Tonkotsu ramen with thick noodles, spicy and garlic paste on the side
    Jenning Y.

Been to the Tustin location a few times, it's always been consistent. This time I had their signature tonkotsu ramen. Thick noodles is their default, but you can change it to thin if that's more your style. Free garlic and spicy sauce on the side is a must. If you love Zankou Chicken's garlic sauce, then Hironori's version is going to be a hit! The tonkotsu broth is more in the middle of the spectrum when it comes to richness / fatiness. It has the right amount of tare without being overly salty. We appreciated that they disclosed to us about the 17% service charge, which could be removed if you wish to tip on your own.

This is a small place and theres a small parking lot but parking was easy to find. Service here is a 10/10. Everything was super clean. We started off by ordering the cucumber mint yuzunade & a piña colada. They were both super refreshing & the piña colada was creamy. We tried the spicy cold dipping noodle, vegan ramen & Tonkotsu. I love tonkotsu ramen and this hit the spot, gotta add a little bit of the chili(chili is spicy) and its fire. The vegan ramen wasnt for me, but its nice to know they have vegan options here. It was my first time trying the cold dipping noodles and they were good! They werent that spicy but everything tasted really good, especially on a hot day. I enjoyed it , might have to be the move again next time I come by. The pork buns & cucumber salad were also good. No complaints here, def had a good meal, and definitely coming back! I can see why everyone was hyping this place up!

Plastic removed from my mouth, because it was in the vegetables in my TONKOTSU RAMEN.

I got here about 20 minutes early, as I was meeting Nancy for dinner. It was freezing inside. I don't know why they make it so cold, but it's not comfortable. The lady who sat me, didn't seem friendly. The way she three the menus down was like she was tired of working here. It took 10 minutes for the other server to notice me and bring water. They use to-go cups for the hot tea?! The hiring criteria must be low. Notice the plastic that I found in my ramen.

Clean all gender restroom to the back left of the restaurant.

I literally just attended an event here and had to come back cause we loved the food so much. HiroNori Craft Ramen, is in a small strip mall in Tustin off of Newport where honestly...you can find a lot of great small business to dine at. HiroNori being one of them. Parking is limited in the front lot, while additional parking can be found adjacent to the restaurant immediately behind another building. I was happy to see that you can add yourself to their Yelp waitlist accessible inside the restaurant. There was a little area to wait inside and outside their establishment. I enjoyed the aesthetics of the space. To me, it felt like an outdoor night market, with simple concrete that was also used as a bench if you had the tables against the wall. Up above looked like either linen or burlap cloth that draped off the ceiling with some paper lantern lights. Modern chairs and hooks for purses under the tables. The menu is simple and not overly complicated. The wait staff was great. They were prompt, nice, patient and very attentive. What we ordered; 1) Tonkatsu Ramen - 5/5 stars. The broth was so tasty and really hit the spot. It came with chashu pork, green onions, bean sprouts, egg, spinach and seaweed. 2) Shoyu Ramen - 5/5 stars. I typically find that this broth isn't as flavorful, however, the shoyu ramen at HiroNori Craft Ramen, is well seasoned and the flavor was better than I expected and had in comparison to other places who offer this same meal. The shoyu came with chashu pork, green onions, spinach, kaiware sprouts, bamboo and an egg. 3) Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle - 5/5 stars. I recently ordered this at an event and loved it so much that I had to order another one to go when I came back. I didn't take photos of this one during my return because I did not want this review getting taken down and getting mistaken for the food I received at the event. This meal was very generous at least for me. It was served with chashu pork, spinach, sprouts, bamboo, and egg. The dipping sauce was in a separate bowl with ice to keep it cold, was made with a dashi broth and chili oil. Due to my excitement at the event, I did not notice until my second time, that this broth has a very slight numbing pepper...or at least it tasted like it. For me, it was mild. I do have a high spice tolerance so it was easy for me to miss. I noticed it mostly by the scent. 4) Salmon Poke Bowl (large) - I did not get to try this one. I can't speak to the flavor but I did taste the salad that you can eat with or separately from the poke bowl itself. The dressing was delicious! The large size gets you two scoops and you can see that under the avocado in my photo. The rice was super generous which might have been a bit much, but better to have enough than not. FYI, there is a 17% automatic gratuity or surcharge to your tab BUT you don't have to add tip. The price on your check is the price you pay. Not bad, just fyi. Overall, I was very happy with my experience at this restaurant. Great food made for a very pleasant dinner. Thank you.

    CRISPY RICE WITH SPICY TUNA

Whenever it's overcast or a gloomy day, I always crave ramen/soup-based noodles. Today was that such day. HiroNori is down the street from where I live, so it's my go-to ramen spot. Parking is limited here though. I was lucky enough to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. As I was coming in, someone was pulling out. I walked in and was greeted immediately. The service was amazing. The place was quiet and not too busy. I came in the early evening. I liked the minimalist decor. The young man who helped me was very nice. I ordered two Tonkotsu Ramen and two Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. The broth from the ramen is so rich and flavorful. And I love how generous they are with their spicy tuna. If you're in the Tustin area, check this place out.

