Delicious broth. I was really amazed at how flavorful the broth was. Probably one of the best tasting broths I've come across. Additionally the restaurant is clean, not too loud and the service was good.

We came to this location on New Year's Night. It was packed so my boyfriend and I put our names on the waitlist. We met up with three of our friends as well so the wait was a little longer. Once we were seated, the service was fast! Most of us ordered ramen and my boyfriend ordered a chicken and rice bowl. The ramen took longer because they had a lot of online ordered to take care of. It was no worry to us because we had a great time catching up. Once our food came out, it was great! We all devoured our ramen. It has been over a year since I've been here and I'm so glad we came back in the new year. This place gets a 11/10 for their amazing food and service. It's also decorated very cute in here and is always a vibe! Thanks for the amazing ramen!

Been to this Silverlake Ramen location a few times now. The service has always been friendly and prompt. I love their shoyu pork ramen with chili paste and it never disappoints. I usually order an extra side of noodles and I share that with my husband sometimes. Ambiance not trendy like the one at Irvine Spectrum but just a solid place if you want to eat good and want something quick.

Big fan of Silverlake Ramen for years but this location is not it. Drove 30 mins to get to this location that closes at 10pm. Got there at 9:20 only to be told they closed the kitchen already and did "last call." Not even an offer for to-go. I've worked in the restaurant industry and this is unacceptable and bad business practice. Do better Silverlake Ramen! Was much better before they became a franchise.

Pork Bowl = delicious, would definitely get again!

Their Pork Bowl was an extremely satisfying meal. Actually, I got two meals out of the large bowl, which made it an even better value. I thoroughly enjoyed that bowl of flavorful pork chunks, steamed white rice, pickled red onions, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and a jammy egg. The girl at the front who took my to-go order was super sweet and accommodating. She offered me some water after I had ordered (it was a scorching hot afternoon) and even brought my order outside to me when she saw me coming to pick it up. They weren't busy at all, with no one dining in, but I still appreciated the effort and kindness. Parking is free in the lot directly surrounding the building, but there is also lots of parking throughout the Crossroads plaza. I've had ramen at another Silverlake Ramen, but it honestly didn't give me the same level of comfort that this Pork Bowl gave me here. If I'm ever craving a simple, protein-laden rice bowl, I'll know what to get. Shout-out to my good friend who recommended it to me!

This ramen spot is my favorite in all of Irvine. I'm so glad they opened a location in Crossroads. I took my roommate here for her first time and she LOVED it. She's not a huge fan of spicy things but a Medium Spice Blaze was just right for her. As for me, I'm loyal to the Combo deal with Creamy Broccolini and Shoyu on Fire. I love the flavor in both of these items. The only thing I have to say is the staff rushes you and it is kind of hard to enjoy your meal. I completely understand & appreciate a quick service restaurant. However, having someone ask if I'm ready to order the moment I sit down and putting the check on the table before I've even gotten halfway through my bowl is awkward and unnecessary.

Thank you for having vegetarian options on your menu. I really appreciate the veggie ramen in miso broth but why the extra high price? Appreciate that you can choose tofu as the protein in most of the other ramens. Also love that you have an impossible bao. A little too much mustard and would have liked some picked onion or radish, maybe cilantro or some sort of green on it. Great service and very clean store

Silver lake is a hit or miss for me personally. I do think that they are consistent on their food, the one I get is the tonkotsu ramen, but I think that I've had better ramen in OC. The ambiance is quiet and the service is ok. I think this is a good spot for when you need something fast and yum. I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here.

Came here tonight for Blaze Ramen and Karaage. Glad we did! The ambiance is unassuming with clean tables and simple decor. The Ramen was flavorful, and not too spicy. The char siu was perfectly seasoned and soft. It melts in your mouth. The karaage is well done. They drain the excess oil, leaving it crispy outside and juicy inside. The aoli served with it was a perfect compliment. The service was good, and they showed up to offer refills and inquire if we wanted anything else. Overall, great experience. Will come again.

My family and I visited on Mother's Day and had a great experience! The chicken karaage was so great,and so was the garlic truffle ramen :-) the restaurant itself has a nice and open atmosphere, too. It felt easy going but refined. Lastly, our service was top notch. We were regularly checked on, even when a busy wave hit. I also wanted to thank server Naomi for all her help! My brother is in a wheelchair, and when she saw my family and I heading to the door with him she went out of her way to hold the front door for us, and immediately help with seating arrangements. Much appreciated. Would definitely dine here again! ^^

The service at this location was great when we stopped in for lunch, friendly and super fast. The noodles had a good texture, the broth was seasoned well, the bun was soft and the pork was fine. Silverlake Ramen is as awful as my friends warned me, but unfortunately I had to try it for myself. I paid the price for my experimentation. This location of Silverlake Ramen is near Tastea and Urban Plates in Irvine. I came after work and the restaurant was pretty empty. The waitress put me at a small table that was by their order window and their staff was really close to bumping into me the whole time. Super annoying. And the waitress went to rearrange the condiments at the table next to me with her butt in my face for the longest time. No common sense at all. She could have stood at any other angle and it would have been less odd. Anyways, I ordered the Classic Tonkotsu ($16.50) and opted for the pork. It comes with creamy pork stock, bean sprouts, spinach, green onions, seaweed, black garlic oil and a seasoned egg. I opted out of the bean sprouts and added corn ($1.75). When it came out the amount of green onions was ridiculous, I had to scoop some out. It was probably thee worst bowl of ramen I ever had. One tiny piece of pork. I only ate half of the noodles and decided to give up on the rest. I literally ate cup noodle that night and it tasted better. I always like to try things for myself before I judge a place and now I can truly agree with my friends that this place sucks. Both the food and the service.

