Great experience! Came here with my husband for a late Valentine's Day dinner. Don't wait long to get reservations! They are only open for a few hours in the evening and it is a SUPER small spot. We had to wait a bit to be seated for our 8 o'clock reservation, we were totally fine with it but the staff was super apologetic and thanked us several times for our patience. The food was Italian not too garlicky. A good strong tomato flavor but with good seasoning, so as not to be overwhelming, we are considering this for my wife's birthday. The food was great and I enjoyed the ambiance. The owner was very friendly and proud of his restaurant. He visited tables and talked with customers which I haven't seen done for some time. We felt rushed through the whole meal by the waitress. She had to redo the checks 3 times. By the 3rd time she added the 20% tip for a group. I wouldn't have tipped her that much otherwise. Came here on a Friday night out with friends for a birthday and it was pretty busy, but we made a reservation beforehand, so the wait was not too long. We did still have a little bit of a wait though, but the staff were so friendly and kept checking on us and updating us about our table and how much longer it should be. For the meal, I got an espresso martini to drink which was delish, highly recommended. The bread they bring out to prior to the meal was really good aswell. I also got the rice ball for an appetizer, and it was amazing. My main entree I got the chicken parm, which was a nice sized portion, enough for leftovers to bring home. We also decided on the cannoli's for dessert, they do only come with 3 in the order and there were 4 of us. Since it was my friend's birthday though they ended up giving us 4 cannoli's and said it was on the house! Which was very sweet of them. We've gone to Silvio's twice and both the service and food are always amazing! My husband and I took a quick trip to Louisville and stopped for dinner on our last night. The portion sizes are pretty large so we decided to split a salad and a meal (chicken parm) both were fantastic and we still had to take a small box to go. So this is my partner's favorite restaurant in Louisville and now I know why. We started off with the antipasto and it was delicious! On recommendation from the chef, put some Gorgonzola on the bread and top with the sweet peppers; he wasn't wrong! I got the pork chop and I think it's the best in town unseeding Jack Fry's as they are now #2. It was moist and tender with a ton of flavor and the vegetables were cooked to perfection! Since it was her birthday she got two cannolis that were to die for! I can't wait to go back and try more. Highly recommend making a reservation also! read more

I ordered the baked ziti. It was good but it would have been better had it been served hot. It was lukewarm at best! One in our group ordered the calamari which he usually loves. He didn't say anything but I noticed that he only ate about half of it, which is unusual for him. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Pros: - Easy parking on the street or across - Friendly owners and quick service Cons: - For a family owned Italian restaurant... food was ok. Not something I'd rave about. I've tried Eataly in Chicago, Convivio in Indianapolis, and IL Corvo in Seattle and these three offered a higher quality product at a comparable or even lower price. Which leads me to another cons: - It is priced too high. Portions aren't very big and a simple pasta is $18. Then you add protein or go with Bolognese or meatballs and you're at $23-25. Pretty expensive in the city that is not NYC or LA. - Covid concerns. The restaurant was packed. We're not talking 6 feet between tables here. Some staff members were wearing a face shield instead of a mask and interacting with guests which is unsafe. read more

I recommend getting their Diablo sauce and the baked zitti. The baked zitti was the cheesiest with goat and mozzarella. The spicy sausage in it was to die for. Both of the dishes came with a heap size of meat ball. A portion way big enough for one person. For appetizer I recommend ordering a side of their olive oil and balsamic vinegar for $1. It elevated our bruschetta and free bread. The owner was very friendly who greeted and chatted with each of the customers. He said he got all of his sausage and cheases from New Jersey. It's a family run place with his daughter as the waitress and his wife as the hostess. The waitresses were very accommodating while we were waiting to be seated. First need to get reservation next time, we walked in and they still somehow squeezed us in it to a little time but the staff and owners make you feel like your home!!! We ordered the seafood pasta, & the grilled pork chop. Both where amazing!! Also found out that the great HOF-Green Bay Packer RB-Paul Hornung used to frequent this restaurant! I've now found my favorite restaurant in Louisville. Yes, you heard me. My FAVORITE restaurant in the whole city. Let's talk about why. - I love the dining room. I mean, it's not that fancy, but it's just nice. It's small, so you feel like you're getting a lot of attention. The dining room is terrific. - The food is outSTANDING. More on that later. - The prices are more than reasonable. On a recent visit, two main courses, a salad, and a glass of wine came to $48. - The owner/chef came to our table (twice) to discuss what we're eating and what we should expect. He then told us where he gets his sausage and bread (New Jersey), because he wanted to get it from a legitimate Italian butcher and baker. And he tried all kinds of butchers and bakers in the area, and nothing satisfied him. So he has to order it from afar. And let me tell you. I'm not just saying this. But that sausage was unreal. I'll never be able to eat Italian sausage again unless it comes from here. I've been spoiled. Genuinely the best dining experience I've had in this city for the price. We went to Silvio's on. Friday night, it was very busy. I would suggest reservations. We stated out with calamari, rice balls and antipasta. All were very good, especially the calamari and rice balls. We continued our meal with Ziti ala Vodka, baked ziti, and chicken Silvio. All the entrees were very good. I loved the marinara sauce served on the appetizers and entrees. For desert we had the lemon mascarpone cake, tiramisu and a double espresso. The lemon mascarpone was light and fresh, but the tiramisu was also very good. The owner checked on every table at least once to see that everyone was satisfied. If I could leave 6 stars I would! We got there and had never been but we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The owner was so nice and made us some room at the bar. Everyone at the bar were friends and regulars and we had a great time chatting and joking with them. The food was DELICIOUS! We started off with the bruschetta which was great and got the fettuccini Alfredo and eggplant Parmesan. They put tons of sauce on which we loved and it tasted more authentic than an Olive Garden type restaurant. Stopped in for dinner while in town for work. Place has ample parking in front and around the side. I ordered the eggplant marinara. They serve a generous portion over angel air pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh. I appreciate the fact that the chef does not use too much salt (something many restaurants do). I also had a dinner salad (a bit expensive for a side salad) but their house dressing was good. Atmosphere is good and they have a small bar area where you can also eat. I will definitely return on my next trip and will have to try the veal parmigiana. read more

Found this little gem on Yelp. Drove the few miles to the restaurant, it was so worth the 10 minute drive. We ordered the toasted ravioli, rice ball to start, followed by a Cesar salad and grilled romaine salad, baked ziti and pasta with Silvio's sauce with meatball. Everything we ordered was amazing. It had been a while since we had gone out for Italian. Impressed by the reviews, I recommended to my husband that we try out this restaurant. I ordered the Meatball Lasagna, he the Pasta with Seafood, and our friend got the Chicken Alfredo. We also had the Calamari and Rice Ball apps. You can tell their food is made with love and authentic! The chef was friendly, and came around to speak with everyone, too. Normally, I do not order dessert when I go out to eat. I made an exception for this place because every dessert looked phenomenal! We settled on the tiramisu, but next time we go back (and there will definitely be a next time!)
