acquainted since it was our first time riding a horse at all. While the trail is definitely beginner-friendly and not overly adventurous, it was still a wonderful way to soak in the mountain views. One thing to note: you can't have your phone out while riding unless you have permission, and definitely not while actively riding. At first, it felt like a downside, but I actually came to appreciate it since it allowed me to disconnect and really take in the beauty of the ride without distractions. Afterward, we even got to spend a little time with the horses, which was a nice touch. The food provided was good as well. I'd recommend bringing hand sanitizer or even your own water/hand soap just in case there's no well-water available. Overall, this was a beautiful, beginner-friendly horseback riding experience. I was very disappointed with our experience at Silver State Horseback Riding Tours. Our group of six had booked this ride to celebrate a birthday, and two members of our group were visiting from out of town. The night before our scheduled ride, around 9:00 p.m., only three of us received text messages asking to reschedule, while the other three received options to keep same date and time. Coordinating a new time for a group of six on such short notice was frustrating, and after we managed to do so, we were asked again the following morning to change our ride time. The lack of organization and communication made what was supposed to be a special event unnecessarily stressful. During the ride itself, the guide was mostly silent and provided very little information or interaction, making the experience feel rushed and impersonal. Another disappointment involved the photos. We were told we couldn't use our own phones because of a previous incident, so the guide took pictures for us. At no point were we informed that there would be a charge for these photos. Only after the ride ended did we receive a payment request for $10 per rider to receive them. If there is a fee for photos, that should be clearly communicated before they are taken so guests can decide whether they want the service. Charging $10 per person for just a few photos, especially after the inconvenience of multiple last-minute schedule changes, felt unreasonable. I'm leaving this review so others that book can have confidence in using this business. After booking with SSHR we got emails from Las Vegas Trail Riding LLC. I read some reviews on this business as well as finding Silver State on Yelp and frankly was scared I made a grave mistake. It is true that this business does not give you an actual address but rather a set of coordinates after booking. We were worried and arrived at the coordinates with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised! We had an evening ride and it was very peaceful and scenic through the red rock canyon. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience: If I could rate this company lower than one star, I would. My mom and I originally booked a 5:00 PM sunset tour on 6/25/25. They contacted us later and asked to change the time to 7:00 PM--we agreed. On the day of, I texted the company asking for the location, and instead of simply resending it, they argued with me for over 30 minutes via text--rude, unhelpful, and incredibly unprofessional. Although my mom received an email with the location, it was unclear. We used Google to find an address, which turned out to be incorrect. The correct location was only sent to us 10 minutes before the tour was scheduled to start--and it was 40 minutes away from where we were. Needless to say, we missed the appointment. When we asked to reschedule, the only available option was a 3:00 PM tour on 6/30/25--nothing near the original sunset experience we booked. I work during that time, which is why we chose a sunset tour in the first place. From start to finish, the experience was chaotic and poorly handled. Their communication was delayed, their tone was abrasive, and trying to call them was useless. Horrible customer service. I was accused of taking another customer's food when I purchased a ticket that included a bbq dinner. Since they did not have that information on their end from Viator, and despite me sharing screenshots of my ticket that does include dinner, that somehow made up for the tour guide ending our ride after 15 minutes and them refusing atleast a partial refund of my $260 purchase. The tour guide was concerned about the dark clouds and ended early for safety and while I completely understand safety, we waited outside in the same weather he was concerned about for nearly 30 minutes to receive two cold plates of barbecue only for the guide to say we probably could have kept on riding, since the rain he was expecting never came. This whole situation was honestly a mess from start to finish. I had booked two tickets for a 10 AM horseback trail ride, and the company told us via both text and email to arrive 30 minutes early at 9:30 AM. So we showed up right on time: 9:30. But as soon as we arrived, it already felt off. Nobody greeted us or welcomed us, we weren't even sure who to speak to. Instead, someone just came up and very abruptly asked, "What's the last name for the reservation?" No friendliness, no hello, just cold and straight to the point. Then they immediately told us, "You're scheduled for 11. You're an hour early." I told them no, I booked for 10. I pulled out my phone and showed them the confirmation texts clearly stating 10 AM. The guide just kept walking away ignoring the proof I was trying to show her and said, "The office should have texted you that you were moved to 11." That was it, no apology, no explanation, no effort to even verify or check anything. Just brushed it off like it was no big deal. So we went through every single message and email I'd received, including junk and spam folders, nothing about any time change. Not a single message letting us know we were moved to 11. When we tried to tell the guide that we never got any message and showed her proof, she literally continued walking away from us and kept repeating that she doesn't handle any of that and the office should have contacted us. She wasn't interested in hearing us out, didn't want to look at the messages, and gave absolutely no apology or attempt to fix the situation. Just completely dismissive. So at that point, we had two options: either sit in my friend's car for an hour with the AC on and waste gas, or sit outside at one of the two tiny tables they had, both with zero shade. Neither was a good option, especially after showing up on time and being turned away for something that wasn't our fault. I texted/called the company right away about the situation and asked for a refund and they just ignored me. My friend's mom ended up stepping in and texting them from her phone, and suddenly they responded immediately. But instead of actually helping, they sent her a screenshot of my text messages between the company and me with a message saying, "Here are the multiple messages we sent... not to mention the several emails." (They only sent pictures of the text messages and none of the emails) All while continuing to ignore me directly, even though I'd also tried calling them twice. My friend's mom then sent them proof, screenshots and screen recordings of my text history, email inboxes, and even a screenshot from their own website that, at 9:56 AM, still said "your adventure starts in 3 minutes." That proved we were still scheduled for 10, and we hadn't received anything about a time change. After that, they stopped replying to her too. She called and left a voicemail, no answer. Eventually, they sent her another text saying, "Did you not get the screenshot of the messages we sent to her?" (referring to me, the one who booked the ride). Very unprofessional, instead of addressing the actual issue or taking any accountability, they deflected and doubled down on blaming the customer with no apology. Even if they had sent those messages, the fact that I never responded to them should've been a clear sign to call me or make sure I got the message, not just assume I'd magically know the time changed. That alone shows how unprofessional and careless they are with communication. To sum it up: the guide was not friendly, not helpful, and not interested in resolving the issue at all. The company's customer service is even worse, they showed zero care for us as paying customers. No refund, no reschedule, not even an apology for wasting our time or turning us away. It honestly felt like they thought they could just change our reservation to whatever time they wanted, and if it didn't work for us? Oh well. No ride, no refund. Even in the "messages" they claimed they sent, there was no option to cancel or reschedule. It felt like they were saying: show up when we tell you, or lose your money. That's not how customer service works, and they should be embarrassed by how unprofessional and dismissive they were, not just toward me, but toward my friend and her mom too. And apparently, we're not the only ones. There were at least two other people within the last couple weeks who had almost the exact same experience, just check their reviews. You not showed which is not our fault so we will fight your chargeback and move forward with small claims and collections". That's mindblowing to me. No service was provided. No address provided. Just sharing so someone else doesn't book and lose money. I 100% intend on filing a dispute with BBB and AG as well as a small claims court case in my hometown but wanted to let everyone know how crappy their customer service is and how they're keeping money for a service not provided. They finally sent the location but we were 40min away. BTW the address when you google which is where we were is totally incorrect 40 min from where we're supposed to be. All doing this whilst ignoring us directly (we even tried calling them twice). Started off normally enough with phone calls and then texts. A lot of texts. They made sure to ask for waivers completed online before our arrival. We did. x4 A few hours before tour.,they texted me saying the tour moved to the other side of the valley..ok. When we arrive there's a young lady busy saddling up horses. She doesn't greet or welcome us at all. And then...fill out the waivers that we already filled out. x4 The ride and horses were pleasant and our guide ended up being ok. When we returned our "bbq" was 4 stone cold styrofoam packed bbq lunches. Just handed to us abruptly. Kind of strange. Our 1 1/2 hour experience with 1 hour of riding was a 1 45 minute experience with 45 minutes of ride time. Which was perfect for our sore legs.bbq was a sad end though. read more

