    Salmon Champagne and Linguine Polpette
    Cathy F.

Everything was perfect! The dining room is so elegant and cozy. We made a reservation and were seated right away. All of the staff were so professional and friendly. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine that was fabulous. For dinner we got the Salmon Champagne and the Linguine with meatballs. Everything tasted great!

Dropped food by my chair. The waiters cleaned up about 3/4 of it and left the rest. Yuck.

This was our first experience at Vincenzo's and it was disastrous. It was a prix fixe meal at $200 pp. We ordered ahead of time. The waiters were perhaps temporary help since this is Derby week. They were very disengaged, they delivered the wrong dishes, the beef was medium rare to rare (we were not asked how we wanted it cooked), the second drink I ordered never arrived. We were not asked if we wanted tea or coffee with dessert and my plate of food was dropped on the floor. The waiter picked up some but not all of the food on the floor. We threw a napkin on top of it to cover up the mess. What a debacle. To add insult to injury they tacked on a 25% mandatory tip for possibly the worst restaurant service we've ever experienced. I would avoid this place at all costs.

We had a fantastic experience at Vincenzo's! Our group of 12 was handled seamlessly by the staff -- they were incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The space was clean, nicely set up, and quiet, which made it perfect for our team gathering. I had the ravioli mascarpone, and it was absolutely delicious -- rich in flavor and just the right portion. Great service from start to finish. We'll definitely be back! * P.S make sure to try their Tiramisu. One of the best I've ever had!

A Louisville institution for many years...maybe a hair below the pre-eminent status it once held, as I see reflected in some reviews, but still a splendid option for a classic night out (or a somewhat hidden gem of a spot for a business lunch). Vincenzo's is Italian fine dining, pure and simple. Excellent pastas, veal, chicken, all the classic dishes. Tortellini Buddeke is a dish that one can never go wrong with. The Crepes Agostino are magical. And while I don't know if there's a particular prompt to cause it, they do tableside prep at times that provides a delightful mini-show with the meal. Quality wine list, cocktails are good but not their best offering (they do have a good overall alcohol selection). Elegant space, and the service is what sets this place apart. The staff is welcoming, efficient, a brilliantly balanced in their attentiveness. And Vincenzo still makes the rounds as he has for as long as I can remember (probably since they opened), which is always a welcome touch.

I went on Saturday evening with my mom and my aunt for a celebratory birthday dinner. Everything from beginning to end was excellent. We were greeted warmly and taken right to our table. Throughout the meal we had top notch service, great recommendations from our server for my aunt who is gluten-free, our water were never less than half full, and the meal was paced well. Our server was attentive without hovering. Before our meal, we tried the espresso martinis and they were excellent. I started with a half Caesar which was really good and for dinnerI had a filet which was excellent and cooked a perfect medium rare. And finished with a delicious Belgian white chocolate cheesecake. The chef even wrote Happy Birthday on it and the server lit a candle for me. It was an unexpected touch that put a big smile on my face. At the table next to us an older couple was celebrating a birthday. Their server was taking their picture for them, laughing with them and clearly making their night special too. Great experience all around, highly recommend.

    Fettuccine Alfredo

We've been here for my birthday and for a special date night and have been pleasantly surprised both times! What an elevated experience. We felt so special. The fettuccine Alfredo was incredible and they warm the dish right in front of you for the freshest meal. Both servers we've had were helpful, kind, and fun!

I've worked downtown for more than two years, but had never experienced the iconic Vicenzo's before. It's right on the corner of 5th and Market, which is experiencing a lot of development right now. It's located by a number of offices and Whiskey Row, so you'll run into a healthy mix of tourists and office workers. We went for a Wednesday at lunch. I'm from New Orleans originally, where business lunches are extremely popular and are much more approachable price-wise than dinners. Vincenzo's with its throwback atmosphere and attentive servers certainly made it feel like I was back in NOLA. The bread came out right away, and drink orders were taken quickly. People who knew I was going there all recommended the chicken Alfredo, so that's what I ordered. It was pretty good! And the portion was huge. I wish I could share more food insight, but that's what everyone at my table ordered. I'd be curious to come back here for a dinner date or even another lunch. The room we were in was fairly empty because most guests were in a different room for the monthly Louisville Forum. I'm looking forward to a return.

Hello! Can anyone give me an idea of the general prices of the menu items? Trying to pick a restaurant for an anniversary dinner and interested to see more details? (Interested in how much something like the fetuccine patricia would be)

Yes, 30-40 per person average, so with wine and salad, you will be around $120-$150 for a couple. I highly recommend the tortellini and tiramisu! Also someone mentioned Groupon, and they're running one now. Make sure you have a reservation!

We had made a reservation, and although we requested to sit there, that didn't happen. A table for two was the only option. So we replaced inside near a window, which was as close to being outside as you could be, but be forewarned. It will be a warmer seating area with the sun coming through the window. The speakeasy downstairs looked enjoyable. I loved the lounging couches and chair chairs when you first went down the steps. Our service wasn't so severe, but we had some difficulty snagging a server for salt & pepper, or, even a water refill. What really dinged the experience, was a small cup of salad dressing slipped off the table and hit the floor. It was never cleaned up. We had pointed it out to our server, food runner, and the busboy. Not one of them bothered to clean up the mess. Grassa Gramma can be an elevating experience. Superior food, service and ambience. Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam
