My go to! Food typically comes out fast, and it's consistent. And DAVID is the best! Deserves a raise! Might be the nicest server i've ever met. I come here regularly, and have interacted with many staff members & he's always super friendly & attentive, and even started remembering our faces haha. I noticed some people complained about the potion sizes, idk how that's possible bc i'm someone who can eat a LOT and 1 ramen def fills me up. I tried to use my hand for scale, but the pics don't do it justice... Also, yes the wait times can be long during peak hours, but you're at the irvine spectrum mall, so it's never been an issue for me personally bc i just put my name down & then go do something else while i wait. There's so much to see/do at this mall! Anyway huge shoutout to David, and this place is worth it - so you should def try!
If you're craving a ramen and worried about consistency, Silverlake may be the place for you. Their dishes are consistent on flavor and portion. The portions are relatively competitive to the price. It's a fun atmosphere with contemporary music. We were sat immediately, but was during a slower part of the afternoon. Our order was entered and delivered very timely! Restaurant Space (5/5): Very clean and well organized, there is a warm contemporary feel to the dining area. They also have a bar at the front you can sit at if you're solo or with a plus 1. Food (5/5): The Tonkotsu Ramen was very delicious with generous portions that my daughter and I was able to split. There is a lot of broth, so restaurant hack, order a side of noodles and there should be plenty to split with the exception of the toppings. Price (4/5): Id say that the price is competitive, especially being inside Irvine Spectrum. Ramen orders range from 16-25 per bowl. Service (3/5): They were prompt to take our order but never really checked on the table after the food was delivered. This is an area of opportunity for the team.
Tried their ramen at their other location and wanted to try the spicy tuna bowl. It was pretty good, small but decent portion size for the price, wanted the tuna to not be mashed up and thought it would be chunks of tuna. Liked the avocado and fried shallots, wished it had more veggies. There was a slight spicy kick but tolerable. Service is good though and plenty of seating.
The food is really good. But you'll wait in line forever, so if you want to eat here, I'd recommend putting your name down on the waitlist first, then go shopping to kill time. The service is impersonal and it's pretty obvious they want you in/out, so for that, I'm deducting one star. But it's really not like Javier's or Cucina Enoteca, which are across the way. This is the kind of place where you grab a bite and go, not sit around lingering with friends. I had the small pork rice bowl, which is my go to, for less than $10. And my husband had a large fire grilled chicken, tasty with a very unique flavor, but he prefers the pork bowl too.

Our orders was prepared & served quickly. We love all the different ramens here. We have tried most of it and broth are creamy & flavorful. We also love the appetizers especially chicken karaage. Definitely recommend if you happen to be at Irvine Spectrum or you just one a satisfying good ramen.
Stopped by for dinner before catching a shower at the Improv. Definitely a solid option when you're at the Spectrum. Service was on point and the ramen was so flavorful. It was a Friday during Lent so I went with the The Veggie Ramen, which I surprisingly really enjoyed. The broth was super flavorful and all the toppings were fresh and filling - really enjoyed the tofu, broccolini, and avocado. I'd be back.
A nice ramen restaurant that serves lots of different types of ramen as well as rice and side dishes. The quality of the broth was great, very tasty and delicious. However the portions are quite small. They use the classic trick of having a huge bowl but very small volume at the bottom. They only serve a small piece of pork as well. Staff are all friendly and helpful, and they have lots of seating both indoor and outdoor.
Delicious food and great customer service! I've been here three times now and I continue to be impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Prices are fair too! We will be back!
First time I've ever been to Silverlake Ramen, at any location. Came with a group of 5 people. Majority of us got the garlic truffle and the last person ordered the blaze ramen. We also ordered a large karaage to share. Karaage: So good. The pieces are big and has the perfect amount of breading and chicken. You definitely don't feel like you've been cheated in either direction. Ramen: I really enjoyed it. It's on the lighter side, not too oily or rich. I could definitely smell the garlic when they first brought it over and it smelled amazing. The blaze was interesting. The taste was fine, but the slice of pork was definitely a bit off. Clearly, compared to the rest of the party, the pork was literally half of the size of ours. We're not sure why and apparently it's not the first time it has happened to him. I'm not expecting the exact same size and cut for every bowl, but the size difference was quite large. Thankfully, the server brought out another slice on the house, but this may be something to look into.
Jen wanted to try this place so we came here on a busy Saturday afternoon. We showed up just before the dinner crowd and were quickly seated. Tables are fairly close together, so expect it to be a bit loud and you will hear other table conversations. The menu was very helpful in making our selections. Jen ordered the Shoyu on Fire Ramen, while I went with the Blaze Ramen, both of our orders with chicken. I added an order of Spice Tuna Rolls. The heat and spice of mine was perfect. Jen said hers was quite spicy, but other than a runny nose, she survived. I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of the Spicy Tuna Rolls. We were quite full and happy. The crowd showed up as we were finishing, and the place does it best to turn tables over, so we paid and walked around the Spectrum afterward. I look forward to coming back here again, but definitely try to avoid peak hours. The only downside of a successful restaurant. Easy recommendation.
Such a great place!! Today was our 3rd time coming here and it always hits!! My husband and I always share one bowl! Today we got the Blaze ramen soup and it was amazing. Also Nicole our server was so nice! She greeted us with a big smile and she was super helpful and attentive the whole time, we need more people like her!!! The ambiance was nice very quiet and ac was perfect!! God bless this place! Can't wait to come back. Totally recommended