Found them on Groupon disappointed with the purchase as the fine print indicated additional fees which turned out to be $25 per person and still not sure what that was for, not sure why it was even added if it's supposed to be a deal on Groupon! Here's the pros and cons from the ride, beautiful horse Well behaved, lunch was fine a drink was included, they took a picture of you on the horse and a spot along the way which was emailed after the trip. Cons : It states 75 minutes which broken down is actually depending on how many people are in the group at least 20 minutes to get everybody on the horses, 30 to 40 minute ride, 15 minutes for your meal! The ride was out near sunrise Mountain east of Las Vegas, unfortunately it wasn't very scenic no wildlife except for two lizards and I believe a scorpion, probably get a better ride at night with the sunset and a chance to see Jack rabbit or coyotes. The guide that we had unfortunately gave no information in regards to the area or what we were going to see or not see, not a lot of communication or information, hopefully that's not with all there guides! In the end your meal or ours was lunch was offered to sit in it and a pop-up table and chairs understandable in the middle of the desert or to take it with us which is in a Styrofoam container again understandable, however the drinks should've been kept cold they were lukewarm at best! Can't recommend this tour enough. We didn't have a rental car so we used Uber to and from the site. Communication was clear from the company via text and they provided the information we needed to get to the site. We met with Grace who was super friendly and helped us get comfortable with the horses. We had 3 kids (15, 13 and 8) who enjoyed the entire experience. We had an 11:30am time and the weather was awesome. This company's customer service is truly awful and I would avoid this company if I could do it again. I booked a 5pm horseback ride tour for my family of 6 (including 4 kids) and they texted us 3 hours before our ride to say that we had to be there at 4pm. We already had our day planned and I replied that we couldn't get there early--no response. Followed up again and then they said we could stick with 5pm. We arrived at 5pm--and the meeting spot was in the middle of nowhere on a cold & windy day--and there was no one there. After waiting 30 minutes, I reached out and was told the guide was running late. No explanation for why they didn't reach out to let us know and definitely no apology for the delay. Kids were growing incredibly impatient but I had already paid for the ride so we just kept waiting--it was pretty miserable. Guide finally arrived just before 6pm--nearly an hour late. The ride itself was fine but, to top everything off, the guide took a bunch of pictures and never sent them (and the tip I gave was based on the assumption we would receive the pictures). I've contacted them numerous times for the pictures but no response at all. Bottom line is that they were incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate at every possible step of the process. I really wish I had gone with a different horseback riding company--this company was a bit cheaper but it would definitely be worth the extra money to not have to deal with all the hassle and to actually receive the pictures of our family horseback riding trip as promised. read more

This event is perfect for the first time riders. The trail is a gravel wash also used by vehicles and it is a horseshoe trail starting and ending in the same place. The pace is slow like a mule train and the guide was engaging. The bbq is not at all what you expect or imagined. The bbq was a cold set of ribs , corn corn bread and beans packed hours earlier in a styrofoam container that was set on a pop up table next to the horse trailer. I guess we had imagined a trail ride going to a ranch with a hot bbq and fireside chat for our dinner. Didn't pay for that so didn't get it. Fair deal nonetheless read more

I ride a horse yesterday and the experience is so bad.  It started late for 15 mins and it was ended early for 10 min and the guider was texting during the whole trip. The view during the trip is bad and the route was very boring. There is the same route at back and forth and for really never took your girlfriend there for her birthday.