We came in during a busy stretch and signed in on the tablet, easy enough. The vibe inside was fun, kind of a simple Star Wars cantina feel, which was charming. It was pretty warm inside, but we were already on the list so we stuck it out. We ordered the eel buns, spicy tuna crispy rice, and two tonkatsu ramen bowls. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite land for us. The ramen noodles came out overcooked and mushy, and the broth was on the lighter side flavor-wise, even after adding the spicy sauce and garlic, it didn't come together the way we'd hoped. The pork slices were a highlight though, tender, well-cooked, and genuinely tasty. The egg was on the sweeter side, which just wasn't to our taste. The eel buns felt a little plain, a bit more sauce or pickled vegetables would've gone a long way. They were also hard to eat as they didn't hold together well. The crispy tuna rice was similar, not bad, just unremarkable. One thing worth knowing: there's an automatic 17% gratuity added at the end. Based on other reviews, it sounds like it can be removed upon request, so just something to ask about. The real standout of the visit was the staff. One young man in particular was genuinely attentive and kind throughout our meal, and that kind of service is hard to find and worth recognizing. All in, we spent about $67, which is reasonable for what we ordered. The service brought this from a 2 star experience to a 3, but the food as a whole didn't leave us eager to return.

    SHOYU RAMEN
    Rachel C.

I got the shoyu ramen and it was very flavorful. Adding the creamy garlic and house level spice really leveled up the dish! Would come back here again to try something different. They do have an automatic 17% gratuity as a heads up.

A very nice awesome place, we love coming to the actual restaurant, one tome my friend order some food from here an I loved their bowls, but yesterday i went to have the full experience of going and eating there, everything we try was very delicious, i personally love their bowls and something that is very important and huge now in days is the fact the they have very affordable prices, I really appreciate that. Also their staff is really great, very fast, helpful. They also just don't serve water they serve fruit water, you can check in my pictures ;)

    EEL TEMPURA BUNS
    Yoshi B.

HiroNori Craft Ramen's Tustin location continues to deliver the rich and indulgent ramen goodness in a super cute, cozy little space. In a small plaza on Newport Avenue, HiroNori has settled into another home nicely. The Tonktatsu broth has all the deep, meaty flavors of pork with the thicker noodles that are chewy and satisfying. The standard toppings of thick slabs of juicy pork and a delicious egg with seaweed are perfectly cooked. And there are plenty of toppings like bamboo shoots, greens, and their famous black garlic are available too for an extra charge (except the delicious house spicy sauce). Their sides are also drool-worthy, with hits like their spicy tuna crunch, their donburi style bowls (your choice of protein + rice), and the soft, delicate buns. The buns here include the pork belly as well as the eel tempura. The eel tempura is so crispy and covered in a delicious sweet soy sauce that really gives a nice contrast compared to the warm, steamed bun. Service is a bit relaxed so you may need to make a little effort to get staff attention, but they are very friendly. Overall, this HiroNori location will give you all the goodness of the original without as much for a wait. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood to treat yourself with some ramen.

    SHOYU RAMEN

This was my first time eating here, but I got to say that this may just be my current favorite ramen shop in the OC. After waiting for a table for 30+ minutes, we were mad hungry and ordered nearly everything off the menu. Pork Buns - delicious! Could use more veggies but the marinated pork belly is divine. Crispy Chicken - fantastic snack appetizer. Sushi, fish bowls - in general, I found their sushi/sashimi offerings to be just average. But you're probably not coming here for sushi anyway. Ok, and on to the star of the show - the ramens. I got the Shoyu; my partner got the Tonkotsu. Both were knockouts. The broth was comforting and soothing, great assortment of vegetables, satisfying noodles, and the pork chashu was cooked and seared to perfection. Neither option was too oily or greasy. You can simply tell they put a lot of effort into crafting a peak ramen bowl. I would say the only downside was the wait, and that's probably because the venue is rather small for how popular this establishment is. But it is well worth the wait!

We ordered HiroNiro for lunch in the office today. Perfect day to eat noodles soup with wet weather outside! I had the vegan ramen with an added soft boiled egg and it was delicious! Had to run an errand so everyone already ate by the time I got back but my noodles were still a bit chewy and not all soggy. They gave a good amount of noodles so I only ate a half and that was more than enough for me.

Came here on a weds night and it was packed. Altho I added my name on a waitlist via Yelp, we still had to wait 20 mins or so. The guy was super attentive and ensured that we were next when a bigger table opened up. The place is not too big but had maybe 10 tables. The inside decor was super cute with lanterns and wooden seats. The people there were also friendly and attentive. I ordered the shoyu ramen. You can get garlic or hot sauce on the side so I ordered the spicy sauce. The ramen broth was light and clear. It was really good. The pork was soft and tender with lots of flavor. My friends ordered the plum wine and it was tiny but luckily the girl did warn us that it is strong -15% alcohol. The food and experience was great. FYI they do add 17% service charge but they do let you know that when you are paying. The guy offers to remove it if you truly oppose to it but he will need to redo the bill. The service was great but I thought that was the only down side.

I ordered this on. Uber eats all the time... I specifically order from the Tustin location. I think it's better than Irvine.
    Jenn G.

This is officially my favorite ramen spot. I always get the tonkatsu ramen with thin noodles, and extra egg...and it never misses. The broth is rich and creamy without being too heavy, the pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the noodles are always cooked perfectly. It's the kind of bowl that makes you go quiet halfway through because you're too busy enjoying every sip. Friendly service, chill vibe, and consistent every single time. If you're a ramen lover, definitely try it, you'll get hooked.

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area.