Silverlake Ramen is always one of my go-to places when I'm craving ramen. I get The Classic every time and substitute the pork for chicken because I'm definitely more of a chicken person. The broth is super creamy and buttery, but it's not too strong or spicy. My favorite part is the truffle garlic oil. It gives the broth so much flavor! Just keep in mind that this is more of a craft ramen, so it doesn't taste exactly like traditional Japanese ramen. I personally prefer this style, though, which is why I always come back for the same bowl. The seating area is pretty small, and the tables can feel a little crowded. It also gets busy around dinnertime, especially on weekends, so you may have to put your name on the waitlist. Luckily, there are a lot of shops nearby, so you can walk around while you wait. The atmosphere is casual and usually has a younger crowd, including a lot of teenagers and college students. If it's your first time here, I highly recommend The Classic! read more
Silverlake Ramen at Irvine Spectrum delivered a great experience. The ramen was excellent. Rich, flavorful, and packed with the right amount of heat. We tried both the Spicy Blaze and Fire Ramen, and both were seriously satisfying, especially if you enjoy ramen with a kick. The ambience fits the Irvine Spectrum vibe perfectly. Casual, energetic, and busy. We waited over 45 minutes, but their waitlist system is organized and effective, so you're free to walk around the Spectrum instead of standing outside waiting. Despite the wait, the food and experience were well worth it. Excellent ramen and definitely a spot I'd return to. read more

I come to this ramen place often, and it's always reliable. Even when it's busy, the service is consistent and I feel taken care of without it being overbearing. I usually order the truffle ramen with tofu, and the portions are always good. I've also tried the spicy tonkotsu, which is rich and flavorful with a nice kick. I always love getting their pork buns and chicken karaage on the side. The pork buns are soft and fluffy with tender, flavorful meat, and the chicken karaage is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside -- perfect for sharing or keeping all to yourself. Overall, it's a reliable, comforting spot with good portions, flavorful food, and service that keeps me coming back again and again. read more

Hello and cheers to 2026 !! Feelin the Ramen today :) .... There was a bit of a wait but not too bad . Ordered the combo with the chicken bun and the blaze ramen. I have to tell you it is SPICY .... I like and can take spice .... Start with light spicy and love up to medium . I did the full on spice . I can take it but take it one step at a time ... trust me . This is my second visit here the music is at a great volume and I've sat in the patio when it was a bit chilly and when it's been warm . It's cooler inside but I like some fresh air . Ramen noodles were very good .... Creaminess on point and I've already talked about the spice . Pork was very good and a great portion as well . The bun was also very good ... a bit lukewarm but good nonetheless ( spicy ) . The service is quick and to the point :) We will be returning . The broth is rich and savory, the noodles are thin, straight and chewy/al dente just like I like it. The chashu pork was butter soft, and thick. Everyone I know enjoys this place-there is a reason it's so highly rated! read more

Waited about 40 minutes on a Saturday night, which isn't too bad for the Irvine Spectrum area. It's definitely one of the cheaper dinner options there, so that's a plus. Once we ordered, the food came out quickly, which was great. I also really loved that they have outside patio seating so we were able to dine with our dog! Now onto the food: Karaage (5/5): Crunchy, juicy, and the sauce was perfect -- easily the highlight of the meal. Garlic Truffle Ramen (3/5): Could barely taste any truffle or garlic, and the broth felt pretty flat. The pork belly also lacked flavor. Blaze Ramen (2/5): The spice blend was overpowering, and even setting the heat aside, the broth just didn't have much depth. We were hoping for a more traditional tonkotsu-style richness, but the broth here just wasn't for us -- and arguably, that's the most important part of ramen. Maybe it suits other people's palates, but we'll probably skip this spot next time the ramen craving hits. read more