This is my go to ramen place in Irvine so far. It's close by and the variety of flavor has something for everyone. Waiting times can be long, especially on a Friday. Parking isn't too bad, you can wait in your car if there's a bit of line. The dining area is small and busy. However anytime I've gone to Silverlake Ramen, the service was always friendly. I normally go for the black garlic truffle ramen. The noodles tend to be thicker than most ramen places, the broth is a bit creamier, and overall, it's a different ramen experience but it's a tasty and comforting one.

LOVE this ramen. It's one of our go to places. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the employees are nice, and the food is always very fast. We do pick up orders pretty often because we like the convenience and it's always still hot by the time we get home. Unfortunately, since we like it so much, I received a gift card from one of my relatives. The unfortunate part is that there's no way to use the gift card online to pay for a pickup order???? And so I've called to place the order over the phone and it's a struggle because they say they don't take orders over the phone. I'm grateful they eventually have accepted the gift card for the restaurant that the gift card is for... but it should also just be a method of payment on the website. It's fairly frustrating when we enjoy the ramen so much we get a gift card for it but then have to negotiate to be able to use it. You should not be able to buy the gift card online if you can't use it online. It would be great if this issue could be resolved so gift cards could be used when placing online orders! 3 stars because I'm hoping the owner will see this and get the issue fixed. The ramen is still so good, just annoying to have a frustrating experience paying. read more

I've probably been to over 50 ramen restaurants and the shoyu ramen here is probably my least favorite. I do like the option of chicken as the main meat but the quality of the chicken was poor. I almost didn't eat it. The noodles were mediocre. And the broth was not soy sauce, tasted like chicken soup and nothing special. Maybe the other items are better but the shoyu is no good read more

This branch serves the togo customers better than regular sit in customers. Our food arrives intermittently and some other customers get their orders before ours. Half hour wait to be seated and 1 1/2 hour for the last entre to arrive. Won't be back. read more

I was just turned away at the door at 9:35 pm and couldn't even get a takeout order. They apparently close at 10 pm from the hours on the window but wouldn't serve any food past 9:30. A young man working there said the manager was the owner but the manager said she has never met the owner. I work and live in the city and have many ramen spots to choose from but prefer them. I wonder if the owners know the staff doesn't serve customers past 9:30 on a Friday? Keep in mind I am writing this at 9:38 and the store closes at 10:00 apparently. Disappointing. read more

My food never came. My son got his bowl of ramen, finished it, and I still never got my ramen. I kept asking the server where my bowl was and she said it was coming. Just walked in to order, and while sitting waiting for my order. Three workers were standing around and passing around a container with sauce, commenting that the sauce smelled like bbq. And then put the lid on and placed it in my bag. All three held the sauce to their nose and then served it. Gross. Night shift service gets zero stars. read more

We got the truffle and the classic ramen with chicken kaarage. The soup was bland and not flavorful, the chicken wasn't crispy or particularly good, the water tasted like soap, and the service was okay. Overall would not recommend whatsoever. Stay away from this place, there's so many other much better ramen places in Irvine and OC that I cannot think of one reason I would ever eat here again read more

It's a little tight inside too with the tables located near each other. We came on a Monday during the lunch hour. We originally had plans to eat somewhere else, but it was too long of a wait and we decided to have Ramen instead. I think due to our party of six, it was a little harder to be seated, but it wasn't a big deal. We checked in and we were informed by Justin that it wouldn't take too long for our table to be ready as the other family who was at the larger table was already eating their food. Great! We meandered around in the center and walked inside Daiso and Mitsuwa market and already thinking about where we would be eating next time. We received a text when our table was ready about 30 minutes later. The nice lady who took our order was friendly, sweet, smiling and made us feel welcomed. We all ended up ordering different Ramen bowls, and curry with rice. We also shared the large fried chicken and furikake french fries. I'll have to try that at home next time! Everyone enjoyed their choices. I tried the light Kitakata ramen this time because I usually always get miso or Tonkotsu. The light broth was easier for me to handle and I was able to adjust the spice level with condiments on the table. I also used some of the chili spices from my family members. People come to the restaurant to enjoy the food but she has such a bad attitude because she is not happy in her life.

I found myself staring at a mount of vegetable toppings when my ramen arrived. The next thing I noticed was the wavy kitakata noodle that reminded me of chewy homemade noodle. I tasted the broth by itself before slurping in my ramen. The whole package was a winner for my taste buds. I learned from Madison that this location in Costa Mesa was established in 2014, the first international Kitakata joint outside Japan. Although, I came here during a slow night. Ambiance: Classic shabu vibe. A bunch of tables for 8s that have an option to be split between parties if needed. The buffet area is in the center of everything, and there's a good amount of space between tables and within the buffet section.

I've only been to the location in Silverlake, but saw one that opened up across my work so decided to stop in for lunch! Ayse greeted us right away and was helpful in ordering promptly. I liked the menu had the calorie number indicated for each dish. I definitely think the combo (one ramen + one app) for around $20 is an amazing deal and would recommend. The food is pretty good, price is reasonable, and the restaurant ambiance and service was nice. I got the Spicy Pork Tonkatsu Ramen and the broth was very creamy and full of flavor. Noodles and pork were great. Surprisingly the soft boiled egg was incredible. It's a solid spot and I'd recommend trying but there are better ramen spots in Irvine including Hiro Nori and Marufuku. read more
