We had a blast and we're going back soon to buy a RC truck. The shop is awesome too! I talked to Steve and he was super helpful and I could tell he loves this stuff. He helped us pick out the best one for our needs. They have other hobby projects also for all ages young and old. They have 3D printers also. Lots of parking and clean restrooms available. They sell drinks and snacks in case you need a little energy boost.

Mostly all we knew was we were tired of spending money on junk to only have it breakdown in a week or so. First thing you notice when you pull up to the store is the racetrack painted in the parking lot complete with several ramps. Guess what? It's free to use! 24/7! We went inside and we met with Floyd ceiling RC cars, parts accessories everywhere! It was exciting to see just how far this rabbit hole could go! In another section of the store stem-centric toys (like science kits and build your own RC Lego cars) and another section is dedicated to 3-D printing. Still further in are three indoor tracks that you pay for time on. One is a super fast carpeted racetrack, and then there are two rock crawling tracks one for minis and one for regular cars. Dotted throughout the store are numerous arcade games that are free to play. All of that sounds awesome enough, but the friendly staff are amazingly knowledgeable and endlessly helpful. They don't make you feel like idiots for not knowing everything they do. They really are friendly and I've already spent a small fortune there!

From the moment we stepped inside the door, you could tell something special was happening. A couple of tournaments were taking place, tables full of people playing card games, cards all over the tables, lots of energy in the air. It felt like an local game store type of place, a community hangout! Even though there were so many activities going on, it did not feel too crowded. There was still enough open area for us to check things out, and they offered a very strong selection of items! They had a great variety of trading cards, Pokémon, Magic, etc, including both single packs and bulk buy sealed items. My daughter headed straight for the Pokémon area, and we picked up a few packs while we were shopping here. It was a really fun visit overall. Both the lively tournament scene and the wide variety of cards that they offered made me feel like this is a legitimate store to support your card collection hobbies! My daughter and I both enjoyed ourselves and we would go back here especially to get more Pokémon cards. We'll have to try out a local tournament at some point too!

He gave us a lot of great advice and suggestions and we ended up getting a truck. My son loves it!!! He even showed us the proper way of turning it on and off to save the life of the battery life. Knowing this, my wife got me a rig from the Henderson location as a surprise present, but then realized that I already had that same one, so she goes to return it/exchange it (keep in mind this is within 24 hours of purchasing, never opened, sealed box), and the experience was far from 'friendly', everything about the return process from the worker was rude and made her feel unwelcome, in addition, there were unnecessary comments made from the worker, etc. I have store credit with Friendly Hobbies, but this is the last time I'm buying something from this location.... I'll continue to go to the Rancho location but its left me with a bad taste about this business now. Small hobby shops like this should know better that their customers are actively making an effort to support small business, when they can easily purchase the same RC rig online for the same price (or cheaper in most cases) and still get a much better return policy, that being said, you're probably better off shopping elsewhere online.

My husband is a big Gundam fan, and while exploring the area, he found this amazing little shop just off the Strip. As soon as we walked in, I could tell he was in heaven--it was like watching a kid in a candy store! The shop had a fantastic variety of Gundam kits, including models from Japan and another section from China. The collection was so well-organized and fun to explore. While we were shopping, my husband noticed that some of the same kits he had purchased online before were priced about $15-$20 less elsewhere. But even knowing that, he didn't hesitate--he wanted to support this small, local business. That meant a lot to both of us, especially after learning the shop is backed by its own tight-knit community. "Locals supporting locals" is something we value. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered their names--they made the experience even more enjoyable. We ended up buying quite a few kits and were concerned about how we'd get them all back to San Francisco. Fortunately, they offered shipping, and everything arrived quickly and was packed with such great care. We also noticed they were selling some awesome shirts and learned that the artwork was created by one of their community members. The designs were so cool and creative that we decided to purchase a few. We actually came back for a second visit during our second trip to Vegas--and, of course, picked up even more Gundam kits and shirts. With recent tariffs being added to imports, we wouldn't be surprised if prices go up by the time we're back in August. So honestly, what we paid might end up being a deal! If you're a Gundam fan or just love supporting genuine, community-driven small businesses, Downtown Hobby 9 is absolutely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to stopping by again on our next trip--stay tuned!

They have gunplas as well with premium Bandai. The staff was friendly as you can feel their passion towards model kit building. I didn't purchase anything as my collection has surpassed most shops. Got a new battery and he reset my watch to the correct date and time in just a couple minutes as he was obviously familiar with the brand. Very reasonable and less than what I expected. I was a walk in and he was very busy but took the time to get me what I needed and my watch running. Definitely my "go to place" from now on! Thank you and I will be back soon.

Four months to get my Rolex returned from cleaning with multiple issues wrong. I had no pick up…read morereceipt so I remained quiet and waited. When I did a charge back on my credit card it brought action when the dealer belittled me like I had done something wrong. I had my watch within ten days like I was initially promised. The watch loses 10 minutes a day after being in their hands. Gears might have been taken... After ample waiting time, the dealer then put the wrong crystal on my watch. He saw it through pictures and realized their "watch man" (Outsourced) had made the ridiculous mistake. It was a $600 repair that was 100% wrong. In previous post the dealer keeps stating that he has another watch man and would fix it free of charge. I was also told they serviced Rolex's in house. I would take my watch back for proper repair but the bottom line is I don't trust this store at all. I guess I'll remain angry about this issue for a long time to come. I never did business like this. I am so happy for all the many many customers that have rated this business five stars. I have a hard time believing we are rating the same business