I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch, and it was moderately busy. Eating ramen outside in Irvine Spectrum felt rather luxurious, and the interior has some cool decal. The service was great, with our waitress willing to accommodate our party of 6 by moving tables around and constantly checking up on us. Blaze ramen 2.5/5: Very average tonkotsu ramen. The soup is rich and creamy but not much flavor after the initial sip. The pork was smoky and fatty, but only one strip left a lot to be desired. I got the medium spice, and the taste and heat reminds me of Shin Ramen. The noodles were fine. I didn't finish my soup like usual. Overall, I think there are much better ramen places in socal. But the service and ambience were very nice. read more
First time and will be back soon! Ordered the Soyu on Fire with Chicken (no egg) and it was delicious! Appetizers fried chicken and gyoza- yummy! Lunch service was great and fast. Love the decor too. Definitely adding it to my list of go to spots! read more

How have I not been here?! Came hungry after shopping. Sat at the cutest booth in the back with the cutest little signage. Service was amazing. Food was amazing! Loved the ambiance. We tried the spicy tonkatsu broth with pork belly. Another spicy broth with jalapeño and chicken. The medium was a bit spicy for me. So glad we didn't go with spicier. Spicy tuna roll yum! Asahi beer on draft beer . Wish they had more often but it was perfect. Will totally be back with my family! read more

silver lake ramen has become my go to at the spectrum when I don't know what else to eat! it hits the spot every time and I seem to always get lucky with timing here. I never have to wait more than 15 minutes and the service is always good :) I do think that when it's busier the food does not feel as hot which is not the biggest deal but it is something I have noticed. the vibe in there is always great and the lighting makes for great photo ops :) read more
Came on a weeknight so there wasn't a wait. I tried their garlic truffle ramen which came with kale, mushrooms, pork belly, and a side of corn. I also tried their chicken kaarage appetizer and chicken karaage curry bowl. Everything was delicious, and especially loved the truffle infused ramen broth. Service was friendly and quick. It was a cold night and I wished the restaurant was enclosed but it's pretty much open air with some space heaters. read more
I wish I could give half stars because I was actually pleasantly surprised with this place! I'd say it's a 3.7. The server was always there to make sure we had everything we needed even though we came pretty late, she had a smile on her face. The broth had the right richness for tonkotsu and the creaminess you look for. I got tofu instead of pork and the tofu was kind of a little mushy as in the pieces were kind of broken apart a little bit. The crispy rice with spicy tuna hit as it should and I liked the eel sauce with it plus the jalapeño. I feel like the add of jalapeño and the avocado really elevate it. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I was at Irvine spectrum then this would be a contender for a tasty meal! read more

I'd like to try this spot on weekday and see if it is any different. It was very busy, as I expected at the Irvine spectrum on a weekend, and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. It ended up being an hour. No big deal. Food was good and came out fast, but service was pretty lackluster. We were only checked in on to order and pay, never asked if we wanted anything else. Food was pretty tasty, but nothing really blew my mind. I liked the spicy tuna bowl a lot, and that they have a smaller and larger portion as well. I had such a great experience at Silverlake Ramen that I felt like it deserved a shoutout -- not just for the food, but for the genuinely amazing customer service. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. It's rare to get that kind of service at a busy ramen spot, and it really stood out. For food, I ordered the Blaze Ramen, which had the perfect level of spice and flavor. My honey bunch ordered the Truffle Ramen and added chili paste on the side, and honestly the two bowls were neck and neck. Both were rich, satisfying, and absolutely delicious -- you really can't go wrong with either one. And surprisingly, one of my favorite parts of the whole meal was the Arnold Palmer. Ironically, they were out of black tea and only had green tea -- but that twist turned out to be a win. The green tea Arnold Palmer was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. I honestly don't think I'll ever want an Arnold Palmer made with black tea again. Great service, great ramen, and an unexpectedly amazing drink. Definitely coming back. read more

Love the simplicity of the restaurant, customer service was very attentive and efficient, appreciate that menu isn't overwhelming but offers variety. Loved silverlake, we walked up and waited 15 minutes to be seated and the service was quick and efficient. I would recommend making a reservation if possible since it is not a huge restaurant. All I know the broth is vegetarian, but I'm not sure if the spinach/vegetable noodles are vegan, but the veggie ramen is delicious!

Can the mazemen be made vegetarian? I see on the online menu that there's the option of selecting soy meat instead of regular chicken on the menu but there's no leaf symbol next to it.
I was there today and mazemen wasn't on the menu. They have tsukemen tho, and you can get it with tofu. But the dipping broth is made out of pork and fish.
Is there outdoor sitting?
Hi Carol! Yes we have limited seatings on the patio and beyond the patio.
